2 Richmond s Ninety Fourth Annual BLACK AND WHITE DAYS National Spring Show A Richmond Lions Club Project The show will be held in the George B. Caine Pavilion, 50 South State Street, Richmond, Utah LIABILITY WAIVER Important! Read carefully before you participate in this show! The handling and showing of livestock involves risk of personal bodily injury and damage to property. The Richmond Black and White Committees and any other entities responsible for the running of this show, including their employees, agents or volunteers, will in no case be responsible for any loss, damage or injury done to or at the show, or injury to person or persons representing the exhibitor in any way at the show, EVEN IF SUCH INJURY OR DAMAGE IS THE RESULT OF THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE ABOVE PARTIES. If anyone feels he/she cannot make this agreement not to sue or make claim against the above parties, THEY SHOULD NOT PARTICIPATE IN THE SHOW. Participation in the show will be interpreted as commitment and agreement by all participating persons to assume all risks of injury or damage and as waiver of all rights to sue or make claims against the above parties. By participating in this show, all participants also commit themselves and agree to be bound to indemnify any entity or person whom they sue or make claim against, that is, they agree to fully pay such parties or person for any monetary or other damages that those parties suffer as a result of suit being instituted or claim being made against them, including but not limited to the payment of all expenses, attorney s fees, court judgment or other money damages arising from such suit or claim. 3 Horse Pulling Contest Saturday May 16, :00 pm Tickets go on sale Saturday 5 pm: $4.00 (children under 11) $2.00 Director: Shane Spackman Announcer: Brady Christensen Committee: Adam Johnson, Kim Johnson, Dallas Spackman, Phillip Spackman, Keith Ward, Jeff Young Teams must weigh in at LaMar Spackman s Ranch: 298 South 2 nd West (Hwy 91) between noon and 2 pm. Teams not weighing in will pull in heavyweight class. Richmond Black & White reserves the right to test any horse entered in the pulling match for drugs. Owners consent to such drug testing by bringing horses to the premises. Refusal to allow such drug testing shall constitute immediate disqualification of horse & owner. Any horse testing positive for drugs or found to have any electrical stimulation devices, will be disqualified & premium money withheld. Local veterinarian must be notified 24 hours before pull of any drugs used for medical purposes. Classes: 1. Teams weighing 3200 pounds or less 2. Teams weighing 3201 to 3500 pounds 3. Teams weighing over 3501 pounds A trophy will be awarded in each class. He has judged horse shows in both Utah and Idaho for more than 22 years. He was involved in rodeo in his early years, but with the soreness and wisdom that comes with age, has moved on to reining and cutting horses. He has trained horses for more than 30 years and has given clinics in Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska and Texas. He has shown horses through out the west including at the World Championship Snaffle Bit Futurity in Reno. This is Scott s third time judging here at Black & White Days. Judging will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. Horses are to be on the grounds and registered before judging for the class/classes entered begins. Before any horse may enter the ring, it must be properly entered on the registration forms provided at the registration booth. Breeds will be shown separately if numbers warrant. Six placings will be made in each class. Trophies and/or ribbons will be awarded. Classes will be judged in the order listed below. Halter Class, Mares: Entry fee: $5.00 per class 1. Baby Fillies - born year olds 3. 2 year olds 4. 3 year olds 5. Aged Mares 4 and older (no cross entry with class 6) 6. Brood Mares - foaled in 2008 or 2009 (no cross entry with class 5) Grand & Reserve Champion Mares all 1 st and 2 nd place winners Halter Class, Geldings: 7. 1 year olds 8. 2 year olds 9. 3 year olds 10. Aged Geldings - 4 and older Grand & Reserve Champion Geldings all 1 st and 2 nd place winners Halter Class, Stallions: 11. Baby Colts - born year olds year olds year olds 15.
