This is the 3 rd and final Bulletin for the British Extravaganza at Buttonwillow Raceway Park on May 6, This Bulletin includes details and specifics for this event along with a practice schedule, weekend event schedule, track map, entry form, membership form and V8RRW 2017 Schedule. HOST HOTEL Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bakersfield Airport Quinn Road Bakersfield, CA V8RRW has secured special room rates for you at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bakersfield Airport. Single King Bed rooms are $92.00 plus tax and Double Queen rooms are $96.00 plus tax. The facility is new, less than a year old and is a short 25 minute drive from the track. 2 GATE HOURS, CAMPING & MOVE IN The Main Gate will be open 24 hours from 7:00 AM Thursday, May 4 th until Sunday, May 7 th at 6:00 PM. You can move in starting Thursday morning. Camping is allowed in the Paddock on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. All teams must be moved out by 6:00 PM on Sunday the 7 th. GATE ADMISSION BRP charges $10.00 for Gate Admission. RACE FUEL, TRACK SERVICES & SUPPLIES Unleaded 91 and 101 and Leaded 110 VP Race Fuel is available on site at the Fuel Center. It is adjacent to the Tire Center in the middle of the paddock. The Buttonwillow Raceway Park Tire Center is conveniently located in the middle of the paddock. They have Nitrogen service along with state of the art tire machines and computerized balancers. Ice in 20 lb. bags can be purchased at the Tire Center for $8.00. The Buttonwillow Raceway Tower Café is located in the first floor of the Control Tower. Breakfast is served from 7:00 AM to 10:30 AM. The Café is open the rest of the day while there is activity on the track. They will announce closing 1 hour before via the PA system. The BRP Gift Shop stocks track merchandise and apparel as well as a variety of safety equipment, batteries, sunscreen, etc. It is located next to the Café. V8RRW TIRE ORDERS If you preordered tires from V8RRW, we will bring them to the track. You can pick them up on Friday, May 5 th at our trailer which will be located near the Bryans Racing and Ron Esau Racing trailers. If you need tires, we will be brining 2 extra sets that are available for purchase. PRACTICE An All Day Practice Event administered by BRP is on Friday, May 5 th from 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM. V8RRW racers run in Group 2, see attached schedule. Contact BRP for pricing information. CINCO DE MAYO FIESTA Please join our fellow VARA and V8 Road Racing Westers in Garage 5 after the track goes cold on Friday, May 5 th at 5:00 PM. Swap your helmet for a sombrero and enjoy a festive atmosphere with chips, salsa, guacamole, cold beverages, and some tequila. REGISTRATION V8RRW Registration is located in Garage #5. ALL V8RRW racers must go to Registration. It will be open on Friday, May 5 th from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM. Please complete your registration as soon as possible to avoid wait times. Registration must be completed prior to Technical Inspection. Page 2 of 12

3 DECALS All V8RRW racecars must have a V8RRW decal on each side of their vehicle as well as a Class designator at the top left of the Driver s Side number and Left Side of the Rear Bumper. Decals are available at Registration. TRANSPONDERS If you are using your own Transponder, please confirm its number with us at Registration. If you need to rent a Transponder, they are available to rent at Registration for $20 a day. OPTIONAL RACE w/ VARA ON SUNDAY, May 7 TH For an additional $75.00, VARA has made a very generous offer for V8RRW Racers that would like to race on Sunday, May 7th. V8RRW Racers will run in Group 5 with the other Big Bore cars. Please see Michael Cohen to make arrangements. Thank you VARA for the 60+% Savings! TECHNICAL INSPECTION Technical Inspection is located in between the Garages and the Control Tower. In addition to your Race Car, please bring ALL Safety Gear including Helmet, Gloves, Shoes, Head & Neck Restraint for the Technical Inspectors. Technical Inspection is open on Friday, May 5 th from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM. And reopens Saturday the 6 th at 7:00 AM. It is suggested to complete Technical Inspection as soon as possible to avoid wait times. MANDATORY DRIVERS MEETING On Saturday, May 6 th, at 8:00 AM, there is a MANDATORY V8RRW Drivers Meeting for ALL V8RRW entrants ON THE Café Patio. If you are racing on Sunday in the VARA Group 5 Big Bore event, you MUST ALSO attend the earlier VARA Driver s Meeting at 7:30 AM. RACEDAY GROUP Please note that V8RRW racers are in Group 3 on Saturday s race day. PRACTICE SESSION We have a 20 minutes Practice Session on Saturday, May 6 th at 9:00 AM GRID SESSION LINE UP Please get to Grid ready to take the track at least 10 minutes before your time slot. Pre-Grid is located on the East side of the Tower on the North side of the Hot Pit Wall. Grid Positions for Practice and Qualifying Sessions will be first come first served. Grid positions for Main Event will be determined by fastest time from Qualifying Session. LIVE TIMING Live Timing will be available on Saturday and Sunday via the Race Hero App. It is available for free download at for Android, IPhone, and Computer applications. Session Time Sheets will also be available 15 minutes after your session outside of Timing & Scoring. Page 3 of 12

4 QUALIFYING We will run a 25 minute Qualifying Session at 11:15 AM on Saturday, May 6 th. Your fastest time of the session will determine your starting position. Please be aware of other Drivers who are qualifying. We must all work together so that everyone has a chance for some clean qualifying laps. MAIN EVENT Our Main Event will be at 2:10 PM on Saturday, May 6 th. We are the first event after the Lunch Break so let s put on a great and clean race for everyone to enjoy. The Main Event is 30 minutes or 20 laps whichever comes first. We will have Podium Presentations for each class at the end of the race in front of the Café on the Patio. We encourage all racers, team members, photographers, and fans to attend. SATURDAY NIGHT BBQ Included with the V8RRW entry is one (1) ticket to the catered Saturday BBQ.
