3 9 th AUSTRALIAN VAULTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 05 Vaulters are eligible to compete in: a) Individual Horse b) Squad Horse c) Squad Barrel d) Pas de Deux (horse and barrel) e) Integrated Squad (horse and barrel) f) Integrated Pas de Deux classes (horse and barrel) CONDITIONS The Open Individual event (Classes and ) will comprise all 3 (three) Open Tests, run separately. The Advanced Individual event (Classes 3 and 4) will be run over (two) rounds. All other classes to be run over one round. National Classes: AWD classes are for vaulters with a disability; Integrated Pas de Deux and Squads must have at least one vaulter with a disability. Novelty/Fun Pas De Deux Barrel will be run on Saturday evening with a Celebrity Judge Open to all EA members. (Length minutes cost of $0 per vaulter) Awards for Australian Vaulting Championships: National Classes: Official Competitive & Participation Classes: Individual/Pas de Deux Horse classes - Trophy for first to third place. Ribbons First to sixth place Horse Squad Medallions for first to third place (including lunger/reserve). Ribbons First to sixth place Barrel classes Ribbons First to sixth place Recognition for Participation will be sew on badges, design to include logo and year

4 9 th AUSTRALIAN VAULTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 05 Perpetual Trophies: Australian Female Champion & Australian Male Champion trophies will be awarded to the winner of the highest Official class All the following trophies are Perpetual Trophies: The Sydney Vaulting Group Perpetual Trophy for the Highest Overall Individual Vaulter refer below for scoring The Riding for the Disabled Association of Australia Perpetual Trophy for the Highest Overall RDA Vaulter as for Highest Overall Individual but restricted to Integrated vaulters Highest Overall Total refer below for scoring The Sydney Vaulting Group Perpetual Trophy for the Highest Group/Club/Team Average refer below for scoring The South Australia Vaulting Committee Perpetual Trophy for the National Champion Squad awarded to the winner of the highest Official Squad class Best Official Vaulting Horse rug donated by EA awarded for the highest average horse Score from the National Competitive classes The Sydney Vaulting Group Perpetual Trophy for the Best Individual Vaulting Horse of the Championships, (Based on Presentation, Performance, Paces & Behaviour) The Fedrick Perpetual Trophy for the Best Squad Vaulting Horse - (Based on Presentation, Performance, Paces & Behaviour of any horse involved in a Squad class) Best Introductory Horse (Based on Presentation, Performance, Paces & Behaviour) awarded from the National Participation classes Best Lunger (Based on Presentation, Confidence, Controlled Lungeing Skills)

5 9 th AUSTRALIAN VAULTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 05 Scoring method: Overall Vaulter a) Based on equestrian classes, being - Individual Pas de Deux Squad b) Points awarded to each vaulter on the following basis st 6 points nd 5 points 3 rd 4 points 4 th 3 points 5 th points 6 th point c) If score is tied award goes to most number of st place wins (including any Pas de Deux and Squads classes) d) If still tied award goes to highest ranked vaulter (e.g. Open before Advanced) Highest Overall Group - Total a) Points awarded on the same basis as Overall Vaulter to, and including, (b) above b) Points awarded will be totalled for each group/club/team and award goes to the group/club/team with the highest total c) If scores tied award to group/club/team with most number of st place wins Highest Overall Group - Average (A group is a minimum of six vaulters) a) Points awarded on the same basis as a) and b) in Overall Vaulter b) The total points, i.e. the Highest Overall Total, will be averaged by the number of competitors in the group/club/squad and the award goes to the club with the highest average c) If scores tied award to group/club/team with most number of st place wins (including Pas de Deux and Squad classes) Integrated classes In all of the above scoring methods, if a vaulter competes in both Pas de Deux and/or a Squad and the Integrated equivalent, the Integrated placing/points will not be counted. Scores - will be posted as soon as possible after the class has been completed. The score sheets will be handed to the Club Chef d Equipe at the conclusion of the competition. During the competition the only people allowed to view the score sheets are the scorers and the judges. The final results will be forwarded to each Club within 48 hours of the conclusion of the Championships.

TBA Jenny Scott Lisbeth Betts Martin Boersma Lungers: All lungers are required to hold current official accreditation. Horse registration: All horses competing at the Nationals must be registered with EA at the appropriate level. EA Horse Registration Papers must be presented at the veterinary inspection and again if the horse is selected for swabbing. Horse points: As per the EA rules Swabbing: Refer EA Swabbing Rules 388ge=485&MenuID=Rules_and_Regs/759/0 Swabbing will be random i.e. All horses will be eligible for drug testing. Swabbing will be conducted under direction of the swabbing steward. Veterinary Inspection: The veterinary inspection is for all horses and will take place at 5pm on Friday 5 th September. Chef s meeting: Will take place at 7pm Friday 5 th September. Music Submission All music for running in/out, compulsories and freestyles is to be submitted no later than Friday 8 th August 05. Please read the following information about how to submit music :. Please post to David Waller, Lot Warrill View Peak Crossing Road, Peak Crossing, QLD All music is to be in MP3 format. 3. Please label as Class/surname/first name/event type/club for example: Class a/smith/john/compulsories/fassifern 4. A final check to ensure all the music has been received cannot be done until the final Order of Go has been distributed. Clubs / individuals are responsible for keeping their own list of what music they need and what has been sent through. 5. It is essential that all clubs / individuals bring a copy of all music on a flash drive to the competition in case a file has been mislaid or corrupted during the sending process. By entering these National Championships, competitors agree to filming taking place and photos being taken and that their image may be used in approved media. Presentations: Presentation of ribbons will take place at the end of each day s competition A Vaulters Forum: It is anticipated that the Vaulters Forum will take place at a time and place to be decided on the Saturday evening. Accommodation: - Camping available on grounds; Cost of $5 per site per night (All powered sites) (Minimum night stay) Booking Form attached. Caboolture Motel ( ) Caboolture River Caravan Park ( ) River Lakes Motel ( / ) Presentation Dinner: The presentation dinner will be held on Sunday evening QSEC, Cash Bar. The cost for adults is $35 and Children ( & Under) $5 (Entertainment included) Dress; Smart Casual Stabling: Cost of $5 per horse per night (Minimum night stay). QSEC s stables are all within close proximity to the campsites and main arena. Stables measure 3.6m x 3.6m, with anti-slip rubber matting and bitumen aisles. They have water and lighting in each aisle, 8 wash bays, a dedicated Veterinary Room, horse Waste bays. Sawdust bedding is included in the nightly stable hire fee. A refundable $50 deposit will be required to be paid, this will be paid to the Secretary and returned once stables are cleaned at the end of the competition a blank endorsed cheque will be accepted if preferred. Tack Rooms: Cost of $5 per room per night. Booking Form attached No smoking and no alcohol is allowed in the stable area. Raking the arena: A Roster for groups/clubs/teams will be prepared for raking the arena if necessary Raking Equipment to be provided. Horses training times in the arena: Roster to be prepared after entries received. Arm Numbers: Squads are to supply their own numbers. Numbers for individuals will be available for collection by the Group/Club/Team s Chef d Equipe at the meeting Canteen: Will operate out of the facility at the Indoor Arena. 8 9 th AUSTRALIAN VAULTING CHAMPIONSHIPS 05 CODE OF CONDUCT: Vaulters and officials must observe the EA and FEI Codes of Conduct. Competition etiquette should be observed at all times. Officials/coaches/lungers/Spectators need to have their mobiles on silent mode. Vaulters must be under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult at all times. If this person leaves the grounds, alternative supervision must be arranged. Supervising adults are responsible for ensuring that the property of QSEC and of other participants at the venue is respected and for any damage caused to third parties. Competitors must comply with any instruction given by officials at the event. Unsportsmanlike behaviour of any sort will not be tolerated from competitors or their connections. The Organising Committee reserves the right to change or alter any part of the programme
