History of Ladies Asian Golf Tour The Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) celebrated the 29th anniversary in Officially launched in 1987 as the Kosaido Ladies Asia Golf Circuit (LAGC) in 5 countries, the first chapter lasted 17 years before the Main Sponsor, Kosaido Company of Japan, terminated the contract due to the passing away of its Chairman, Mr. Yoshiaki Sakurai in 2003.Those early years the prize moneys were in the range of US$50,000 US$70,000. However, many wellknown players such as Lisolette Nuemann, Sofia Gronberg from Sweden, Mardi and Karen Lunn, Corinne Dibnah of Australia and Il Mi Chung from Korea played on the Ladies Asia Golf Circuit as the launching pad to further their career. Prior to the official launching of the Asian Tour, there was an Asia Golf Circuit initiated by Mr. Koichi Kato of Japan and his colleague, British Mr. Michael Gedye from The participating lady professionals then consisted of mostly American, European and Japanese golfers with very few Asian players and the fields numbered between golfers. With the guidance from the late Edmund Yong of Malaysia, the LAGC was sanctioned by the Asia Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) since its inception as an official Asian ladies tour. After one-year gap the Tour was re-launched in 2005 by Mr. Koichi Kato of Japan, Mrs. Rae Vadee T.Suwan of Thailand and Mr. Aylwin Tai of Hong Kong as the Ladies Asian Golf Tour (LAGT) with 4 events in Taiwan, China, Singapore and Thailand. The Thailand Ladies Open in 2005 was cosanctioned with the Ladies European Tour (LET) with the prize money of US$330,000. The following year in 2006 the number of tournaments went up to 5 to include Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, China and Macau with prize moneys from US$50,000 US$100,000. In 2007, India joined the Tour for the first time and her winner was the freshly turned professional from Taiwan, Tseng Ya-Ni, while Thailand Ladies Open also produced another world-class winner, Shin Ji-Yai from Korea. The Asia Miles Binhai Open in China was tri-sanctioned with the KLPGA and LET and offered the highest prize money of US$230,000. At this stage, the 1

Ladies Asian Golf Tour welcomed the recognition and financial support from the R&A for its role in the development of ladies golf in Asia by providing rule-officials subsidy to the Tour. In 2008, four eventswere held in Thailand, India, Binhai and Taihu Suzhou, China. Both events in China were tri-sanctioned and offered the big purse of US$300,000. The Taihu Suzhou tournament was won by Annika Sorenstam who afterward retired from active tournament. Prize moneys put up in Thailand and India were raised to US$120,000. Then both venues also produced the same winner back to back in Pornanong Phatlum from Thailand. The LAGT experienced a setback in 2009 when only 3 tournaments were left to be hosted in Thailand. India and Suzhou Taihuin China. The well-seasoned Onnarin Sattayabanphot of Thai won the title in Thailand, while another Thai, Pornanong Phatlum maintained her great form to retain her title in India. Suh Bo-Mi from Korea hit her jackpot by winning the tri-sanctioned Suzhou Taihu Ladies Open with the Eiro 200,000 prize offered and entitled to pay the LET tour for two years seasons. The following year in 2010, the LAGT welcomed a new event in Indonesia, increasing the number of tournaments to 5. The prize money in Thailand was raised to US$150,000 then and Lee Jung Min from Korea emerged the winner. The first event in Indonesia was held in Bali with the prize money of US$120,000 and another Korean, Lee Solar captured the championship title there. Two tri-sanctioned tournaments in Sanya Hainan and Suzhou taihu offered the same prize money of Euro 200,000, which the same player Lee Ann Pace from South Africa won both Opens. The Indian Womens Open was, however, won by the famous British golfer, Laura Davis in 2010 when the event became a tri-sanctioned tournament with the Ladis European Tour (LET), Womens Golf Association of India (WGAI) and the LAGT, offering the prize fund of US$300,000. More tournaments have been added to the Ladies Asian Golf Tour in A few of them were unofficially linked to the LAGT for the benefits of the LAGT members. They included 4 events in Taiwan. Also a new tournament was introduced in Japan as the Yumeya Dream Cup, offering the prize money of US$130,000. This addition turned out to be a very successful attention as several thousands of Japanese golf enthusiasts went to watch the ladies in action. The organizers were so pleased with the tournament success that they decided to double the prize money to US$260,000 for A 2

Ladies Asian Golf Tour new tournament in Japan was scheduled after the Thailand Ladies Open in February which offered the US$130,000 prize money. The 2012 tournaments schedules on the Ladies Asian Golf Tour therefore had9 10 events including another new tournament in Miyazaki, japan for the ladies to challenge their skills and provide more incentive to the players with more prize moneys being put up. In Thailand Ladies Open the prize money has been increased to US$150,000 and a maximum fields of 130 entries have been acceopted from 16 countries. It has been a long and bumpy road from 1983 to 2012 for the development of ladies golf in Asia. Today the number of Asian lady golfers has been grown into thousand and many more are on the way. No word can sufficiently express our sincere appreciation to many generous sponsors, supporters, contributors, organizers, tournament hosts and those volunteers who were involved in our many championship. Hopefully the golfing sprit among this sport lovers will keep the ball rolling and the LAGT moving forward successfully for many years to come. Management Board

Ladies Asian Golf Tour Message from the Ladies Asian Golf Tour As the President and Commissioner of the Ladies Asian Golf Tour, I am honored to Ightlight that we are highly appreciative of the sponsors, the promoters, the host golf courses and media for their invaluable support in making the event a great success. Their gift is a valuable contribution in enhancing the profile of Asian womens golf. For the players, Beside their secondary aim of winning money, the primary aim of the LAGT players is to interact with the players of diverse nationalities playing the event and in particular to assimilate the different cultures and traditions of the people in those Asian countries. Thank you again and let me ensure that the objective of producing more Asian women professionals on the world stage is beginning to take shape now. Koichi Kato President / Commissioner Ladies Asian Golf Tour 5

MEDIA A perfect start to the media-friendly week for each Tour tournament week started with 'meet-the-playerssession' press conference and media releases by LAGT Media Manager, where journalists were able to get an insight into some of the global household names. The easy access to the players for journalists continued throughout the tournaments with the accessibilith of an interview room (media centre) and the players loungein this case the golfers decks of the golf clubs. There were also live-scoring on the LAGT website. Daily round leaderboard players were brought to the media centre for interviews. TV DISTRIBUTION A satellite feed (delayed highlights) to Europe and Asia (for ESPNStar) was done by LAGT Productions and Guandong TV (a 24-hour golf channel in China) OPTIONAL TO BE CONFIRMED 6

Ladies Asian Golf Tour PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGN Eye-catchinng, well-executed campaigns and promotions were held for each tournament to generate interest and awareness by way of street buntings placed along strategic routes and high visibility boards at strategic locations. Other promotional campaigns were via the media releases. 7

ON-GROUND SIGNAGES On-Ground Signages were also erected at strategic locations to aid spectators and visitors to both the clubhouse and the golf course. 8

Ladies Asian Golf Tour WELCOME RECEPTION As a curtain raiser to the tournaments, welcome dinner or cocktails were help for players, officials and the media for greater interaction. Guests were spoilt for choice with the fabulous array of food and free flowing drinks served. Exchanging jokes and stories, the players and guests had plenty to cheer about, giving the reception an air of festivity. The fun continued till late night though the players had all left and a memorable night was held by all. 9

PRO-AM The LAGT events are most popular and exciting golf days of the year. Sponsors and guests get an immense thrill by getting to play in a competition with some of the best women professional golfers. In some tournaments, the Pro-Am event took place a day before while some took place the day after the final round. Due to the overwhelming response the Pro-Ams were held in two sessions-morning and afternoon. 10

Ladies Asian Golf Tour GOLF CLINICS Primarily LAGT's focus is to mould Asian women professionals into world beaters, but simultaneously the Tours also complements the tourism aspects of the countries where the Tour tournaments are being held. Another joint objective is for the women professionals to conduct golf clinics at all the venues where the Tour tournaments are held. This was a great success as the clinics attracted between 50 and 100 juniors at all the venues where the Tour tournaments were held. Primarily, this is to aid the countries in the development of golf at grassroots level and enhance the interest of golf. Many junior players aged between six and 18 benefited from the tips and guidance from the Tour's women professional players who willingly came forward to spend four hours with the children by giving useful lessons in the art of striking the ball, putting and chipping. 11

Ladies Asian Golf Tour TV Production - OPTIONAL TO BE CONFIRMED The highlight show to be aired on Star TV is actually 52 minutes long - what is referred to in the TV world as an international one hour programme. The other minutes of the hour are taken up with commercials, programme announcements and so on. Within this format there are several opportunities for sponsors. The first is a 30 second commercial spot, for which we may use an existing TV tourism commercial if one is available, or we can produce one for the sponsor. The second is a section of the programme devoted to the local tourism area. This would normally be in two parts: an introduction with commentary explaining the beauty of the local area, or its golf courses, or its tourism - whatever was appropriate; and secondly, a feature on the players when they are not playing - which also promotes the tourism of the area. Thirdly, we would normally include an interview with someone from the sponsor - perhaps the Minister of Toursim, or a local important person who can talk about the importance of tourism. It is difficult to be exact on the timings of all these features until we film, but it is usually about 4-5 minutes. As to the scheduling, Star TV would normally like to air approximately days after the event. On some occasions, we will ask for this to be delayed - if, for instance, the sponsor would like the programme aired at a more suitable time, like a good holiday booking period, or perhaps would like to show the programme to the Organising Committee before it is broadcast. The programme shall be generally on-aired in those countries like China, India, Malaysia, Philippines and Thailand. However the choice of the area can be modified in accordance with the sponsor's requirement if the network is available. The Star South-East Asia feed covers Brunei and Indonesia; Star Sports Asia covers Vietnam (though English only); there is a local feed for Star Sports Taiwan; Korea is available through MBC ESPN Korea, but J-Golf may be a better feed, though at extra cost. So - all are available in the basic proposal: only Korea may require an extra placement fee. The LAGT events are normally broadcast on Star in 23 countries in Asia - all the major countries except Japan and Korea. Distribution can also be arranged in other areas, such as Europe or Australia, but there may be extra costs involved The basic cost shall be U$35,000 including production & broadcasting, which is subject to final confirmation. 27
