In the month of March, your Publication Committee has organized a Painting Competition for Children & Teenagers between ages 5 to 15. 2 Karachi Club Publication Publication First time in the history of Karachi Club, Publication Committee under the convenorship of Abdul Ghaffar organized an event on US Investor Immigration - EB5 that was broadcast live on social media. The event which took place on Friday, 9th February 2018 at Karachi Club (Main) Lawn, has been noted as the largest gathering on the subject in Karachi. Abbas Hashmi, CEO of Green Card Capital along with his team of experts Shahzad Qadri, Partner in the Redmond, Washington office of Wong Fleming and Chair of their Immigration Law practice group and Najam F. Syed, Director of Asset Management with Civitas Capital Group enlightened the august audience about the benefits and opportunity about US Investor Immigration. The members took keen interest in the seminar and posed various questions to the consultant. The members also had the opportunity to interact live with the consultants through WhatsApp. Abdul Ghaffar, Convenor Publication, thanked his Sub Committee members, specially Mrs. Ruquaiya Bano Razzak and Mustafa Khalique who were instrumental in organizing the event. The Chief Guest, Honorary Secretary Karachi Club, Mohammad Yousuf Suleman along with Acting President Karachi Club, Asim Ghani Usman graced the occasion by their presence. The seminar was attendant by large number of members. Famous TV anchor, Nazia Malik hosted the event. Members Karachi Club appreciated Abdul Ghaffar and his Sub Committee for such a well organized, professional and knowledgeable seminar. The seminar was followed by Dinner. Tennis Karachi Club became a proud sponsor of Special Olympics Pakistan by conducting Special Olympics Pakistan's National Tennis Championship 2018 at Karachi Club. The tournament was divided into singles and doubles events where a total of 10 children participated. The final was graced by the presence of our Honorary Secretary, Mohammad Yousuf Suleman, Tennis Secretary, Ali Mansoor Zaidi and Tennis Sub-Committee Member, Adnan Amin. Karachi Club also gifted Tennis Balls to each participant to encourage and promote these special children. Club

3 Club Karachi Club Publication Billiards & Snooker along with Mohammad Yousuf Suleman, Honorary Secretary Karachi Club and Asim Ghani Usman, Convenor Billiards & Snooker graced the prize distribution ceremony. The first tournament of snooker KC Single Handicap Snooker Tournament 2018 was held at Karachi Club Snooker Room from 12th to 24th February More than 70 players participated in the event. Salman Billo and Ameer Hamza were the Semi Finalist of the tournament. Final was played between Hammad Shaikh and Salman Merchant which was won by Hammad Shaikh with a score of 3-2 in best of 5 frames. Highest break of the tournament was achieved by Ameer Hamza (-44). Chief Guest Mohammad Hanif Lakhany, President Karachi Club Health & Fitness On Friday, 23rd February 2018, the Health & Fitness Committee of Karachi Club organized under the new convenorship of Amin Merchant, his first seminar on the most essential disease Diabetes by Professor (Capt.) M. Zaman Shaikh a renowned Consultant Physician, Diabetes & Hormone Specialist. Dr. Zaman explained in detail the symptoms and how to maintain it to live a normal life likewise non diabetic. Chief Guest, Mohammad Ayub Bawany alongwith Mohammad Hanif Lakhany, President Karachi Club and Mohammad Yousuf Suleman, Honorary Secretary Karachi Club graced the occasion by the presence. The seminar was attendant by large number of members.

4 Karachi Club Publication Club Secretary, Rizwan Dewan and Cricket Sub Committee members remained at the venue throughout the tournament. Cricket February 11th 2018, our KC Lawn was flooded with kids when our Cricket Committee has organized a Cricket Event KC Tape Ball Cricket Tournament 2018 for the youngest group of the lot. It was no doubt a successful event where 144 kids participated and the beauty of the tournament was that KC Cricket Committee had ensured every kid in the team either got a chance to bat or to bowl. A total of 16 teams were formed and each team had 9 players. Our Chief Guest Mauzzam Pervaiz Hassan Khan, Former Honorary Secretary Karachi Club gave awards to the winning & runner up team members along with certificates. All Man of The Match winners were awarded Cricket Bat signed by Test Cricketer Danish Kaneria. After 8 Round matches, 4 Quarter Final matches, 2 Semi-Final matches the team which faced each other in the Grand Finale was KC Yellow (Maroon) & KC Yellow (Blue). KC Yellow (Maroon) won the tournament. Cricket Convenor, Farhan Wahab Lakhany along with Cricket Entertainment Convenor Entertainment, Irfan Ayub and his Sub Committee organized 'Melodious Night' on the 24th of February 2018 at Karachi Club (Main) Lawn. The event attracted a sizable audience from diverse age groups. The seating arrangement added to the atmosphere as some of the audience members comfortably enjoyed the event resting their backs on 'Gao Takiyas'. Sara Hasan, Mazhar Iqbal, Talat Aslam, Shehla Shabbir, Nawab Naqvi, Sanobber Nasim, Sarwat, Shakil Jafri impressed the audience with an enthralling performance, conducted by the talented Shakil Jafri. The intervals also included witty jokes by Shakil Jafri. Shaan Ali also sang Sufi kalaam and Zufashan Hasan played melodiously Sitar. Honorary Secretary Karachi Club, Mohammad Yousuf Suleman was present at the occasion as well and said that they would try for a long-term affiliation between Karachi Club and the Alaap Group. Prof. Dr. Fouzia Khan, Chairperson Alaap, remarked that such musical events help in relieving stress and thanked Convenor, Irfan Ayub for a successful event.

6 Karachi Club Publication Club Badminton First Badminton Tournament of the year 2018 under the convenorship of Abdullah Khatri, Badminton Sub Committee organized KC Badminton Team Event Tournament which was held on Tuesday, 27th February More than 30 players were participated in this tournament. After all the good matches finally Team Green which was led by Luqman Jawed won the title of the tournament by beating Team Blue led by Qamar Saleem. Secretary Badminton, Muhammad Dawood distributed trophies among both teams. Bridge Bridge Bridge Secretary, Akber Hayat Khan congratulated the winners of KC Bridge Event which was held on Thursday, 22nd February 2018 at Karachi Club (Main). Winners of KC Bridge Event were Ghulam Mohammad and Zafar Zaki. Bridge Committee under the convenorship of Haresh Kumar Kumar Perwani organized its monthly bridge tournament for the bridge playing members of Karachi on Tuesday, 13th February 2018 at Karachi Club Annexe.
