NARELLA - Unbeaten after two starts including a Group Three at Baden Baden last month. Stiffer test on French debut (1) MAGICAL kept on well when beaten a short head by stablemate Happily in a Group One race at the Curragh last time out. She was a Group Two winner there before that and won over this trip at Cork in August. She gets the vote ahead of (5) POLYDREAM who has impressed in both her starts to date and has a huge reputation with a massive chance. (6) SOUSTRACTION and (3) ZONZA are next best. (1) MAGICAL - (5) POLYDREAM - (6) SOUSTRACTION - (3) ZONZA

3 Race 2 1. OLMEDO - A close second to Stage Magic in a Group Three here over course and distance last month. Respected today 2. MASAR - Stayed on well to win a Group Three at Sandown last month. Can be in the mix today 3. MYTHICAL MAGIC - A close third in a Group Two race at Doncaster last month. Step up in trip should suit him today 4. WOODMAX - Won a Class 2 race at Maisons-Laffitte last time out. Step up in class here today 5. FRANCESCO BERE - A battling win over subsequent Group Three winner Stage Magic in a Listed race at Deauville last time out 6. HAPPILY - Stayed on well for a narrow victory in a Group One at the Curragh last month. Not ruled out here After finishing second to Magical in a Group Two at the Curragh in August (6) HAPPILY turned the tables on her with a hard fought victory in a Group One race there last month. She can beat the colts here. (2) MASAR stayed on well to win a Group Three at Sandown last time out and must be respected. (1) OLMEDO and (3) MYTHICAL MAGIC are next best. 4 Race 3 1. KAREEM KB - Well beaten seventh in a Listed race at Craon last month. Needs to improve to feature here today 2. HANDASSA - Won a Group Two race in Turkey last month. Group One winner at Meydan earlier this year and respected here 3. BA'SIL - Has not won since January 2016 and has been in poor form so far this year 4. AL MOUWAFFAK - Second in a Group Two race in Turkey last month. Likely to find a few too good today 5. KHATAAB - Hard fought win in a Group One at Deauville last time out. Not without a chance today 6. METRAG - Second in a Listed race in the Netherlands last time out and faces better opposition today 7. GAZWAN - Well beaten third behind Ebraz in a Group One race here last month. Can get closer than that today 8. TAYF - Group One winner at Goodwood last time out on August 2nd. Can be in the mix here today 9. SNIPER DE MONLAU - Has not run since March 25th when third in a Group One at Meydan. First start on French soil today 10. AVONMOUTH - Ten wins from eleven career starts in Russia. Much stiffer test here on his French debut 11. LIGHTNING BOLT - A close second to Khataab in a Group One at Deauville last time out and must be respected here today 12. MOTRAG - Third in Group One races at Doncaster and Newbury in his last two starts. Place prospects 13. EBRAZ - Impressive winner of a Group One race over course and distance here last month. One for the short list 14. YAZEED - Six lengths second to Ebraz in a Group One race over course and distance here last month 15. SYLVINE AL MAURY - Third behind Khataab and Lightning Bolt in a Group One race at Deauville last time out 16. PRADA T - Third in a Group One at Goodwood last time out on August 2nd. Might find a few too good today

5 (13) EBRAZ was beaten a nose by (8) TAYF in a Group One race at Goodwood in early August but can reverse those placings today. He has since been an impressive winner of a Group One race here last month. (7) GAZWAN was a well beaten third behind the selection last time out but should come on for that run and must be respected. (14) YAZEED and (2) HANDASSA are next best. (13) EBRAZ - (8) TAYF - (7) GAZWAN - (14) YAZEED - (2) HANDASSA

6 Race 4 1. ZARAK - High class colt who has been absent since winning the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud in July on first try at this distance. The draw is the problem even though Soumillon is very confident about his chances indeed 2. DOHA DREAM - Unfortunate faller in the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud when seemingly full of running and has performed creditably since but looks to be only an each way shot at best today with others being preferred 3. ONE FOOT IN HEAVEN - This now five year old ended last season with a good third in the Hong Kong Vase and also scored a brace of Group Two victories in a solid year. Light campaign this time round and is an outsider 4. ULYSSES - Trained by the genius Michael Stoute who excels with this type of horse. Put up huge performance in the Juddmonte last time having previously been runner up to Enable in the King George. His stamina is the issue plus his good draw might be a worry rather than helpful 5. CLOTH OF STARS - Very talented sort who rather blew out in his three year old season but has bounced back in earnest this time round rattling up a hat trick by beating Zanak in the Ganay. Lovely prep behind Dschingis Secret in the Foy. Respected 6. SILVERWAVE - Classy winner of the Grand Prix de Saint-Cloud last year and then runner up to Zarak in it this year but others look much stronger for this today and a place seems the very best hope now at this point 7. IDAHO - He looked to be an absolute certainty in running during last year's St Leger until unfortunately falling and many feel he has never really recovered despite winning at Royal Ascot and finishing third to Enable in the King George. There will be worse outsiders 8. DSCHINGIS SECRET - Followers of the clock will not have been one bit surprised by the manner of his victory over Cloth Of Stars in the Prix Foy last time out. He is a high class stayer from Germany and will relish the give underfoot. Big chance 9. SATONO DIAMOND - High class Japanese runner in his own country and bidding to give them their first winner in this great race. Hugely impressive in the Arima Kinnen last year he flopped badly in the Foy and looks to have a huge task on now 10. SATONO NOBLESSE - A Grade Two winner in Japan and stablemate of Satono Diamond he is here primarily to try and make the pace for his illustrious companion. He failed to do it properly in the Foy and has zero chance in this. Hopefully he can stay out of the way 11. IQUITOS - Very good older German stayer and a double Group One winner including the Grosser Dallymar-Preis in July. Has form with the best of his compatriots like Dschingis Secret and formerly Protectionist. This still looks a

7 step beyond however 12. ORDER OF ST GEORGE - Very little is not known about this top class colt who prepped for this with a runaway win in the Irish St Leger. Should have won the Ascot Gold Cup but arrived too late and finished an excellent third in this last year. Big player today 13. SEVENTH HEAVEN - Very high class mare and had a wonderful 2016 winning the Irish and Yorkshire Oaks before a fourth in the Breeders Cup Filly and Mare. Reappeared to finish second in the Sheema Classic before a romp in The Jockey Club stakes. Failed miserably in prep for this though 14. BRAMETOT - High class three year old colt who won the Guineas and Jockey Club (French Derby) and the world looked at his feet. However he had a disastrous reappearance run after a break and comes here fresh now after that lapse. The jury is out and could be a slow starter 15. CAPRI - High class colt from Aidan O'Brien's army and toughed it out after an interrupted preparation to win the English St Leger a few weeks ago. Represents all of the best Derby form on offer and many will fancy him to go very close and with good reason 16. PLUMATIC - Trained by one of the best ever in Andre Fabre this superbly bred colt has just had the four runs and indeed has never raced beyond 2,100 metres. The fact that Fabre is running signals that he believes in him and who are we to disagree 17. ENABLE - An absolutely outstanding filly that has put her sire Nathaniel on the map with his first crop. She has won just about every Oaks that is out there and demolished Ulysses and Idaho in the King George. Has a perfect draw and will take this if the long season has not caught up with her 18. WINTER - Another first class filly and an intriguing entry from O'Brien as this will be her first shot at this distance. The portents look good for her to see out the trip based on her running style. She prepped for this in the Matron having missed work prior to that. Excellent chance An absolutely mouthwatering renewal of the greatest race in the world. The big question is whether or not the long hard season will have caught up on (17) ENABLE. John Gosden seems to think not having reported during the week that she is heavier now than at any stage of the campaign. She is so versatile and will cope with anything they throw at her and has the plum draw. (18) WINTER adds a huge amount of intrigue and can take second ahead of (12) ORDER OF ST GEORGE and (8) DSCHINGIS SECRET.

QUEEN'S TRUST - Third behind Enable in a Group One at York last time out in August. Not without a chance here 3. THE BLACK PRINCESS - Unplaced behind Bateel here last time out but won a Group Three here over course and distance in April 4. SILVER STEP - Unplaced in a Listed race at Maisons-Laffitte last month and needs to improve on that to feature here 5. LEFT HAND - Third behind Bateel here in the Prix Vermille here last month. Solid Group performer and must be respected 6. HYDRANGEA - Just touched off Winter in a Group One at Leopardstown last month. Extra 400m to travel here 7. SENGA - Won the Group One Prix De Diane here in June. Third in a Group Two at Deauville last time out but not without a chance 8. LADY FRANKEL - Last of seven behind Ribchester in a Group One race here last month. Might find a few too good here 9. LACAZAR - Has won her last four in Germany including a Group One at Dusseldorf last time out. Interesting here 10. WUHEIDA - Fourth behind Hydrangea in a Group One at Leopardstown last month. Won a Group One here last year 11. ONTHEMOONAGAIN - Second to Sobetsu in a Group Two at Deauville last time out. Place prospects here today 12. RHODODENDRON - Disappointing in her last two starts here and at Leopardstown. Respected if back to her best form 13. MELESINA - Probably needed the run when unplaced in a Listed race here last month. Hard to recommend today 14. ASHIANA - Won a Group Two race at Baden Baden last month but faces better opposition here today (12) RHODODENDRON was pulled up here in the Prix De Diane here in June before needing the run when unplaced in a Group One at Leopardstown last month. She was runner up behind the high class Enable and Winter earlier this year and can go close here at a decent price. (2) QUEEN'S TRUST and (6) HYDRANGEA are obvious dangers. The German raider (9) LACAZAR is another

11 Race 6 1. DUKE OF FIRENZE - Unplaced in a Class B handicap at Doncaster last month. Likely to find a few too good here today 2. BATTAASH - Has won three from four this year including a Group Two and Group Three and can be in the mix today 3. SON CESIO - Won a Group Two at Baden Baden last month but will need to improve on that again today 4. SIGNS OF BLESSING - Impressive Group Three winner at Deauville last time out. 200m less today but not ruled out 5. PROFITABLE - Finished behind a couple of these when sixth in a Group One race at York last time out on August 28th 6. DER GRAUE - Has won four handicaps this year but a big step up in class here today 7. LARGENT DU BONHEUR - Fifth to Lady Macapa in a Group Three race over course and distance here last month. Needs to improve from that 8. FINSBURY SQUARE - Second to Signs Of Blessing in a Group Three race at Deauville last time out. Place prospects today 9. QUEEN KINDLY - Unplaced in a Group One race at Haydock last month. Hard to recommend here today 10. FASHION QUEEN - A close third to Lady Macapa in a Group Three race over course and distance here last month. More required today 11. MARSHA - A Group One winner at York last time out. Won this race last year and one for the short list again today 12. ALPHABET - Runner up in her last two races at Naas and the Curragh. Tougher test here today 13. RIMINI - Won a Group Three race over course and distance here last month but a big ask against his elders today The winner of this race last year (11) MARSHA comes here in great form having won a Group One race at York last month. She had a couple of these behind on that occasion and looks the one to beat again today. (4) SIGNS OF BLESSING is high class and will be staying on at the finish and cannot be ruled out. (2) BATTAASH and (8) FINSBURY SQUARE can fill the minor placings.

Unlucky in running at Goodwood last time but one for the short list today 3. BRANDO - Disappointing last time out at Haydock but won a Group One at Deauville in August and must be respected 4. ACLAIM - Second to Brando at Deauville in August and won a Group Two at Doncaster last month. Respected 5. TOSCANINI - Second in a Group Three at York last time out but likely to find a few too good here today 6. ZALAMEA - Fourth behind Karar in a Group Three race here last month. Tough task today 7. SO BELOVED - Placed in a couple of Group races this year but has not won since May 2016 and others preferred today 8. ATTENDU - Hard fought win in a Group Three race at Deauville last time out. Place prospects here 9. REALTRA - Has won two Group Three races in Ireland this year but will have to improve again to feature here 10. DAME DU ROI - Two and a half lengths third behind Karar in a Group Three race here last month. More required today (2) ZELZAL did not get any luck in running at Goodwood last time out but still acquitted himself well. Three of his four career wins have been here and he will be hard to beat again today. Had been off for four months prior to finishing a distant fifth of seven to (4) Chacha and Rhum here on September 3 3. BONFOU D'AIRY - Runner-up here over hurdles in May. Faded in the closing stages of both runs at Auteuil last month on return from a three-month break 4. CHACHA AND RHUM - Course winner in a hurdle race in June. Third of seven also here latest in a chase beating two who reoppose 5. CLINT - Third at Cluny on chasing debut 13 months ago. Second run back from a 12-month absence 6. BORSA D'AIRY - Well beaten on seasonal bow - in the race where (4) Chacha and Rhum was third - at this track on September 3. Pulled-up also here two weeks later. Cheekpieces first time 7. CASHBURG - Yet to make the frame in seven outings. Distant sixth of seven to (4) Chacha and Rhum here over hurdles when last seen in June Winning-hurdler (4) CHACHA AND RHUM has been knocking on the door over the bigger obstacles and can come out on top in the chase that opens a mixed card. (3) BONFOU D'AIRY hasn't shown much in his two runs back from a break but should strip fitter here and has run well at this track before. Second offspring of unraced mare The supplemented (6) MISS ALPHA could be the one to follow in the first of the flat contests. The daughter of Cape Cross wasn't disgraced when sixth at Maisons-Laffitte on debut and can lose her maiden tag this time. (8) LOMAO hails from a yard that can get them ready first time and is likely to be the best of the debutants. (4) CLOSE TO MY HEART can fill the frame. Fourth foal of successful mare who has produced one winner. Reported to be working well at home 5. WINWHIP - To the rear in all three outings so far - the last twice in claimers 6. If the gelding can hold it all together than he can outpoint the likes of (14) DELTA DE LOIRON and (5) DIAMANT DES BOIS. ANDY MIP - Showed better intentions when fifth in an amateur race at Agen last time but plenty more is needed today 7. AMERICAN MASTER - Best to forget last run under the saddle. Capable on both codes. Well-entered on front row and has a leading chance 8. ALPES DE LA BRETTE - Never a factor on all three runs this year and although well-entered on front row, has a few lengths to find 9. ALL RIGHT MARCEAUX - Running well of late but faces a tough assignment from second row and others can be preferred 10. AMBIANCE DU LOISIR - Two modest efforts this year and all shoes still on. Unlikely to be ready yet 11. ASTON BRICKEL - Capable sort in amateur races but faces a tough task here and best to be watched 12. ARTIC SUN - Cannot be worth any consideration on paper and best to ignore 13. ANANDA - Running well of late on both disciplines and looks a sound podium contender 14. ACTION FORCE - Multiple course and distance winner. On top of her game and looks hard to oppose 15. ANICET LE FOL - Well beaten last two times out in similar contests and has a bit to prove at present 16. AURA DE PINTIGNIES - Obvious lack of consistency and many others make much more appeal

VICTOR LE FOL - Ridden races specialist who has shown consistency but up against some serious rival today and best to watch 5. VIVOLI - Outclassed rivals in a grade G at Lyon la Soie last time and has to be hugely respected on the back of this effort 6. URBAIN THE BEST - Has shown modest recent form and has a few lengths to find to make the frame 7. VAINQUEUR DE SALVI - Very capable sort on a good day and benefits from a good entry on front row. Player 8. ANTIK DE MORGE - Ran below expectations last time out at Parilly but has solid previous form and can make amends 9. UGO D'URZY - Improved last run at Vichy but still has a few lengths to find to feature 10. ACTARUS DE CHAMBE - Has been running extremely well on turf all year and can make a big impact if capable of transferring this form to sand 11. TRITON DE MEUNIER - Has done very little to impress since the turn of the year and not a priority 12. ALIK JULRY - Gone out of form in last three starts and has quite a bit to prove at present 13. UPSALIN DES BAULTS - Showed significant progress when runner-up in a valuable race at Cavaillon and has claims on the back of this performance 14. CONFLIT - Well-entered on front row. Had displayed some nice efforts earlier in the season and cannot be ruled out 8. CASH DE LA ROUE - Never finishes far from the action and has a realistic chance to make the frame off front row 9. CARESS OAKS - Out of form since last May and has quite a bit to prove at present 10. CHARLINE LADY - Disappointing last two starts after a string of good performances. Returns from a three months break 11. CRACK DE BANNES - Very capable horse when he can keep within the rules and definitely one for the shortlist 12. CLOVIS DU VAL - Reliable performer in this class of event. On-form and should be at the premises 13. CERISE D'ASNOIS - Firing on all cylinders since May and expected to run a big race once again 14.
