1 Rules and Regulations 1. Upper Batley Riding Club hold no responsibility for loss or damage to persons, animals or property whilst on the show ground. 2. The Judges are guests to the show and should be respected. 3. Complaints must be lodged within one hour of the class in question and must me accompanied by a fee of Correct attire must be worn at all times and BSI Hats must be worn at all times whilst mounted or in hand. 5. No galloping horses anywhere on the showground. 6. Upper Batley Riding Club reserves the right to cancel or amalgamate classes where necessary. 7. All stallions / colts must be handled by a responsible adult. 8. Any equines deemed not sound or unfit to compete will be asked to leave the ring. 9. Please be aware riders may be asked to ride without stirrups in equitation classes. 10. Snaffle bridles must be working in classes 18, 19, 20, 22 & No refunds available in any class. 12. Any equines shown ridden must have reached their 4 th birthday. 13. By entering a class you agree to adhere to the rules and regulations. Please note all competitors should acquaint themselves with the rules of the VHS. They can be found at Only veteran horse showing members are eligible to compete in the regional championship. Area show qualification cards will only be given to the 3 highest placed members with their VHS membership/horse registration cards or covering letter from the show office. The regional winners will go on to compete at the Veteran Horse Showing Ltd Championships Supreme Final at London International horse show at Olympia in December. 4 NEW TO UPPER BATLEY RIDING CLUB FOR 2012 Wednesday Evening Showjumping 6pm Start Starting 2 nd May 2012 For 18 Weeks Clear Round Classes: : CLEAR ROUND. Jumps around 50cm but can adjust them to help any novices. 2: NOVICE Horse/Ponies Max height 60cm in first round. Timed Jump Off over higher fences. 3: INTERMEDIATE Horse/Ponies - Max height 70cm. Timed Jump Off over higher fences. 4: OPEN Horse/Ponies - Max Height 80cm. Timed Jump Off over higher fences. 5: FUN CLASSES Maybe Chase Me Charlie or Pairs. These classes are qualifiers for the TGCA National Championship Show to be held on the 22 nd September 2012 at The College Equestrian Center, Keysoe, Bedfordshire. TGCA Classes (In Had or Ridden) are open to anyone, but in order to qualify for the TGCA National Championships, all exhibits and exhibitors must be registered and fully paid up either prior to, or within 21 days of the show date for that qualification to be valid. Registered members must have there qualification cards present in the ring for the judge to sign for the qualification to be valid. All stallions and colts must be bitted when in the ring. Stallions 4 years and over must be licensed prior to the show with the TGCA for their qualification to be valid for the TGCA National Championship Show. Competitors must display their TGCA stallion disc on their exhibit s bridle when competing. Foals born in the current year are not permitted to be shown in the TGCA classes. These classes are open to both coloreds and solids with a Best Solid rosette being awarded to the highest placed solid in each class and that exhibit qualifying. Ridden Classes Exhibits must be 4 years and over to comply with the above. Rosettes to 4 th Place

Exceeding 14hh In Hand 21a: Open Ridden Small - Age 4 years and over. Open to mares, stallions and geldings. Not exceeding 14hh 21b: Open Ridden Large - age 4 years and over. Open to mares, stallions and geldings. Exceeding 14hh 21c: Open Novice Small - Age 4 years and over. Open to mares, stallions and geldings. Not exceeding 14hh. Not to have been placed 1 st or 2 nd in any ridden showing class. 21d: Open Novice Large - Age 4 years and over. Open to mares, stallions and geldings. Exceeding 14hh.
