Held in Lexington, Ky., at the iconic Kentucky Horse Park on Sept. 7-8, 2018, the show caters specifically to Thoroughbreds, whether they have recently retired from the track or are seasoned show horses. The show offers quality, unique prizes. 100% of proceeds directly support the nearly 500 horses that go through New Vocations doors each year. About New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program: Now in its 26 th year, New Vocations has grown into the largest racehorse adoption program in the country, with facilities in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kentucky and New York. In 2017, nearly 500 retired racehorses entered the program. Junior rider Riders 18 years of age and under as of 12/1/17. AA Open to Adult Amateurs only. For details on what constitutes Amateur status, please visit Fees Entry fee is $30 per class. Entries must be postmarked on or before August 15, Entries are taken on a first come/first served basis until the show is full or the closing date, whichever comes first. ENTRIES LIMITED. Show will hold a waiting list. Ride Times Provisional ride times will be posted the Tuesday before the show at or ed if address is provided. Final ride times will be posted in the show office by noon the day before the competition. Awards 6 ribbons per class. Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons will be awarded for the overall show. Prize to Champion. Dressage Tests The 2018 USEF/USDF dressage tests and 2017 WDAA dressage tests. All tests may be read. Horses can be shown in only two consecutive levels. (Example Intro and Training Level or Training and First Level, etc., includes eventing Test equivalents as follows: BN and N (Training), T (1 st level), P (2 nd level), I (3 rd level), A (4 th level)). Horses are limited to a maximum of three (3) dressage rides per day. Schedule Classes may not be run in the order listed in the class lists. It is the responsibility of the rider to inform the show secretary of any time conflicts as soon as possible after receiving the schedule. Management reserves the right to change officials, limit entries, combine or cancel classes, modify the schedule and rings, and to modify or cancel awards and/or make whatever changes are required by circumstances to the competition specifications listed herein. Show Management reserves the right to cancel classes insufficiently filled and to refuse or require withdrawal of an entry for cause deemed sufficient by Show Management. 7 7 New Vocations Show Specifications Eligibility All classes and divisions are open to any horse that has been registered with The Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book recognized by The Jockey Club. All Thoroughbreds must have T.I.P. numbers on entry form. Junior Junior classes and divisions are open to riders 18 years of age and under as of 12/1/17. AA Open to Adult Amateurs only. For details on what constitutes Amateur status, please visit Rolex Hunter Ring and Murphy Ring Special Hunter Division Open to all Thoroughbreds. Horses may not cross enter into any class where fences exceed 2 9". Fence height 2 6. Suitable Hunter Division Open to all Thoroughbreds. Horses may not cross enter into any class where fences exceed 3 0. Fence height 2 9". Low Hunter Division Open to all Thoroughbreds. Fence height 3 0. Hunter Derbies Offered at 2 6, 2 9 and 3 0. Two-round format with the first round to be typical hunter classic course with two (2) higher option fences and the second round to include handy -type questions. Both scores will be combined to determine placings. Questions may include, but are not limited to, halt on course, trot fence, roll back, negotiating natural obstacles, etc. Cannot cross enter Hunter Derby Divisions. Riders may ride more than one horse in the Derby, but may not ride more than one per fence height. Riders must declare intention to show no later than 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. Ribbons 1 st through 10 th. Junior/Amateur Hunter Derby Open to horses ridden by a Junior (under 18 as of 12/1/17) or Amateur who has shown in at least two (2) hunter or equitation classes at the show (warm-up classes excluded). Horses will be asked to walk and trot, and will be judged on conformation and way of going. Equitation 12-Adult Division Open to any Amateur or Junior rider age 12 and older riding a Thoroughbred. Fence height 3 0. Handy Hunter Division Open to all Thoroughbreds. Course may include, but is not limited to, halt on course, trot fence, roll back, negotiating natural obstacles, etc. Fence height 2 9. Riders may enter both Handy Hunter classes. Intermediate Child/Adult Equitation 2 6 Division Open to any child or adult amateur rider on a Thoroughbred. Fence height 2 6. Iggy J Hunter Classic Riders must have shown in at least two (2) hunter or equitation classes at the show. Exhibitor s fence height to be determined by the highest division competed in as horse-and-rider combination on Friday or Saturday. The class is a two-round format based on performance, hunter pace, jumping style, quality, substance and movement. Fence heights 2 6, 2 9 and 3 0. Riders may ride more than one horse in the Hunter Classic, but not more than one per fence height. Fresh Off the Track Walk/Trot Open to Thoroughbreds that raced in Judged on manners and way of going at the walk and trot. English Pleasure W/T Open to any Thoroughbred. Judged on manners and way of going at the walk and trot. Horses not eligible to jump above crossrails. English Pleasure W/T/C Open to any Thoroughbred. Judged on manners and way of going at the walk, trot and canter. Beginner OTTB W/T Poles Division Open to Thoroughbreds with a last race date in the previous 12 months. Horses not eligible to jump over 2. Walk/Trot only. Walk/Trot Division Open to any Thoroughbred. Horses to be shown at the walk and trot. Horses not eligible to jump above crossrails. To be judged on manners, suitability of horse to rider and performance. Consists of three classes: Walk/Trot Pleasure, Walk/Trot Equitation and Walk/Trot Hunter Hack, where horses will be asked to individually jump two crossrails set in a line. Fence height: 18. Walk/Trot/Canter Division Open to any Thoroughbred. Horses to be shown both ways of the ring at the walk, trot and canter. To be judged on manners, suitability of horse to rider and performance. Consists of three classes: Walk/Trot/Canter Pleasure, Walk/Trot/Canter Equitation and Walk/Trot/Canter Hunter Hack, where horses will be asked to individually jump

8 8 two jumps set in a line. Trotting jumps and simple changes of lead will not be penalized. Fence height: 2. Western Pleasure Division consists of Walk/Jog and Walk/Jog/Lope classes. Division may also be judged on turnout. Open to any Thoroughbred. Riders may ride one- or two-handed on any bridle. Western tack is suggested. Western headgear permitted in Senior Division on adults over the age of 18 only. Protective headgear may be worn without penalty in the Senior Division by adults over the age of 18. ASTM/SEI approved helmets must be worn in the Junior Division. Western Pleasure Walk/Jog To be shown both ways of the ring at the walk and jog. May be asked to back per judge s discretion. To be judged on the horse's obedience and suitability as a pleasure mount. Western Pleasure Walk/Jog/Lope To be shown both ways of the ring at the walk, jog and lope. May be asked to back per judge s discretion. Judged on the Western horse s way of going and manners at the walk, jog, and lope. W/T Equitation Open to any rider riding a Thoroughbred to be shown both ways of the ring at the walk and trot. W/T/C Equitation Open to any rider riding a Thoroughbred to be shown both ways of the ring at the walk, trot and canter. Rolex Jumper Ring Jumper Divisions consist of four classes, two on Friday and two on Saturday. Hopeful Jumper Division Open to all Thoroughbreds. Fence height 2 6. 14 14 Rules 1. Classes and divisions are open to Thoroughbreds only. A Thoroughbred is a Thoroughbred that has been registered with The Jockey Club or a foreign Thoroughbred stud book recognized by The Jockey Club. All Thoroughbreds must have T.I.P. numbers on entry form Show management reserves the right to combine, split, cancel or move classes and divisions as entries warrant, which could mean divisions may change days on which they run or rings in which they are held. Classes may not necessarily be run in the order listed in the class lists. It is the responsibility of the rider to inform the show secretary of any time conflicts as soon as possible after receiving the schedule. Management reserves the right to change officials, limit entries, combine or cancel classes, modify the schedule, and to modify or cancel awards and/or make whatever changes are required by circumstances to the competition specifications listed herein. Show Management reserves the right to cancel classes insufficiently filled and to refuse or require withdrawal of an entry for cause deemed sufficient by Show Management. Changes will be posted in the Facebook event, sent via to the on the entry form and posted in the show office. 3. All horses entering Kentucky Horse Park grounds must have: a. Valid proof of negative Coggins (within 12 months). b. Certificate of veterinary inspection: i. Horses arriving from outside the state of Kentucky must have a 30-day CVI ii. Kentucky-based horses must have a CVI within the last 12 months. c. Documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus vaccinations within 6 months prior to entering the grounds. The date of vaccination must be noted on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection. Horses that fail to arrive with appropriate paperwork will not be allowed to unload on Park grounds. 4. Proper attire please. 5. Unless otherwise permitted while participating in the competition as indicated in a Western Pleasure Division description, ASTM/SEI approved helmets must be worn while mounted at all times. All riders under the age of 18 must wear a helmet at all times, even in Western Pleasure classes. 6. No martingales permitted in flat classes. 7. No equine wraps or bell boots of any kind permitted in hunter or inhand classes. 8. Braiding not required. 9. For the safety and courtesy of all exhibitors and spectators, all dogs must be on a leash or confined at all times. 10. The Kentucky Horse Park requires horse trailer day passes for each horse at the show that does not have a stall. Exhibitors will pay a fee of $30 per entry as a trailer-in fee to be paid to the horse show. All trailers must park in approved lot. A special parking area will be designated and all day shippers must check in at the office immediately upon arrival at the Horse Park. 11. Entries for classes will be refunded upon presentation of a vet certificate pronouncing the horse unfit to show. If a horse is deemed unfit to show, the stall and administration fees will not be refunded and that entry will endure a scratch fee of $ Ribbons 1st 10th place for all hunter, jumper, equitation and pleasure classes and Ribbons 1 st 6 th place for all Dressage classes unless otherwise noted. Dressage will be conducted under 2017/18 USEF/USDF rules unless otherwise noted by show management or in these Rules. 14. Drugs and Medication - Horses entered into the New Vocations All- Thoroughbred Charity Horse Show and/or the T.I.P. Championships are subject to and must comply with the current USEF Guidelines for Drugs and Medication (Link) and are subject to drug testing. A Medication Report Form (available in the show office) must be filed in the show office documenting the therapeutic use of a forbidden substance. Violations and positive drug testing results will be cause for elimination from future New Vocations and/or T.I.P. events. Exhibitors should exercise extreme caution before medicating their horses.

PARTICIPATING RIDER CODE OF CONDUCT New Vocations Racehorse Adoption Program and The Jockey Club expect appropriate behavior from all riders, trainers, spectators and others participating in any New Vocations and/or The Jockey Club event. Inappropriate behavior may include, but is not limited to: possession, use or distribution of any illegal drugs; profanity, vulgar language or gestures; harassment (i.e., using words or actions that intimidate, threaten or persecute others before, during or following New Vocations or The Jockey Club activities); failure to follow rules; and abusing a horse. Reports of inappropriate code of conduct may be made at any time to the Show Manager via , text, phone call or in-person ( ). Any verbal or physical act of discourtesy toward a judge, show official, show staff or Kentucky Horse Park staff member on the part of a trainer, owner, rider, handler, groom, family member or person associated with an entry is a violation of the Code of Conduct. Persons found by show management to be in violation of this Code of Conduct will be unable to participate in the remainder of the show, will forfeit all fees and awards from previous classes and divisions, and will be ineligible to show at the T.I.P. Championships. 18. Additional Thoroughbred Awards To be considered for ANY Thoroughbred award, the Thoroughbred Information Form must be mailed with entry or turned into the show office by Friday at noon. Awards will be given at the Thoroughbred Recognition Ceremony in the Rolex Arena on Friday night. 19. Back Number REQUIRED to school at all times. 20. All Jumper Stake and Low Jumper Stake competitors must declare intent to participate in the show office by 12 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7. A draw for the order of go will take place and riders will be assigned an order, which will be posted in the show office by 4 p.m. on Friday. 21. All Hunter Derby competitors must declare intent to participate in the show office by 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. All questions not covered in these rules and regulations shall be decided by the show management whose decision shall be final. 23.
