3 3 Gen er al Ru les an d Regu lat ion s This Competition is recognized by both the USEF and the AVA. USEF/AVA rules apply with USEF rules superseding AVA when there is any conflict. Please review new USEF and AVA rules. Current rule books are posted at and EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULE BOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH. M EM BERSHIPS: All participating vaulters, lungers, and coaches must be AVA members in good standing by the close of entries, June 22, 2018 or pay the AVA non-member fee before beginning competition. All vaulters, lungers, coaches, horse owners, and trainers participating in USEF recognized events (Senior, Junior, A, B, and C teams; Senior, Junior, Gold, Silver, Bronze Individuals; Senior, Junior and Open Pas de Deux) must be USEF members in good standing or pay the $45 USEF Show Pass fee. Vaulters not in compliance with current USEF/AVA requirements will forfeit any awards USEF WAIVER AND RELEASE FORM Page 8: All vaulters, lungers, coaches, horse owners, and trainers must sign on page 8, whether or not that person is participating in a USEF event. RELEASE FORM S: All vaulters, lungers, coaches, horse owners, and trainers must sign the Region II Hold Harmless Agreement. Parents must sign for minors. ENTRY DEADLINE: Online, by no later than June 22, 2018 or Linda Bibbler, lbibbler@ gmail.com. MAILED ENTRIES must be postmarked no later than June 19, 2018 and mailed to Linda Bibbler, 150 Olive Lane, Woodside, CA NO post entries allowed. Payments and releases must be postmarked no later than June 22, Any mail requiring signature will be returned. Call Linda Bibbler before June 22, 2018 if you have a problem. TIM E SCHEDULE: The schedule is tentative. Management reserves the right, without limitation, to alter or change scheduling, including arenas or order of events, in accordance with USEF rules, following receipt of entries. The final detailed order of go will be ed to all entered clubs as soon as possible after close of entries. LOCATION/ FACILITY: The Horse Park at Woodside is located on Sand Hill Road. Take the Sand Hill Road exit west (towards the hills) off 280. Go approx. 1 mile. The entrance will be on the right. After you enter the gate at the Horse Park, there will be signs for trailer parking and directions to the barns. The speed limit is 10 miles an hour inside the Horse Park. This is a large show and boarding facility. Please be considerate of other horses and riders. Remember to park cars and trailers only in designated parking areas. Do not park in the RV parking places as these are for RVs only by prior reservation.

4 4 M EDICAL/ VETERINARY REFUNDS: All requests for refunds must be made on a Request for Refund Form which can be obtained from the Show Office the day of the competition or by contacting Linda Bibbler, lbibbler@gmail.com or All requests for refunds must be accompanied by a note from a doctor or vet and must be received by Linda Bibbler within 14 days after the competition. DRAW: Draw will be done by computer on June 27, 2018 at 150 Olive Hill Lane, Woodside, CA ORDER OF GO: Will be ed to participating clubs and posted on CompWeb by June 28, Please review and conflicts/changes as soon as possible. Changes will be posted on CompWeb. STABLING: Stabling is available on site. Single stalls are approx. 10' x 10'; limited number of double stalls. approx. 10' x 20' are available. Stalls are steel framed with canvas panels and doors. First bedding of 2 bags of shavings per single stall and four bags per double stall is included. Arrival after 10 am on Thursday. Departure by 8 pm on Sunday. Call or Linda Bibbler regarding early arrival or late departure. FOOD: Will be available on site. PETS: All dogs must be on a leash. ARENAS: Competition and warm up will be located in the "Grand Prix Arena". All competition and warm-up arenas exceed 72.5' diameter. Footing in competition and warm up arenas is GGT (German Geo Textile). Additional horse warm-up area available. AWARDS: Ribbons for 1-5 Overall for USEF Team and Pas de Deux Classes. Ribbons 1-5 for each round for USEF Individual Classes and 1-3 Overall. Ribbons 1-5 for each AVA and unrecognized class. Overall 1-3 for AVA Recognized Classes. Classes may be canceled/combined. Additional rib- bons at management discretion. Only vaulters who are members of Region II are eligible to win the Region II Championship award. If a non-region II member wins, the highest placed Region II vaulter will win the Championship. Pas de deux and teams must be comprised of all Region II members in order to win a Championship. Region membership is determined by the vaulter 's club. AWARDS CEREM ONY: There will be short awards ceremonies for all AVA and unrecognized events throughout the competition. Vaulters are requested to be present and in proper attire. FEES FOR DELINQUENT PAPERWORK AND CHANGES: All paperwork and payment for entries must be submitted by close of entries, postmarked, June 22, This includes: release forms, signatures on Page 8, checks, etc. All clubs are required to leave an open check with the office at check-in. Clubs will be assessed as follows: missing/incorrect items up to 5 items (missing or incorrect horse ID numbers, horse names, horse owners, or missing releases) $10 flat. For more than 5 items, the charge will be $5 per item. These fines will be charged for missing or incorrect paperwork received with postmark after June 22, All changes (horse, class, order within go, lunger, coach, etc.) and missing music after July 12, 2018 will incur a $10 fine per change or missing item unless medical note is provided.

5 5 FOOD: Food is available on site. CAM PING: There is no Camping on Site. RV: A limited numer of RV Spaces are available. Reservations must be made through Competition Management. An RV reservation form is attached. All RV spaces must be vacated by 5 PM on Sunday. RVs may be parked only in assigned parking places. FACILITY: All trucks, autos, and other motorized vehicles must be parked in designated areas only. Vehicles must adhere to the maximum speed limit of 10 miles per hour and must stay on the Horse Park roadways at all times. DOGS: All dogs must be on leash. FOOD: Food is available on site. WORKERS: This fest is run by the entire membership of Region II. Each participating vaulter must provide at least TWO shifts (arena shifts cannot be shared or broken up or shared) of work (by an adult preferably). Some people will be solicited to work on specific jobs and others will help fill a daily pool of helpers. The Jobs List will be posted at -->Region II -->click here for jobs by June 26th. Please check the Order of Go before signing up so that you don't conflict with your vaulter 's goes. Select your jobs. Your CLUB will be responsible for providing a specified number of people to help. Unfilled jobs will be assigned to those clubs who still owe jobs. Assigments will be based on entries and schedules. Please assign one person from your club to coordinate your work- ers. Clubs not fulfilling their worker shifts will find themselves assigned to the least popular jobs next year. BARRELS: You are welcome to bring your barrels for practice, but PLEASE be sure that the barrels are safe. They should be firmly set in the ground with plenty of padding all around. Any play or practice on the barrel should be supervised by an adult. Fest Management has the right to ban the use of any barrel from any area of the facility for safety reasons.

6 Region 2 Championships Vaulting Competition is rated: X FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT By entering a Federation-licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent,, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of The United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) and the local rules of this competition.. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation and of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the Rules, and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the Competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cable - casts, broadcasts, internet, film, new media or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. See GR908.4.

ENTRY AGREEMENT I have read the United States Equestrian Federation, Inc. (the Federation ) Entry Agreement (GR906.4) as printed in the Prize List for this Competition and agree to all of its provisions. I understand and agree that by entering this Competition, I am subject to Federation Rules, the Prize List, and local rules of the competition. I agree to waive the right to the use of my photos at the competition, and agree that any actions against the Federation must be brought in New York State. Release, Assumption of Risk, Waiver and Indemnification This document waives important legal rights. Read it carefully before signing. I AGREE in consideration for my participation in this Competition to the following: I AGREE that the Federation and Competition as used above includes all of their officials, officers, directors, employees, agents, personnel, volunteers and affiliated organizations. I have read the Federation Rules about protective equipment, including GR801 and, if applicable, EV114 and I understand that I am entitled to wear protective equipment without penalty, and I acknowledge that the Federation strongly encourages me to do so while WARNING that no protective equipment can guard against all injuries. If I am a parent or guardian of a junior exhibitor, I consent to the child s participation and AGREE to all of the above provisions and AGREE to assume all of the obligations of this Release on the child s behalf.
