This was the beginning of PARIS MIKI as it is known today. The smiles and praises I received from our customers were my sole source of hope in getting through those dark and difficult years. 7 PARIS MIKI S HISTORY 1930 Oct. Seikakudo Tokeiten is opened in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture Jan. Miki Tokeiten Inc. is opened in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture by founder Yoshio Tane (now deceased) as a retail store engaged in the sale and repair of clocks, precious metals and eyeglasses Mar. The company is renamed MIKI OPTICAL Inc. and business is shifted exclusively to eyeglass retailing Mar. The company is first overseas subsidiary, MIKI PARIS S.A.R.L is established and store on Rue de l Opera in Paris is opened Jan. PARIS-MIKI CO., LTD. (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) is established as a base for full-fledged opening of stores in eastern Japan Jan.
