Credit cards will not be accepted. **** USEF rule**** GR845 Equine Vaccination Rule 1. At Federation licensed competitions, horses entering the grounds must be accompanied by documentation of Equine Influenza Virus and Equine Herpes Virus (Rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. Horses not in compliance with this rule may be required to leave the competition grounds upon request by Competition Management. Copies of documentation must be submitted with entries. 1. Every class offered herein, which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current US Equestrian Federation Rule Book will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith. 2. The Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show Committee reserves the right to itself of declining to receive any exhibitor and/or horse to show and the right to order from the grounds any exhibitor, horse or groom, without penalty or compensation. 3. ENTRIES must be postmarked by May 24, 2017 to avoid a late penalty. Entries will not be accepted over the telephone. All entry blanks must be properly signed by an adult. All horses will be charged a non-refundable office fee of $25 per horse. All horses or ponies must have either a horse ID number issued from US Equestrian Federation or a breed registration number in order to show. This number must be listed on the entry blank. POST ENTRIES - Entries postmarked after May 24, 2017 will be charged a post entry fee of $20 per horse. This will be in addition to all other normal fees. Horses and/or ponies must be entered in a class or will be considered a post entry. Entries will be accepted up to one hour before the scheduled start of each session. An unsigned open check mailed with entries will be considered as a post entry. Entries without payment will also be considered as a post entry late fees will apply.

8 EMERGENCY ENTRIES - In cases where entries cannot be made at least one hour before the scheduled start of each session, an emergency penalty of $30.00 will be charged for each class in addition to all other fees. 4. STALL FEES are $ per stall. All stalls are permanent with full doors. Stalls will be ready for occupancy on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 8:00 am. Arrangements can be made for earlier arrival through the Manager at an additional fee of $15.00 per day per stall. Stall fees must accompany entry form. EXTRA CHARGES FOR REMOVAL OR ALTERING DOORS. A $25 per horse grounds fee will be charged for all horses showing out of their trailer. 5. INITIAL BEDDING will NOT be provided. Only bag shavings will be available for purchase from the show through the horse show office or the grounds & feed person. Bedding can be ordered by filling out the space provided on the entry blank and your bedding will be at your stalls when you arrive. You can call prior to the week of the show. The week of the show call Feed and hay will be available. Please note on entry blank your arrival date and time. NEITHER BEDDING NOR FEED MAY BE BROUGHT IN BY AN OUTSIDE VENDOR. Neither bark nor sawdust will be allowed to be hauled in from the outside. If an outside vendor hauls in bedding or feed for a client of his, he will be charged a show vendor fee. Persons wanting to bring their own bedding may do so but must haul it in on their own vehicles. 6. HORSE SHOW OFFICE will close one hour prior to the scheduled starting time of each performance for taking entries for that performance. Any scratches after this time will be accepted but entries fees will be retained. An emergency entry fee of $30.00 per class added will be charged in addition to the normal entry fee. 7. REFUNDS of Entry Fees will only be made upon presentation of a certificate of illness issued by a veterinarian on an official letterhead stating illness or lameness. Fees will be refunded minus a $15.00 scratch horse fee, the non-refundable office fee per horse and the post entry fee. Requests for stall refunds after May 29, 2017 will not be honored. EMERGENCY REFUND POLICY in the event all or part of the competition is cancelled due to a storm, accident or other emergency. If the competition is cancelled prior to the scheduled first day of the horse show all fees will be refunded in full minus the non-refundable office fee. Stall fees will not be refunded after May 29, If classes are cancelled once the competition has begun, entry fees for remaining classes will be refunded. 8. THE BLOWING ROCK CHARITY HORSE SHOW will not be held liable for any accident, loss, damage or injury that may occur to any Exhibitor, Owner, Trainer, Agent, Groom, Individual or Spectator sustained while at the Blowing Rock Charity Horse Show. This shall be incorporated as a condition of entry or admittance to the Show. 9. ACCOUNTS: All accounts must be paid at the Horse Show Office before entry numbers will be given out. A signed, open check must be left for each account in the office prior to packets

9 being distributed. An unsigned, open check sent in with entries will be cause to consider entries as post entries. The Horse Show office WILL NOT be open on Monday following the show. Accounts must be settled before the last class of the Sunday afternoon performance. Anyone failing to settle their account will relinquish the right for adjustments. It will be to your advantage to check over your account before filling in your check. 10. FEDERATION ENTRY AGREEMENT: By entering a Federation licensed Competition and signing this entry blank as the Owner, Lessee, Trainer, Manager, Agent, Coach, Driver, Rider, Handler, Vaulter or Longeur and on behalf of myself and my principals, representatives, employees and agents, I agree that I am subject to the Bylaws and Rules of the United States Equestrian Federation, Inc.(the "Federation") and the local rules of the competition. I agree to be bound by the Bylaws and Rules of the Federation of the competition. I will accept as final the decision of the Hearing Committee on any question arising under the Rules, and agree to release and hold harmless the competition, the Federation, their officials, directors and employees for any action taken under the Rules. I represent that I am eligible to enter and/or participate under the rules and every horse I am entering is eligible as entered. I also agree that as a condition of and in consideration of acceptance of entry, the Federation and/or the competition may use or assign photographs, videos, audios, cablecasts, or other likenesses of me and my horse taken during the course of the competition for the promotion, coverage or benefit of the competition, sport, or the Federation. Those likenesses shall not be used to advertise a product and they may not be used in such a way as to jeopardize amateur status. I hereby expressly and irrevocably waive and release any rights in connection with such use, including any claim to compensation, invasion of privacy, right of publicity, or to misappropriation. The construction and application of Federation rules are governed by the laws of the State of New York, and any action instituted against the Federation must be filed in New York State. 11. VAN AND TRAILER PARKING WILL BE OFF-SITE. Get map and site location of trailers and vans at horse show office. Motor Homes or Campers will be Charged $40.00 per day. 12. NORTH CAROLINA requires a negative "Coggins" Certificate, within 12 months of entering into or leaving State. ALL HORSES MUST HAVE CURRENT COGGINS TEST. A COPY MUST BE KEPT WITH HORSE. A copy must also be sent with entries and left on file in the horse show office. 13. THREE ENTRIES are required to fill a class. Fewer than three may be cause for cancellation or combining the class, at the option of the management. 14. USEF FEE & DRUG FEE/NON-MEMBER SHOW PASS FEE: USEF Federation fee $16.00 ($8.00 Drug & Medication, $8.00 USEF). A non-member may compete by paying a $30.00 non member show pass fee. All non-members must furnish the show secretary with a mailing address. Amateurs may not show as non members, they must apply for membership with amateur certification.

10 15. REGISTRATION PAPERS; A photostat copy of Registration Papers showing current ownership must accompany each horse and/or pony entered in the American Saddlebred Division, the Hackney and Hackney Harness Pony division. WE MUST KEEP A COPY ON FILE IN THE SHOW OFFICE AND THESE COPIES WILL NOT BE RETURNED. Numbers will not be released for an entry in these divisions without the proper proof of registration. Names of horses/ponies must be on the Entry Form. The word "Entry" may not be used. All horses/ponies must be entered in their full registered name and number and in the current owner of record. 16. PRIZE MONEY will be mailed within 30 days after the close of show. Prize money will be credited to the agents account. Persons wishing to receive their own prize money must send in separate entry blank with current agent information listed including social security number. 17. RETURNED CHECKS will be charged a $50.00 return check fee. 18. QUESTIONS not covered by the Rules of the US Equestrian Federation shall be decided by the management of the show. 19. FOOTING in the Show Ring is a dirt base with a mix of mixed sand. Size of ring is 120 x 240'. Two warm-up rings are provided. Size of these are 120' x 238' and the 2nd is 110'x 220'. The warm-up rings have excellent footing and each has a similar base as the main show ring. 20. SAFETY: Minors who do not have a valid driver's license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles on the competition grounds of recognized competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver's license. The parents(s), legal guardian(s), or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for sanctions against the parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) who are responsible for the child committing the offense. Penalties may include exclusion of the child, parent(s), guardian(s), and/or trainer(s) from the competition grounds for the remainder of the competition and charges being filed against any of the above individuals in accordance with Chapter 6. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. 21. STRIPPING: ONLY the ASB Three and Five Gaited Championships will be stripped. 22. US EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION MEMBERSHIP STATEMENT Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Preliminary Level or above and

11 Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a $30 Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the requirements of this rule; 1)leadline; 2)exhibitions; 3)games and races; 4)classes for 4-H members; 5)walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6)USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7)NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes. 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation; 10)USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.
