22 Merchandise & Pin Trading Games Gear Store in the Athletes Village was popular Games Gear Fridays promotion primed the pump for success Success of the clothing line was aided by the Games branding Event Max & Canadian Tire stepped up to assist us with 1 year to go Both merchandise and pin sales exceeded targets & expectations Games time merchandise sales were +13% ahead of plan Pins sales were +62% higher than the sales plan Pin trading at the 2015 Games was extremely successful The pin trading area in a central pedestrian hub worked well CANADA - GAMES- ~

23 Sport & Venues Highlights 22 Official Test Events from March 2013 to January 2015 All outdoor events completed in one of the warmest winters on record Sport venues performed well with many receiving rave reviews from technical delegates, coaches, NSO s and athletes 327 medical personnel delivered a robust medical program that did not have any critical incidents to attend to Special recognition to Northern Health Authority for their support and contributions from planning through to service delivery CANADA - GAMES- ~

24 Sport & Venues Highlights Over 5,800 bus hours transported participants over 18 days with significant praise from all Pave The Way free transit initiative led by UNBC students in partnership with the City of Prince George resulted in over 78,000 rides (40%-50% increase) over the 18 days Over 74,600 meals including 9,500 litres of chocolate milk were served at the Civic Centre with excellent ratings by the athletes Athlete accommodations in the downtown core hotels contributed to the vibrant downtown during the Games CANADA - GAMES- ~

25 Volunteers & Volunteer Services Over 4,800 volunteers supported the 2015 Canada Winter Games Columbia Sportswear uniform package provided by the Host Society Week One Volunteer Recognition Canada Games Plaza Week Two Volunteer Recognition Canada Games Plaza Planning Volunteer Prince George Civic Centre Volunteers provided a minimum of 36 hours to the Games The Green Jackets did an amazing job CANADA - GAMES- ~

26 Registration & Accreditation Over 12,000 accreditation badges were produced Excellent Accreditation Centre location in the Games Village Great support from Konica Minolta for printing the badges The accreditation team did an outstanding job credentialing everyone CANADA - GAMES- ~

27 Challenges & Issue Management Changes in local government Ice plant malfunction at curling facility Severe cold weather & freezing rain just prior to the Games Labour disruptions & potential strike at UNBC Civic employees strike within one year of the Games Fire at a athlete hotel just prior to hosting the Games Lack of snow at the mountain venues Airport closure for over two days due to equipment malfunction Extended power outages prior to the Games New hotel not finished & not available to the Games CANADA - GAMES- ~

28 Fort St. John Plan & Execution A contingency plan was in development for over two years A deal was struck with the FSJ speed skating club one year out Warm temperatures caused damage to the Outdoor Ice Oval ice surface Competition was suspended on the second day due to safety concerns A decision was made at 9:30 am & press announcement at 10:00 am All participants were flown to FSJ to complete the final three days The Pomeroy Sport Centre was a great venue for the competition Participants were returned to PG the evening before departure home CANADA - GAMES- ~
