Greetings everyone, it was a very cold November from me when I woke up the other morning and looked out at snow coving the ground. Big change from sunny So. Cal. What a good turnout we had for the Planes of Fame tour. The group was so big they broke our members down to 3 smaller groups to make sure everyone was taken care of. Also in November we held another cruise to Ragin Cajun Café with a good showing of members. Let s make the next one bigger and better, so on December 6 th at 11:30 am meet your fellow members at Ragin Cajun. Shine up the Mustang, bring it on out and kick some tires and enjoy the food. Coming up on December 5 th is our Annual Christmas/ Holiday Party. This will be my last event as your President and am looking forward to seeing everyone there. We have a fun night planned for you, and some good food. Party starts at 6pm, but you have plenty of time to get there as we will not have the food until 6:30pm. Following dinner, we will hold the ever popular gift exchange so if you want to participate then make sure you bring a wrapped gift valued at least $15. The gift exchange is pretty simple and I will go over the rules at the party. We are also working our charity a little differently as Cheer for Children has no place to store all the gifts. There will be 50/50 drawing with half going to the kids. Also if you want to make any additional donations to them simply bring a check made out to Cheer for Children. On another note I want to remind everyone that once again there will be no general meeting for December. We will kick off 2016 with the first meeting held on January 6 th at Sizzlers in Torrance. Joe Huerta is working on setting up a tour of the newly remodeled Petersen Museum. Donna Goodwin has set up another great cruise for all our members. Check out the flyer in the newsletter for a fun time on the high seas. There will also be our 2 car shows happening, Edelbrock and our El Camino shows. There is a push for all clubs to do something special on April 17 th for the National Mustang day so (Continued on page 4) 50/50 Drawing! Again this year we will be holding a 50/50 drawing to benefit the Cheer for Children charity. We will not be collecting toys for this year. Registration is already open and you can download the forms on line. There will plenty of things to do and don t forget some of the great outings that the Orange County Mustang clubs puts on too. So make sure to attend meetings and watch our Club Website and Facebook pages for information. If you are a Facebook user feel free to post items of interest to the club s page, it is there for all of you. I have been writing this for the last 13 years as your President, and have been honored to server this club for the last 20 years. Almost from the start I was recruited to run for the board and to volunteer for many jobs. I have done this most gladly and have enjoyed meeting all the great people in this club. I Horsin' Around have tried to ensure that everyone has a good time at our events, and they no one feels left out. I know that I am leaving this club in great hands, our Officers and Board Members are very dedicated to make this a fun and welcoming club. This club belongs to each and every one of you so go out and make it the best. I may have moved to Arizona, but you know it really is not that far away. We look forward to attending the upcoming Christmas party and joining everyone at other events throughout the coming months and years. Take care for now and I hope to see many of you soon. Coffee & Cars is held the 1st Saturday of each month at The Peninsula Center in Rolling Hills from 7:30AM-9AM.
