Treasure News Page 3 Community Service October Needs List Spaghetti Sauce Instant Potatoes Canned Meat - Chicken, Spam, Salmon Muffin Mix Dish Soap Razors Deodorant Toothpaste Tooth Brushes Thanks for helping our neighbors in need! President: Cody Reese Vice President: Roger Eaton Secretary: 2015 Rachel Hayworth Treasurer: Terry Humphries Parliamentarian: John Freeman Sr. Board: Tim Adams John Hayworth John Hamilton Jim Nobles Bill Watkins BA Neighbors Community Service Update ITTHC has chosen to assist the Broken Arrow Neighbors Association (BAN) as the focus of our Club s on-going community service project. BAN is a nonprofit organization and is celebrating its 32st year of serving our local community. A big thank you to all those club members who recently donated to the Back to School Project. If you didn t get a chance to donate to this worth cause, we would welcome your contributions anytime as school supplies are always needed throughout the entire year. As the season roll on, we are now focused on our second main project of the year which is our Christmas Collection. Since the holiday season will be arriving soon, it s time to start thinking of how we can help others who are less fortunate in our community. This year like last year, we are asking club members to donate canned goods and/ or make money contributions to this effort. Any money collected will be matched by ITTHC and will be given to BAN to help with their Christmas Basket Distribution. We will have a BAN Christmas Collection Can for this purpose at our upcoming Fall Club Member Hunt as well as at our regular October, November & December club meetings. As a reminder, all money collected will be matched by the ITTHC so your monetary contributions will result in Double the Money for Broken Arrow Neighbors. Thank you for helping with this very worthy cause and Happy Hunting to you all! Chairman: Jean Dick and Marge Wierzchowski Time to help BAN with your donations. Remember To bring your donations to our October or November Meetings.

After clicking on the Amazon Associate link at the ITTHC Homepage you can then search for the item you are wanting to purchase. 7 7 I.T.T.H.C. Treasure News Page 7 Heyburn Park Outing September 19 th No rain, bright sunshine breaking out about meal time, high temperature 76, and cooling water, the club outing to Heyburn Park on Lake Heyburn on Saturday, September 19 th was a another good one. The club supplied hamburgers, hot links, hot dogs, buns, condiments, & chips. Roger Eaton again handled the job of cooking. Good job Roger, Thank You! Thanks again to John Freeman for picking up and hauling the food, supplies, extra scoops, and the one old guy. And Thanks again to John Hamilton for bringing, and taking & storing the grill & tables. There were 31 members standing in line to chow down on burgers, dogs, and food brought by club members. Thanks to all those bringing the side dishes and desserts. If you went away hungry at this outing, again it was your own fault. After the big feed there were scattered as evenly as possible 191 tokens in a 40 yards x 70 yards designated area. There were 14 tokens for member donated prizes, and 160 tokens for Mercury Dimes, 12 tokens for Silver Quarters, & 5 tokens for Silver Halves. The tokens were painted 4 color Wheat Cents, numbered Jefferson Nickels, two types of painted numbered brass slugs, & painted/numbered/ lettered Gallagher Carbine Civil War Bullets molded using Civil War lead from fired bullets and molded in a Gallagher bullet mold that was found at Battle of Jenkins Ferry Arkansas. When the start signal was given there were 21 water hunters frothing the water. After 1 hour+ of hunting ALL of the tokens were found. End of season, several months of experience gained, less junk, and an area that was a little easier to recover your targest = NO TOKENS LEFT BEHIND! Member donated prizes: Larry Light donated by Jean & Wally Dick won by Chuck Marcum. $5.00 donated by Roger Eaton won by JJ Freeman. Book, Treasure Atlas donated by Ken Fanning won by Cody Reese. $5.00 donated by JJ Freeman won by John Freeman. Box of Chocolates & Lottery Ticket donated by Jody Hamilton won by Greg Wicks. Watertite Case & $5.00 in Quarters donated by John Hamilton won by Greg Wicks. $5.00 donated by John & Rachel Hayworth won by Bob Avey. $5.00 donated Ernie & Rosemary Hill won by JJ Freeman. Set of 3 Mercury Silver Dimes donated by Greg Wicks won by Ken Fanning. 16 pack AA Batteries donated by Greg Wicks won by Ken Fanning. Some of the higher totals found were: Bill Rouse 20 Mercury Dimes & 1 Silver Quarter. Ernie Hill 14 Mercury Dimes & 2 Silver Quarters. Wally Dick 11 Mercury Dimes, 2 Silver Quarters, & 1 prize token. JJ Freeman 10 Mercury Dimes, 1 Silver Quarter, & 2 prize tokens. Ken Fanning 8 Mercury Dimes, 1 Silver Quarter, 1 Silver Half, & 2 prize tokens. John Hamilton 11 Mercury Dimes & 1 Silver Half. James Marcum 9 Mercury Dimes, 1 Silver Quarter, & 1 Silver Half. Chuck Marcum 9 Mercury Dimes & 2 prize tokens. Greg Wicks 8 Mercury Dimes, 1 Silver Quarter, & 2 prize tokens. John Hayworth 7 Mercury Dimes, 1 Silver Quarter, & 2 prize tokens. Jean Dick 9 Mercury Dimes. David Morris 9 Mercury Dimes. Cody Reese 8 Mercury Dimes & 1 prize token.

8 8 I.T.T.H.C. Treasure News Page 8 The winner of $17.00 in the Raffle was Rachel Hayworth. Thanks to Jean & Wally Dick for running the 50/50 raffle. Again, one of the main reasons for this type of outing, besides the food of course, is to give non-water hunting members a chance to try their hand at it. Also, the fun and fellowship of being with people that enjoy the same hobby. Again, if you missed this outing, you missed a good one. Don t miss the next one!

10 10 I.T.T.H.C. Treasure News Page 10 Kelly B. Todd Sept 12,2015 Gary Young reports that this was the 10th year for doing this hunt. The weather was super and with lots of kids. We had a good turnout from all three clubs. There were several metal detectors and some were even dropped off for us to use. Overall, this years hunt was a BIG success as have been the ones in the past. What was really fun for the kids were the old rings donated by Gary & Wanda Carnes. Gary Young mentioned that the kids had a great time as did the adults that were there to help. Gary and Cathy want to thank all of you that came out and helped and as always if you could not come you missed the fun but can do so next year. SO, MARK SEPTEMBER 10TH 2016 ON YOUR CALENDARS FOR NEXT YEARS KELLY B. TODD HUNT
