5 April 2015 Volume 2, Issue 4 Dojo Bucks! Dojo Bucks, which can be used toward any purchase at the school store, may be earned in a variety of ways. One of the easiest ways, if you are enjoying your training, is to write (or have an adult post) a review of our Dojo (school) on Facebook and/or Google. This is a great way to help inform others of the wonderful benefits of the martial arts, and help us to help others learn to protect themselves and all of the other wonderful life skills that the arts have to offer. Referring friends to the school is another great way to earn Dojo Bucks. For more ideas, see the chart on the display case in the school store. Nerf Night! Our next movie night will be held on Saturday, April 18, from 5-9 p.m. We will be watching a martial arts movie, enjoying delicious Maria s pizza, AND playing NerfTM tag! Students are welcome to bring their own NerfTM shooters, although we have plenty, and students are encouraged to bring some sort of protective eyewear (sunglasses are fine). We will be providing protective eyewear for those that need it, but it helps if students bring their own. This event is free for Black Belt Club members and $25 for others! To sign up for the Nerf Night or the Black Belt Club, see Mrs. Marta at the front desk. Belt Promotion Procedures Please remember that in order to advance to your next belt, bar or star, you must return the Intent to Promote form prior to the testing day. We also ask all students to register on the website before the belt ceremony, so that we may have everything prepared (belts, boards, certificates, etc.). Thank you! 5
