2 President s Post Dan K. As I am writing this the weather has been wonderfully sunny and warm. This made our outing to Legends very comfortable. We had 5 cars for their festival. Glen Murphy, Ed Bazor, Richard Bailey, Casey Cawthon, and myself. We still need to get to Briarcliff but I still need to set a date. For those that didn't attend the tour to the TAMU-C planetarium arranged by David Gish you missed a fun outing. My only problem with tour was the scheduling, we went to lunch then to the presentation and I had to fight with my desire to nap after lunch. I know I lost to the temptation several times but I don't think I snored. We have a number of activities for November: The 2018 Wesley Street Cruisers Car Show are holding their show in Greenville on Lee street on November 3, 2018, Staging 10:30-11:45, Show from Noon to 5PM, Judging from 3:30 and Trophies at 4:00. The Hunt County Veterans Day Parade is scheduled on the morning of Nov. 3 in downtown Greenville. The lineup is at the Farmer s Market at 9 a.m., with the parade starting at 10 a.m. and proceeding west on Lee Street to the Landmark building where all veterans are invited in for coffee, tea, water and socializing until a free lunch is ready. Hopkins County is having a Veterans Day Parade on Nov 10, 2018 with line up at 7:30AM parade starting at 9:00 AM thru 12:00 PM. The parade will start at Buford Park go though the downtown square then back to the park. They are honoring all veterans and celebrating the 243rd birthday of our Marine Corps. Emory is also holding their Veterans Day Parade on Nov 10th with lineup at 11AM and kickoff at noon. Also, I would like to repeat my request that we begin paying our next year's club and AACA dues in Oct, Nov and Dec, so that we aren't scrambling around at the last minute to get our members signed up. We passed a resolution at our last meeting but I feel the need to repeat my request. Our share of Pate income is based on the number of club members so to maximize our membership numbers we need all members paid by January. This is it for this month, ya'll be safe, protect your health, and I hope to see you at the next meeting, November 25th. Also, remember there is no Club Night Out in Nov and it will not start again until Apr 2nd next year. Dan K.
