The club is a member of the Federation of Metal Detector and Archeological Clubs Inc. It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of metal detecting as a hobby. No brand or model of metal detector is endorsed by the club. Membership is open to the public with the only requirement being that all members follow the Treasure Hunters Code of Ethics. Club dues are $25.00 per family yearly. Any comments or stories that you would like to contribute to your newsletter are always welcome. MEETINGS: First FRIDAY of each month. Big thanks to Francis Tracy who has volunteered to Chairman the Three Forks Summer Night Hunt And to who will take over the Randall s Four Room Frenzy Hunt. 3 THREE FORKS SUMMER CLUB HUNT JULY 24th AT THE COFFEY S BLUEBERRY FARM NEAR OKAY. The Night Hunt Entry Fee is $10.00 until July 15th. There is also a mandatory Prize Donation worth at least $5.00. Children 12 and under can hunt both hunts for half price and waive the donation. Randall s Four Room Frenzy Hunt Entry Fee is $6.00 by July 15th. This is a new hunt that Randall has created. It consists of a central hunt room and four rooms of your choice to hunt from, what you find depends on if you choose your room wisely. You can pay in Silver up until the time of the Hunts. Silver prices are $3.20 face which is $5.00 Silver for both hunts plus the $5.00 Prize Donation. The Club will be providing hamburgers and hot dogs. Everyone else will need to bring side dishes, salads, and deserts. There will be a signup sheet at the meeting. 4 In Memory of Randall Vogt Club member Randall Vogt died on June 2nd from Septicemia (a blood poison). His wife Theresa took him to the hospital on our meeting night and he died the next morning. His funeral was the following Friday. Theresa sent a thank you card to the club for sending flowers. Randall has been a Board Member for the last two years and he also has chaired and created his Golden Road Hunt for our Fall and Summer Club Hunts. The Board has voted to continue Randall s hunts in his memory. Randall will not be forgotten. I m Free Don t grieve for me, for now I m free; I m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call, I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work, or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way; I found that place at the close of day. If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss; Ah yes, these things, I too, will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow; I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life s been full, I savored much; Good friends, good times, a loved one s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief; Don t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me; God wanted me now, He set me free.
