RUFASA in the final strides. RUFASA, bumped after the start, was hustled out to actear lead, set the pace along the inside, took a clear lead into deep stretch then dug in determinedly but could not hold off the winner. RED VALOR chased the pace along the inside and stayed on well to the finish. UNIQUE UPONEM,rated along early, raced inside and was going well late. SUTTER raced wide and lacked a rally. ALYSWELL was roused on the turn but offered little. DERMATOLOGIST raced wide and had no response when roused. BAG THE DEVIL, bumped after the start, had no response. CLOSING TIME tired after an inside trip. JOE THE DEVIL raced close up while in hand and tired badly. Page 2

3 OK, LET'S GO TO WORK AND RATE THIS RACE WITH TARGET TIME HANDICAPPING AND SEE IF 1 HORSE STANDS OUT FOR A WIN BET OR IF 2 HORSES STAND OUT FOR AN EXACTA. STEP 1) We locate the final time of The Race Itself (The Winner's Time) on the Target Time Speed Level Chart (This is the Rating Chart that comes with the system) and WRITE DOWN THE RATING ON THE LEFT SIDE of the horse's running line. Do This For Each Running Line That Appears in the Past Performance Profile. REMEMBER:. THE LOWER THE FIGURE THE FASTER THE RACE. STEP 2) We now take a look at each running line and see if we can KNOCKDOWN THE TARGET TIME SPEED LEVEL FIGURE EVEN LOWER ACCORDING TO THE FOLLOWING RULES. a) if a horse gained in position from the 1st point of call to the finish- subtract 1 point for each position gained from the Target Time Speed Level, b) if a horse lost in position from the 1st point of call to the finishdo not change the rating of the Target Time Speed Level. Leave it as is. c) if today's race is on the dirt ignore any races on the turf. d) if a horse did not finish the race ignore the figure for that race and just pass it by with no rating. It only takes about a minute to rate all the lines for any one horse. IT'S EASY. List The Knockdown Rating TO THE RIGHT Of The Running Line. STEP 3) NOW MATCH UP THE KNOCKDOWN RATINGS FOR EACH HORSE IN TODAY'S RACE AND SEE WHO COMES UP THE STRONGEST. OK, Let's see why Star Miner and Rufasa finished 1st and 2nd in this race. To make things clear we'll analyze each horse according to its order of finish in the race. WHAT ABOUT TRIFECTA PLAYS??? If we were going to play Trifectas using Target Time the best way to go is to TAKE THE BEST HORSE ON TOP THE SECOND BEST HORSE FOR SECOND AND EVERYTHING FOR THIRD. IN THIS EXAMPLE IT WOULD BE STAR MINER FOR 1ST RUFASA FOR 2ND AND EVERYTHING FOR 3RD. ALSO WE WOULD HAVE TO PLAY STAR MINER FOR 1ST ALYSWELL FOR 2ND AND EVERYTHING FOR THIRD. YOU WILL WIN MUCH MORE OFTEN USING THIS TYPE OF BETTING STRATEGY FOR TRIFECTAS THAN YOU WOULD USING A 3 HORSE BOX. SEEMS THAT THIS GAME IS FIXED IN A WAY THAT MAKES SELECTING Page 5

6 THAT THIRD HORSE SUPER, SUPER DIFFICULT. USE THE BEST 2 WITH ALL. Going into this example race of Both The Winner Star Miner and The Place Horse Rufasa DID WHAT THEIR TARGET TIME KNOCKDOWN RATINGS INDICATED THEY WOULD. Star Miner - Closed Strongly earning a Rating of 10 in his last race on 11-6 at 1 mile (Today's Distance) and before that on 7-1 at 6 furlongs. Rufasa - has speed dueled and pressed the pace several times at some very fast speed levels the fastest being 6-21 level '5-2 level, 4-25 level 13 and 3-28 level. The only other horse who indicated he could run with them today was Alyswell who closed earning ratings of 10 and 12. We did not think Alyswell would beat Star Miner and Rufasa today because the knockdown rating of that 12 was earned against a speed level of 17 and that knockdown rating of 10 left him 68~1 lengths away from the winner. Star Miner earned his 10 against speed levels of 16 and and was only 1 length away from the winner on 11-6 and only 1&1/2 lengths away from the winner on 7-1. Rufasa closed against a speed level of on 6-27 earning a knockdown rating of 9. THEY ARE BOTH FASTER AND STRONGER THAN ALL OTHER HORSES IN THE RACE AND WHEN THE GATE OPENED RUFASA WENT FOR THE LEAD AND SET THE PACE ON THE INSIDE AND STAR MINER WENT 3 WIDE ON THE TURN CLOSED AND WON. ALYSWELL RAN OUT. THE EXACTA OF STAR MINER and RUFASA CAME BACK $7.00. A PIECE OF CAKE FOR THE BOTH OF THEM BECAUSE THE RACE WAS RUN IN A SPEED LEVEL OF 16. NO PROBLEM FOR HORSES WHO HAVE ALREADY KNOCKED DOWN TO 9 and 10 WHILE CLOSING. Page 6
