T E mail: iqbaldau@live.com Nicola Hughes Hi All, Following the tragic death of my daughter and BKK member, PC Nicola Hughes and her colleague PC Fiona Bone in September there are a number of events being planned in honour of these two young and brave Police Officer's to raise money for two very worthwhile causes; North West Police Benevolent Fund COPS (Care of Police Survivors) These two charities care for Officers families and Officers who are injured or pass away on duty. Event 1 Four Police Officers from the Metropolitan Police are cycling the 200 miles from London to Manchester between 6th & 9th November 2012 arriving at Greater Manchester Police HQ on the 9th Nov Event 2 A Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officer is walking the entire GMP Force boundary (135 miles) over three days in March 2013 Event 3 A Greater Manchester Police officer is trekking across the Sahara Desert over eight days in March 2013 Event 4 Four Prison Officers from Wakefield (HMP) Prison are cycling from John 'o' Groats to Lands End, when they reach Manchester this will coincide with a Rugby Match between Greater Manchester Police & The Prison Service. If each dojo managed to raise a minimum of 10 per dojo (more if they wish) it would make the efforts of those completing the events worthwhile. Since taking up this position he has done a tremendous job but due to family and professional pressures, he feels it is time to stand down. 3 4th IFK World Tournament Personal message from Hanshi Steve Arneil to all BKK/IFK Members Following my recent announcement that we are holding the 4 th IFK World Tournament here in UK, I am writing to all IFK Countries to see what level of assistance they can offer for this forthcoming World Tournament in I would be grateful if you could let me know if you can personally assist in the organization and fund raising of this event with me and Shihan Liam Keaveney and in particular let me know the areas that you could be most effective in. As we all know this will not be an easy task both from an administration and financial point of view and I will really appreciate your input and support in making this tournament as successful as our last tournament held here in the UK in Kind regards and I look forward to hearing from you.
