South Buxton Raceway draws approximately 1,500 fans on Saturday nights from May through September, the highest average attendance for any sporting venue in the municipality. On special nights, such as visits by sprint cars, attendance increases to the 2,000-2,500 range. And at the Castrol Late Model Shootout/Advantage Warehouse Modified Fall Blowout on Sept. 27, more than 4,500 spectators packed the grandstands, the largest crowd in the 37-year history of the track. In this booklet, you will find our various high-profile sponsorship opportunities, such as Official Night Sponsor, Special Night Sponsor, Co-Sponsor and Division Sponsor. All of these packages contain additional benefits including advertising in local and online media outlets, providing your business with valuable promotional exposure. You will also find a page outlining our Sign Advertising packages, where businesses can promote their services for the entire 2009 season on a grandstand or track advertising sign. 4 Event Sponsorship Special Race Nights South Buxton Raceway is increasing the number of Special Race Nights in the 2009 season, due to the overwhelming response from fans and race teams at our Castrol UMP Late Model Shootout/ Advantage Warehouse Modified Blowout. Special Race Nights include Sprint Car dates as well as additional Late Model and Modified shows (excluding the Shootout). Sponsorship of a Special Race Night will be very beneficial to businesses with name association to the event. Your name will not only appear in all track and local media promotions, but also across Canada and the United States on the many web sites which provide coverage for South Buxton Raceway. Here are some other benefits to your company by becoming a Special Race Night sponsor. 1. Exclusive use of our VIP Tower for the night, including 10 grandstand admission passes. Additional adult tickets can be purchased at a discount price. 2. Participate in the Victory Lane celebration, including pictures with the winning drivers, trophy presentations, introduction and an interview with the track announcer to recognize your valuable contribution to the night s program as the Official Special Race Sponsor. 3. 6 Sponsorship Opportunities Division Sponsorship Are you interested in having your business sponsoring one of South Buxton Raceway s divisions for the 2009 season? As a Division Sponsor, your business will be listed in all references to the class in announcements at the track, on South Buxton Raceway s website, in press releases to local print and air media plus the numerous websites across Canada and the United States that cover our racing action. Your business logo will appear on the 2009 pocket schedules, in track advertising and you will have a link on our website. A Division Sponsorship also includes a business sign to be displayed at the track (size and location of your choice, sign to be supplied by your company). You will receive four (4) passes to both the Mid -Season Championship and Season Championship nights. You will be invited to participate in the trophy presentations in Victory Circle for your division on both championship nights, where you will be photographed with the winning drivers and be interviewed by the track announcer. 9 Event Sponsorship 2009 Shootout Here is an opportunity to market your business in front of Southwestern Ontario s largest dirt stock car racing crowd of the season. In 2008, more than 4,500 spectators from across Ontario and the U.S. packed the grandstands at South Buxton Raceway to watch the fourth annual Castrol Canadian UMP Late Model Shootout and the first Advantage Warehouse UMP Modified Canadian Fall Blowout. A total of 68 races teams competed for a record purse of $35,000 (US), in front of the largest crowd in track history. Chris Ross of Wallaceburg became the first Canadian to win the Castrol Canadian UMP Late Model Shootout while Brian Ruhlman, of Clarklake, Mich., took the checkered flag in the Advantage Warehouse UMP Modified Canadian Fall Blowout. 10 Sponsorship Opportunities Kids Night Our Kids Night promotions are extremely popular for fans and drivers alike at South Buxton Raceway, as fans of all ages enjoy the opportunity of going on the track during intermission to meet the drivers, get autographs and see the cars up close. Our young fans receive gifts from South Buxton Raceway as they enter the track. Many of the drivers also bring special gifts to give the kids. Your company can participate in one or all of our Kids Night promotions by donating merchandise or gift certificates to be included in the giveaways. You can also make a cash donation, which will go towards the purchase of prizes for our young fans. Your company will be acknowledged in promotions at the track, on our website and in print advertising for your participation in the Kids Night events.
