Before the registration deadline, (1) print out and complete the registration form found at highland.edu/lifelong, enclose your personal check for payment and mail to: Highland Community College, c/o Admission, 2998 W. Pearl City Rd., Freeport, IL or (2) fax the registration form to and admissions staff will call you to process your payment via credit card over the phone, or (3) register by visiting the Admissions Office on the second floor of the Student/Conference Center on the Highland campus and make payment in person. 3 Human to Horse Body Language, Course ID #3968, Registration Deadline Sept. 4 This class is for the person who wants to understand how the horse perceives and responds to our body posture and tension. Learn how use your energy, posture and body position to help your relationship and training of the horse. Sept. 11; Fri.; 11 am-2 pm, On Eagles Wings Equine Center Syncronized Riding, Course ID #3969, Registration Deadline Sept. 17 In-depth break down of riding position and how changes in rider s position changes the movement of the horse. Learn easy self fixes for the rider to become totally balanced and centered on the horse. A great class for anyone wanting to upgrade their lesson program or develop one. Helmets are available. Riding not required. Riders must wear boots or shoes with heels and SEI approved riding helmets. Linda Tellington Jones Equine Awareness Method (TTEAM). Learn techniques to handle the most difficult horses safely. These techniques can be used to train any horse to focus on the handler and be calmer. 5 Lifelong Learning at Highland Community College Beginning this fall, Highland Community College is reinvigorating its Community Education program under the new name, Lifelong Learning. The goal of the new program is to offer both credit and non-credit courses throughout Highland s fourcounty district, delivering learning opportunities that range from personal and professional enrichment, to certification preparation, to youth activities. The vision of HCC s Lifelong Learning is to serve all populations including business professionals, community members, seniors, and the region s young people.
