Greetings friends and family.fall is here but it still feels like summer, which is good as we do have some fun activities coming up. First I want to say what a great show our friends at the Orange County Mustang Club put on. Melinda Morales was the car show chair for this show and did a great job. I want to thank all the SBMO members that attended this charity show as the proceeds all went to the City of Hope. It was a little warm that day so it was a good thing the In N Out had air conditioning. I want to encourage everyone to plan on attending this show next year. Mustangs polished up for the event. During opening ceremonies we were able to have our cars on the track for some parade laps and burnouts thanks Jim for leading and taking care of burning up your tires for the entertainment of the crowd. After a couple of pace laps we parked back in our reserve parking area next to the grandstands and had a great time watching the races for the night. I believe everyone in attendance had a great time. We did have one causality on the way to the track I can t say if anyone waived as they went by, and the word is the car will live to ride again. 4 (Pres Continued from page 1) shows. First up on the 6 th will be Mustang on the Bay in San Diego. This is the San Diego Mustang clubs annual car show held at the Embarcadero Marina Park, just behind Seaport Village. Then on October 27 th will be the OCMC Mustang Madness car show at Ken Grody Ford in Buena Park. This is always a fun car show with plenty of activities like Costume and joke contests. Check the OCMC website for a flyer or pick one up at our next meeting. And finally also on October 27 th will be Wings, Wheels, and Rotors at the Joint Forces Base in Los Alamitos. This show is very different and from our members that have attended in the past always fun. So there you go some fun shows to do, and we still have 2 more months to go this year with more activities planned. Okay now for the business part of this We will be hold nominations for Officers and Board members at our October meeting. This is very serious business as who you elect will lead this club for the next year. I would like to encourage all our Horsin' Around members to plan on attending the next couple of meetings as we nominate and then elect our Officers and Board Members for next year. And while on this subject will be holding our last Board Meeting for 2013 on October 22 nd at 1:00 pm. Joe Huerta has once again offered the use of his house for our board meeting, thanks Joe. We will review the status of our club and making the final plans to our fun Christmas party. Let Joe know if you are planning on attending, we will put together a little pot luck and need to know who is coming and what they are going to bring. See you all at our next meeting.. take care!!!
