4 St. Jude Children s Research Hospital Golf and the people of Memphis are partners in supporting the work of St. Jude Children s Research Hospital. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, the institution has become one of the world s premier centers for research and treatment of cancer and other catastrophic diseases in children. St. Jude has developed protocols that have helped push survival rates for childhood cancers from less than 20 percent when the hospital opened in 1962 to more than 90 percent today. Helping to support these scientific and medical advances is the FedEx St. Jude Classic, which has been a major contributor to the hospital for more than 40 years. Since St. Jude became the tournament s sole beneficiary in 1970, this event has generated more than $26 million toward the fight against childhood catastrophic diseases. St. Jude is the first institution established for the sole purpose of conducting basic and clinical research and treatment into catastrophic childhood diseases, mainly cancer. St. Jude is a national resource with a global impact and freely shares all research findings with doctors and scientists around the world. At St. Jude, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family s ability to pay. St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. St. Jude Children s Research Hospital is supported primarily by public contributions. The support of the FedEx St. Jude Classic helps St. Jude continue to be a beacon of hope for families in communities everywhere. On Tuesday morning of Tournament Week, players, caddies, wives and family members 16 years of age and above are invited to a golf-around at St. Jude Children s Research Hospital. Tours of the hospital are also available any time for those 16 years of age and above. We encourage you to take this opportunity to tour this world-renowned facility. 4

6 Practice The course is available for practice on: Monday: Before 11:30 a.m. and after 5 p.m. (shotgun start of Danny Thomas Pro-Am: 1 p.m.) Tuesday: All day The range opens at 6 a.m. Monday through Sunday. Parking Caddies will park in a lot reserved ONLY for caddies in the tournament s Lot B-West, which is adjacent to the club s permanent parking area (see map on page 12). Your PGA TOUR-issued caddie parking pass will allow access to this lot. Non-TOUR caddies may obtain a Lot B parking credential from Will Call at 8180 T&B Blvd. or at the Caddie Services registration desk. Credentials If you did not receive a Caddie Guest credential from the PGA TOUR, we are happy to provide you with one season grounds pass. Should you need this season grounds pass, please request one from the Caddie Services registration desk in the Caddie Hospitality Tent. Will Call Will Call is located at 8180 T&B Blvd. across from Thomas & Betts world headquarters building in the Southwind commercial area. Arrangements for tickets to be left with Will Call may be made at the Caddie Services registration desk. Locker Room The player locker room is located on the upper floor of the TPC Southwind clubhouse next to the Golf Shop. Caddies are not allowed in the locker room or clubhouse; however, the best place to meet your pro each day is at the bottom of the steps near the main scoreboard. Fitness Trailer The PGA TOUR Fitness Centers are located between the players parking lot and #1 tee (near the club s tennis courts), to the right of the front entrance to the clubhouse (see the map on page 12). The trailers are a short walk from the side (west) entrance to the Locker Room. Check Cashing Approved checks may be cashed in the Finance Office (Tournament Headquarters) which is open daily from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. Please see any PGA TOUR official for approval before cashing checks. Photocopy & FAX Services Xerox copiers and fax machines are located in the Tournament Headquarters office. First Aid If you need medical assistance, please notify any volunteer with a radio, or the Tournament Headquarters office. At least one of our doctors is on the course at all times and can be summoned by radio. Staffers from Saint Francis Hospital and the Shelby County Sheriff s Dept. also provide on-course medical assistance. Stations are located east of the clubhouse just outside the Tournament Office, behind the 13th green, and to the left of No. 3 fairway. Phone numbers of emergency services and medical specialists are found on page 9. Proof of insurance must be provided to these medical specialists before treatment. Notary Public Should you need a document notarized, please see Phil Cannon or Shelly Boxx in the Tournament Headquarters office. Club Storage Your pro s clubs may be stored in the club s bag room. Please ask your pro to make arrangements for storage with the club s head golf professional, Michaelyn Bradford. 6

7 SECTION 3 Caddie Services & Hospitality Caddie Services Tent Open: 6 a.m.-6 p.m. The Caddie Services Center is located immediately north of #1 tee in the Caddie Hospitality Tent (see map on page 12). Caddies will find one of the finest facilities on the PGA TOUR again this year, including an air-conditioned, floored center with cable television service, sofas, light refreshments and a comfortable restroom facility. The Caddie Services Center is open on Monday-Sunday from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. Caddies should register at the Caddie Services Center upon arrival at the course. The Caddie Services Center is also the location where caddies may request tournament credentials (see Credentials on page 6). Caddie Bibs Caddies will be issued a color-coded bib at the starting tee each morning. All caddies are required to wear this bib during the Wednesday Pro-Am and all four tournament rounds. The bib will be picked up by volunteers at the concluding holes each day for cleaning. Towels Complimentary towels are available for caddies use in the Caddie Services Tent. Caddies are asked to return these towels to the Caddie Services volunteers stationed at the scoring trailer following each round, in an effort to save funds for St. Jude Children s Research Hospital. 7
