All entry fees go to Champion and Reserve Champion Open to all Purebred and Half Arabians HACW will match all entry fees Individual Awards Sponsored by Greg and Julie Poor Class Specifications: There will be a time limit of 4 minutes to complete the course A regular maneuver score will be awarded for each obstacle completed. In addition to this, Obstacle Points will be applied to each obstacle. These Obstacle Points will vary depending on the difficulty of the obstacle. Rider may pick their own route; Obstacles must be taken at the gait specified. Approach and departure from obstacles that are not part of the obstacle can be performed at any gait. All obstacles must be taken at least once in any order, prior to repeating an obstacle USEF/AHA Equipment rules to apply, English or Western attire is permitted. Only one hand permitted if in Western attire. Rider with the most points wins! 4 For the 3rd Year Mid Summer is pleased to announce the following EQUITATION PROGRAMS ATTENTION ALL JUNIOR AND WALK/TROT RIDERS We are pleased to announce that The Half Arabian Club of Washington and Eros Arabian and Hackney Horses are sponsoring ALL class fees for: Walk/Trot Equitation JTR Horsemanship JTR Equitation JTH and Walk/Trot Showmanship EQUITATION CHALLENGE: We have very Special Awards planned to Champion, Reserve Champion and all Top 5 winners. There will be three sections offered; 13 & under, and 19 & over. Riders may compete in; Hunter Seat, Saddle Seat, or Western Seat Attire and equipment. If there are more than 20 riders in any section, the section will be split English and Western the show management s discretion. Each rider will meet USEF requirements for equipment and attire. The top 4 riders will be selected from each section to return for the final ride off. The two judges will judge conjointly to select the riders. In the first round the riders will enter the arena and ride collectively to perform all three gaits walk, jog/trot, lope/canter both directions of the arena. The judges will also ask for additional tests to be performed collectively. Tests from which they may choose: a. Collected and/or extended gaits b. Ride without stirrups c. Halt and/or Back d. Turn on forehand or haunches e. Transitions from any gait f. Reversing at any gait g. Counter lope/canter for no more than one lap of arena The judges will select the top 4 riders from each section. These riders will return for the final section and perform an individual pattern. This pattern will be announced and posted. Tests from which the judges can choose: a. Circles b. Straight line c. Figures of eight d. Serpentine e. Any of the test from the collective work

6 OFFICE INFORMATION OFFICE HOURS: Wednesday, June 5 from 12 Noon 9 PM and Thursday, June6 through Sunday, June 9 from 7:30 AM 15 minutes after the last class. The office may be closed during lunch and dinner breaks, and will reopen 30 minutes before the start of the next session. POST ENTRIES will be accepted up to the end of the session prior to the class you wish to enter. To ensure correct reporting of results, please complete rider change & scratch forms before the respective class session. ENTRIES must be submitted on the official entry form and be postmarked no later than May 10, Post entries will be accepted after the closing date at the post entry rate. Entries must be paid in full when submitting your entry; post dated checks will not be accepted. Open checks sent with entries will be filled in and cashed for the amount owed. An open check may be left in the show office when checking in to cover post entries and other incidentals. The secretary reserves the right to finalize open checks. Entries will not be taken over the phone or by fax. Entries will not be accepted without payment. FARM AND BUSINESS NAMES can be used only if it is the owner appearing on the horse s registration papers. In that case, the farm or business must be a business member of AHA and a copy of that card enclosed with the entry. HORSES ENTERED IN AMATEUR OWNER/JUNIOR OWNER CLASSES must be registered in the name of the competitor or a member of the competitor s family, as defined by USEF GR123. Eligibility requirements for these classes have changed effective Please refer to AR110.4 for further information. Horses registered in a farm/ranch/syndicate/partnership/corporation name may be shown in owner classes provided the family is the sole owner of the farm or entity as defined by USEF GR141 and AR110.4a. A contract or bill of sale cannot be accepted as ownership for amateur owner and junior owner classes REFUND POLICY: Management agrees to refund entry and stabling fees on any horse not fit to show provided written notice is given on or before May 10, After May10 and prior to Wednesday, June 5th at 3 pm, withdrawal must be accompanied by a veterinarian s certificate. In such cases, a refund of class entry fees will be given less a $15 office charge per horse. Stall and tack/ready room fees will not be refunded for any reason after May 10, There will be no refunds after Wednesday, June 5th, at 3 pm. ENTRY FORM MUST Be signed by the exhibitor, rider, driver, handler, coach (if applicable) and trainer. In the case of a rider under the age of 18, his/her parent or guardian must sign on the minor s behalf. All entries must have the trainer line signed, as that is the adult person who has care and custody of the horse at the show. Include the address, phone number and of owner and trainer. Include all current competing USEF and AHA competition membership numbers for each owner, trainer, rider, handler, lessee, agent and coach. INCLUDE WITH YOUR ENTRY A copy of registration papers for each horse, including contract or bill of sale if horse is not in exhibitor s name. (Horses being purchased may only be shown under new owner s name if a copy of the contract is included.) To show in AOTR, AAOTR, and JOTR classes the horse must be registered in name of owner or member of family. A copy of USEF Competing Equestrian Amateur membership cards and AHA Competition membership cards for each owner, trainer, rider, driver, handler and coach. Please use the online USEF card to show completion of the Safe Sport Training. Your check made out to HACW STABLING INFORMATION ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: Stall fees are for arrivals Wednesday June 5, at 8 AM and departures completed on Sunday, June 9. Exhibitors may set up and bed stalls in assigned stabling areas on Tuesday, June 4 at no extra charge. Horses may not be brought in until Wednesday at 8 AM. Early arrival of horses is available by contacting show manager, Joan Palelek, , to allow the fairgrounds to open the appropriate stalls. Early arrival is $25 per day per horse stall. BEDDING will be supplied by show management. A $35 shavings and shavings removal fee will be charged per horse. This procedure is more cost effective as opposed to purchasing bagged shavings. FIRE MARSHALL RULES: By order of the Fire Marshall, all aisles between stalls must remain open. All materials used for decorative purposes must be treated with flame retardant; this includes stall drapes, even those made of cordura. Please be prepared to present evidence of this to the Snohomish County Fire Department. The Fire Marshall will inspect the show grounds. Authorized electrical appliances for grooming purposes may be used. The electrical system may not be altered or tampered with, under any circumstances. If electrical cords are used, they must be of the heavy duty, outdoor type. SMOKING IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE ARENAS OR BARN AREAS. Shavings may not be used in aisles or barn walkways as they are a fire hazard. SHARPS CONTAINERS have been placed throughout the barns. Please use them. Competition management will fine any individuals $300 ($100 USEF & $200 facility) for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. STABLING ASSIGNMENTS: One stall per horse, except mares with foals. Stall assignment made upon consideration of sponsorships, volunteer status, and continued support in exhibiting at our competition. No stabling changes without consent of barn manager. The decision of management is final. Exhibitors wishing to be stabled together must submit their entries together in the same envelope. If you have special requests or considerations, please submit them with your entry. All requests will be considered, but no promises are implied. Stabling assignments can be viewed online at on Monday, June 3, STALL AND BARN CLEAN UP: Exhibitors are responsible for cleanup and disposal of materials other than bedding used in stalls. Exhibitors must remove decorations following the show and prior to departure. This includes any materials placed in aisles or outside barns or materials used for decorative purposes. The cost of clean-up will be $40 per hour and $5 per yard dumping fee for cleanup and disposal of materials other than actual stall bedding STALL CONSTRUCTION: Wood/metal with wood/metal dividers. Half or full doors. STALL AND BARN DAMAGE: Stalls may not be structurally altered in any way. This means no removal of fronts or tears down of sides to make larger areas. Do not put nails, screws or other types of hole producing devices into stall walls. The use of staples, tacks or tape to attach decorations to walls, buildings, stalls, etc. is prohibited. Horse hooves are not to be painted on unprotected barn floor and aisles. Exhibitors are financially responsible for any damage to stalls or barns and will be charged accordingly. Barns and stalls will be inspected for damage and alterations.

7 GENERAL RULES EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. EXHIBITORS ARE URGED TO JOIN USEF SO AS TO FAMILIARIZE THEMSELVES WITH THE RULES. USEF Vaccination Rule (GR 845) eff. 12/1/15: All horses on the grounds must have current vaccinations for flu and rhino. Exhibitors MUST have proof of vaccination in their possession for each of their horses at the show. ABBREVIATIONS: ATR Amateur to Ride AAOTR Adult Amateur Owner to Ride ATD Amateur to Drive JTR Junior to Ride AOTH Amateur Owner to Handle JOTR Junior Owner to Ride AOTR Amateur Owner to Ride JTH Junior to Handle ABUSE, CRUELTY, CONDUCT: USEF GR839, AR105, and AHA Article 703 will be strictly enforced. AATR SELECT, CHOICE & ELITE, AND JTR SELECT CLASSES: Riders will be allowed to level up at this show. A rider may enter their level (see your level at and a level up from that. For example, a Select rider in Western could also enter the Elite class. Riders may also enter the AAOTR class if they meet the USEF owner definition. Juniors, who are Select riders, may enter JTR Select classes as well as JTR and, if owners by USEF definition the JOTR. ADMISSION TO THE ARENA: No person may enter the space set aside for the judging or hold any communication with the judge or examining veterinarian without permission of the steward or show management, who will arrange an appointment with the judge at the proper place and time. AGE OF HORSE AND RIDER: For horse show purposes a horse is considered to be 1 year of age on the first day of January following actual foaling date. A junior horse is 5 years old and under. Junior exhibitors are those who have not reached their 19th birthday by Dec 1 of the previous year. AMATEUR OWNER FAMILY DEFINITION: Horses entered in an amateur owner and junior owner classes must be registered in the name of the competitor or a member of the competitor s family as defined by USEF Amateur Owner classes provided the family is the sole owner of the farm or entity as defined by USEF rules). The sale of a horse does not eliminate this registration requirement, Contracts of Sale or Bill of Sale will not be accepted for owner classes. Leased horses may not be shown by the lessee in amateur/owner classes. Combined ownership is allowed in amateur/owner classes only when these owners are members of the same family. ARABIAN AMATEUR-JUNIOR OWNER CLASSES : Eligibility requirements for these classes have changed effective Please refer to AR110.4 for further information. USEF AMATEUR CERTIFICATION FOR EC AMATEUR MEMBERS: EC amateur members, competing in amateur classes, must complete and sign a USEF membership application verifying they meet USEF amateur requirements. There is no charge. ARENAS: Arena footing is sandy loam or sand. Measurements are: Main arena 120 x 248, covered warm up 100 x 200, front sand ring 128 x 254, NE sand ring 130 x 200, sand ring between barns 105 and x 164, as well as several sand lunge rings. AWARDS: Junior exhibitor classes will be awarded ribbons to eight places. All other classes will have ribbons to six places. BIKES, MOPEDS AND ROLLERBLADES: Close calls between children, cars and horses have caused concerns. Please keep in mind this is a horse show facility, not a playground. Please supervise children when they are riding bikes and leave rollerblades at home. NW Heritage and the EEP will not be responsible for injuries or damage caused by such activities. BREEDING/IN-HAND SCORING SYSTEM: These classes will be judged on the AHA comparative system. Refer to AHA Comp 815. CHANGE OF HANDLER/RIDER: It is the obligation of the exhibitor to notify the show office of any change in rider, driver, handler or cancellation of entry. CLASS CONFLICTS: Exhibitors are cautioned against entering the same horse in successive classes. Due to full schedules, in-gates will not be held for riders with conflicting schedules. No refunds will be given for class conflicts. CLASS SIZE: Three entries constitute a class. Management reserves the right to cancel or combine classes that have not filled, to accept entries for unfilled classes at regular entry fees, and to reject an entry if in the best interest of the show. DISCIPLINE: Exhibitors are warned that any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the officials on the part of the owner, trainer, groom, or rider will disqualify the horse from adjudication. The show committee reserves the right to remove a horse, owner, rider or groom from the show without being liable for compensation or damages. It is a violation of USEF rules to commit any act or make remarks during the show that are considered offensive or made with the intent to influence or cast aspersions on the judging, and exhibitors may be barred from the show for this offense. DOGS: Dogs are not allowed within the fairgrounds fences, barns or arenas. They may be in the RV areas. FARRIER: Will be on the grounds Wednesday June 5, and will accept clients on a CASH ONLY BASIS. FEED: Feed is available from a number of area retailers. Check at the office for delivery services. FOOD: Food and beverages will be available from concessions on the grounds during show hours. LUNGEING: Lunging arenas will be provided, and will be marked. Lunging is not allowed in the main ring, the covered outdoor ring, the front sand ring, or the northeast sand ring.

Monroe: Guest House Inn & Suites , , Fairgrounds Inn: Snohomish: Inn at Snohomish: Everett: Best Western: , Howard Johnson: Bothell: Comfort Inn & Suites: Marysville: Comfort Inn & Suites: MOTORIZED VEHICLES: Minors who do not have a valid driver s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds. Minors with a valid temporary license may operate the above described vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver s license. The parent(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from the operation. Violations of this rule will b e cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s) and/or trainer(s) from the show grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for those with disabilities are exempt from this rule. Proof of Insurance must be available for golf carts, scooters, and motorcycles. OFFICE: Located in the north corner of the main arena. The show office phone is (360) PARKING: Parking is not allowed in the fenced fairgrounds area. Trucks and trailers must be removed immediately after unloading. Only emergency vehicles, vet and farrier will be allowed in the barn area. A fire lane must be maintained at all times. PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES: If you are disabled, please write a brief explanation of your disability and any special needs that you may have. Please include this with your entries PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR: It is compulsory for all junior riders in hunter seat equitation classes, to wear properly fastened protective headgear which meets or exceeds ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) / SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. It must be properly fitted with harness secured. Show committee must bar riders without protective headgear from entering the ring for classes in which protective headgear is required. RETURNED CHECKS: There will be a $50 fee per incident for any check dishonored for any reason. It is the policy of this organization to pursue all avenues to make collection on checks. In the event a check is returned by the bank after the completion of the show, it will be handled in accordance with USEF GR RV/CAMPER HOOK-UPS: There are limited hook-up spaces located in RV 1 north of the Equestrian Park and 10 hook-up spaces with septic services located east of the Equestrian Park, available on a first come first serve basis. Please pay for RV on Official Entry Blank. Day fees: $35 with electrical, water, and septic, $30 with electrical and water, and $20 for trailer camper with no hookup. Any RV taking up more than one space will be charged for a double space. STALLIONS: Arabian stallions may be shown by ladies and junior exhibitors in any class in this show except showmanship, lead line and walk-trot. Half Arabian and Anglo Arabian stallions registered with AHA or which have been issued an AHA Certificate of Registration issued by the Canadian Partbred Arabian Register are permitted to compete in AHA performance classes for Half Arabian and Anglo Arabian horses. TBA Classes: Any class on the AHA Class List or recognized by AHA maybe designated a TBA class. (Exception: dressage, cutting and reined cow horse. Sport horse classes dependent on section.) TRAIL SCHOOLING: Schooling on the trail course will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Pay $10 at the gate (cash only) for a five minute individual work. One round per horse until all who wish to go has gone. Time permitting, extra rounds may be purchased. This is a USEF Local Member Show: The total cash prizes shall not exceed $500. The Federation and applicable Federation Recognized Affiliate Association non-member/show pass fee will not apply. Local Competitions benefit from all the general rules of the Federation and must abide by applicable division rules unless class specifications are printed otherwise in the prize list. Amateur Competitors will be required to be a current USEF member in good standing with an Amateur designation.

11 MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION USEF MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A nonmember may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $45 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) Leadline; 2) Exhibitions; 3) Games and races; 4) Classes for 4-H member; 5) Walk Trot (exception: Friesian performance FR222) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions; 8) Opportunity classes; 9) Citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 10) USEA beginner novice division; 11) Assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes USEF Membership requirements for participation in Amateur Restricted Classes GR Only Federation members may obtain amateur status. Every person who has reached their 18th birthday and competes in amateurs under Federal rules must possess current amateur status issued by the Federal, (exception Opportunity classes). Anyone whom has not reached their 18th birthday is an amateur and does not require amateur status. Anyone competing in an amateur class will be required to be a USEF member and to have completed Safe Sport Training. Equine Canada members with proof of membership in good standing with Equine Canada who then must fill out the USEF membership form and sign the amateur certification. Every Class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rule book will be conducted and judged in Accordance therein. Each participant is responsible for the knowledge of and is subject to th USEF rule book. AHA MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Each competitor (this includes at least one recorded owner and all trainers, drivers, riders, halter handlers, coaches and the person(s) signing the entry blank) in an Arabian Horse Association recognized Arabian Division, at the time of entry into a competition, must submit a copy of a valid AHA membership/competition card, join AHA or pay an AHA single event membership fee per competitor. When an agent signs for the owner at an AHA recognized competition, both the owner and agent must be members of AHA or pay the AHA single event membership. Single event membership is not acceptable at AHA regional or national competitions. Exhibitors in walk-trot classes are exempt from AHA membership requirements at qualifying competitions but must have an AHA membership with competition card at AHA regional and national competitions. Exhibitors in lead line classes or parents/guardians signing for minors are exempt from AHA membership requirements. (BOD 5/12) AHA 2019 competition cards for all concerned must be mailed with entry or entry will be considered incomplete. All riders, drivers, owners, agents and handlers who exhibit horses in the show ring or sign the entry form as the responsible party for any individual s horses at the show must be AHA competition level members with competition cards or pay a Single Event Membership fee per person. If the recorded owner is an entity (Farm, Ranch, Syndicate, etc.) and does not have a current AHA Business membership, a Single Event Membership must be purchased for that entity. Exception: Exhibitors in Walk/Trot or leadline classes, or Parent/Guardian signing for minors. AHA does not permit Single Event Memberships at AHA Regional Championship Shows. An AHA competition membership card is required for all. Lead Line is exempt. Horses entered in Amateur Owner & Junior Owner must be registered in the name of the competitor of a member of the competitor s family. Contracts of sale or bill of sale will not be accepted on horses in Amateur Owner or Junior Owner Classes. Horses registered in a farm/ranch/syndicate/partnership/corporation name may be shown in Amateur Owner classes provided the family is the sole owner of the farm or entity as defined by USEF. The sale of a horse does not eliminate this registration requirement.

14 AHA ENTRY AGREEMENT I have read the rules concerning competitions as printed in the Arabian Horse Association (AHA) Handbook / Directory and Competition Prize List and agree to be bound by and subject to those Rules. AHA ASSUMPTION OF RISK, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION This document waives very important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing.
