7 Horsemen s Lounge Del Mar provides its horsemen with the special Horseman s Lounge, a pleasant spot to relax or conduct general business on the third floor of the Grandstand. The room has its own balcony overlooking the paddock, a bar, betting windows, a conference area and facilities for faxing or copying documents, as well as Wi-Fi. The room is opened to licensed owners and trainers. Horsemen s Liaison Del Mar provides a Horsemen s Liaison Department stationed in the frontside racing office each racing day to aid you in the conduct of your backside and frontside business. Our friendly staff is here to help and can be reached at Paddock Sale Out-of-state horses, eligible to run at Del Mar in the lucrative Ship and Win program, will be offered for sale at an auction conducted by Barretts in the beautiful Del Mar Paddock after the races on Wednesday, July 25. The Paddock Sale will be open to all interested parties. Weekly Winners receive gift certificates from that week s partners and are announced in the racing program. 9 DEL MAR TO HOST FIVE BREEDERS CUP CHALLENGE RACES AS PART OF 2018 SCHEDULE Del Mar will host five automatic qualifying races during the international 2018 Breeders Cup Challenge Series. As part of the enhanced benefits program for Breeders Cup Challenge winners, the Breeders Cup will pay the entry fees and provide a travel allowance for the winner of all Challenge races starting in the Championships. The Challenge winner must be nominated to the Breeders Cup program by the Championship s pre-entry deadline of October 22,2018 to receive the rewards.
