6 10 11 ABOUT THE PADDY HARRINGTON GOLF SCHOLARSHIP PROFILE THE PADDY HARRINGTON GOLF SCHOLARSHIP AT MAYNOOTH UNIVERSITY IS IRELAND S LEADING COLLEGIATE HIGH PERFORMANCE GOLF SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME AMONG THE BEST IN EUROPE. Maynooth University s Robin Dawson will be leading the GUI Men s Team at the World Amateur Team Championship Eisenhower Trophy in Carton House as Ireland s top amateur golfer. Founded in July 2006 following the conferring of honorary doctorates by Maynooth University to Padraig Harrington and Paul McGinley for their outstanding contribution to the sport of golf and for the distinction they bring to Ireland by their achievements. The golf scholarship programme is named in honour of Paddy Harrington (Padraig s late father) a keen sportsman and supporter of amateur golf in Ireland.
