S ANDUSKY COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS RALLY O CTOBER FREMONT OHIO Sandusky Fairgrounds: 901 Rawson Ave Fremont OH Mark your calendars for the final Nomads outdoor rally of the year. This is a great way to celebrate the fall season. The weather will be cool and dry, the leaves will be turning gold and red and it will make a great finale to the camping season. The rally will be held at the Sandusky County Fairgrounds in Fremont, Ohio. Features will include a Red Hat luncheon, hobo stew, an Apple Festival in nearby Oak Harbor and a flea market and car show on the fairgrounds. Lake Erie is also near by for anyone interested in sightseeing or fishing For directions see map on Page 4 O AK HARBOR APPLE FESTIVAL O CT Visit the Oak Harbor Apple Festival while attending the Fremont rally Celebrate the beginning of autumn in Ohio, at our 28th annual Oak Harbor Apple Festival in downtown Oak Harbor. This outdoor festival is sponsored by the Oak Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce and attended by over 40,000 visitors annually. Main events on Saturday include the announcement of the new Royalty Court, Grand Parade at 2:00pm, Talent Show and an Adult Dance to round out the evening. Sunday includes more family entertainment, Local Youth Talent, Car Show, Apple Kids and Adult 5K run. Rides, games and food fill the downtown streets all weekend.

2 Page 2 A WORD FROM OUR PRESIDENT The Greenville rally is history and so is my time as president of the Ohio Nomads. Both have been a great time! Bob & Mary Alice Gast & their helpers (Yaucks, Howards, Shermans & others) did a great job. We had tours of the Workhorse & Kitchenaid factories, 2 catered meals, 2 breakfasts & a night of comedy. We had some rain but it did not slow down the 39 coaches in attendance as we had plenty of inside sightseeing. The last 4 years as VP & President have been an easy time for Bev & me with all the help we have had from VP Connie Trytek, Secy. & Treas. Butch & Debbie Sherman, and Nat. & Alt Directors Norm Holley & Ken Schlacht. Without their help it would have been an impossible job. Your new officers elected at this rally are the same with the addition of Paul Carr as VP & Connie as President. I know that at the start of the new officers term it seems silly to think about the next set of officers but we, as a club, need new people to step up to be officers & rally hosts. Without this effort the club will fall apart & I don t think any of us wants that. Thanks again for all your support & Bev & I will see you at the next rally & the next & the next..
