Thursday, April 25, 2019 At the home of Heather Levy, Field Trial Secretary 39 Birchwood Terrace, Dartmouth, NS, B3A 3W4 Phone: (902) Entry forms and fees must be received by the Field Trial Secretary prior to the Closing Date. The club will be unable to accept, cancel or alter any entry after the closing date. Cheques dated after the closing date will not be accepted. Please make cheque or money order PAYABLE TO SCOTIA SPRINGER CLUB. Credit card and Interac entries are available at 5% service charge applies. Listing Fee: A listing fee as established by the Canadian Kennel Club must accompany the entry of a dog for which a Canadian Kennel Club individual registration number or Event Registration Number (ERN) is not shown on the entry form. The current listing fee is $11.50CDN per trial (i.e. per dog per day). Event Registration Number: All dogs that are foreign born and foreign owned require an event registration number (ERN) to enable them to be awarded titles by the CKC. Dogs may be entered as listed ; however, an ERN must be obtained within 30 days of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation. Application forms may be obtained from the Field Trial Secretary.

2 Non Member Participation Fee for Canadian Dog Owners who are NOT already members of CKC: If your dog places and thus earns points, CKC will require you to either join CKC for $54.00 or pay a non-member participation fee of $ CKC will notify you after the trial and allow you 30 days to pay or forfeit the points. This new fee applies to the owner (not the dog). You can run as many dogs as you want, and if none of them places, you don t have to pay. But every year that one of your dogs places you have to pay the fee. The fee applies only to dogs wholly owned by nonmembers and is not applicable to CKC members. CKC Sporting Spaniel Field Trial Rules and Regulations, Limit Stake: A Limit Stake at a Spaniel Field Trial shall be for dogs at least 6 months of age on the day of the trial and have not placed in an All-Age Stake, or received 2 first placements in any Regular Official Stake (Puppy Stake excepted), at an approved trial in Canada or any equivalent Spaniel trial in any other country. CKC Sporting Spaniel Field Trial Rules and Regulations, Open All-Age Stake: An Open All-Age Stake at a Spaniel Field Trial shall be for dogs at least six months of age on the day of the trial at which the stake is judged. CKC Sporting Spaniel Field Trial Rules and Regulations, Amateur All-Age Stake: An Amateur All-Age Stake at a Spaniel Field Trial shall be for dogs at least 6 months of age, on the day of the trial at which the stake is being judged. A person shall be considered an amateur if he has not attempted to receive any part of his livelihood from the training, handling or showing of field trial or hunting dogs in the calendar year of the trial or the preceding calendar year. Dogs running an Amateur Stake must be owned by an amateur and handled by an amateur. CKC Sporting Spaniel Field Trial Rules and Regulations, Points: Championship Points are awarded for placements in the All- Age Stake, provided that there are 12 or more starters: 1 st place - 5 points 2 nd Place - 3 points 3 rd Place - 2 points 4 th Place - 1 point Indignities: It shall be the duty and obligation of the trial-giving club to see that a judge, club official, field trial marshal, volunteer, or competitor at a field trial held under these regulations, is not subject to indignities of any kind. The Field Trial Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. A copy of this regulation shall be prominently placed in every premium list and catalogue. Take Exit 14A onto the Onslow Road going east. Turn left on Rte #311, go to Earltown and turn right on Rte #326. Follow Rte #326 to Rte #6, turn right and continue past Amet View Chalets to River John. Option2: FromAmherst Take Hwy 104 south to exit 7. At exit 7 take Hwy 4 east for about 33 km through Wentworth Centre. Turn left on Rte # 246 and follow it all the way to Tatamagouche. (about 25 km) Turn right on #6 and continue past Amet View Chalets to River John (about 20 km). CAPE JOHN ROAD SITE - At River John continue across the bridge over River John. At Yap s Restaurant turn left on Cape John Road. The trial site is #592 and #614. BRULE SHORE SITE: From River John follow Rte #6 west (back towards Tatamagouche). Turn right on Brule Point Road and then left on Brule Shore Road. The trial site is on the left. If you need more detailed maps and driving directions, including driving times try the following sites: Park only as directed Do not litter Bring water for your dogs to the trial site Pop, juice & bottled water will be available BLAZE ORANGE: ALL PERSONS ON TRIAL GROUNDS ARE REQUIRED TO WEAR A BLAZE ORANGE HAT AND EITHER A VEST OR JACKET FOR THE SAKE OF SAFETY.
