2 Competition This ITF Taekwon-Do urnament, the Open Dutch, is organized by Difesa Sports with the head of organization Master Willy van de Mortel. The Open Dutch is under the umbrella of the Master Series and ITF-Netherlands. Head umpire is Master Coos van de Heuvel and we use the electronic Sportdata system. The competition is open for all divisions (youth, juniors and seniors (A, B, C and D-class) in the categories sparring, patterns and for the A-class junior & senior there is also power-breaking and overall sparring. An overall award will be given the competing gym with the best ranked competirs. 3 When competirs are over their registered height or weight on the day of the competition he or she can t compete in that part of the urnament! 4 Competition power-breaking Power-breaking will only be for black belts junior and senior. The format at Open Dutch 208 will be slightly different then the official international format. When registering for competition one must specify how many boards you will expect break for each technique. There are 5 mandary techniques for male competirs and 3 mandary techniques for female competirs as describes in the competitions rules. The winner is the person who has the highest number of points. When there s a draw each competir can select technique and change the number of boards change his score, or use the same number of boards and try successfully break it in the case of an unsuccessful attempt. A time slot for powerbreaking will be determined before the event. A competir must compete during this time slot, missing the time slot means you are disqualified for the category. Team-event There will not be a team sparring urnament this year, we will hoever have a team event. At the Open Dutch 208 two teams existing of both male and female international p athletes will compete against each other. The invite for this event will happen on a personal basis, however if you feel you should be part of the team do not hesitate reach out Master Willy van de Mortel wvdmortel6@gmail.com as he will personally extend the invites. Umpires Must wear License Navy blue/black pants, white shirt, blue/black tie, white shoes. Umpires are obliged show their umpire license on the day of competition. Every club/team must bring umpires. If no umpire is provided there will be a fine of 75,- for every missing umpire. The head umpire will decide on the validity of the protest. Safety equipment Head protecrs are mandary for EVERYBODY Shin protecrs are allowed (soft material only) Open hand & feet protection. (no boxing gloves allowed) When in doubt on the day of competition the head umpire will decide whether certain protecrs are allowed or not. Mouth protection are mandary for all competirs. Groin protection are mandary for all male competirs. In case of a doubt the head umpire will make a decision. Subscribing this competition means that you agree this rule. We highly recommend competirs bring their identification papers the urnament in case of injury. Dutch hospitals will ask for these papers.

6 Press and promotion material Promotion material (e.g. banners, flags) is strictly reserved for the organization. Other promotional material is not allowed. Filming is only allowed from the stands. Coaches and staff of the Open Dutch are allowed for phographing in the competition area. Phographing by competirs is only allowed behind the fences. All official phographs can be found after the urnament at and on our facebook page. Draw The draw will published before the urnament on the website of the Open Dutch ( ). For that reason, it will not be possible make any changes on the day of competition. Coaches please validate that your students have provided the correct height and/or weight, so that they don t get disappointed on the day of the urnament!

7 Registration and important dates For registration, we use an online system. In order register, access needs be requested on the website itself https// please note that it takes day provide access, so request this timely. Participation in a Master Series Tournament for non ITF schools, teams or participants (GM Trajtenberg / ITF Benidorm) are on an invite only basis. The organization reserves the right refuse teams, schools or participants who are not a member. After this date inscription fee has be paid. Errors made in the registration which lead a change in the division of a competir can t be changed as the draw is place online and final.
