To assist with the cleaning of the preschool section and hand over non- perishable food. 10:00-13:00 18 Jul 67 Minutes for Mandela ACH Roodepoort Museum The Roodepoort Museum will distribute 10 Winter Care Gift Bags containing blankets, gloves & hats to vulnerable Senior Citizens. 18 Jul Adopt and Empower in Partnership with June 16 Memorial Acre in Celebration of Mandela 100 years centenary program on Mandela day 18 Jul Bensusan Fiftieth Anniversary Seminar and Exhibition ACH June 16 Memorial Acre As part of the Nelson Mandela Centenary, June 16 Memorial Acre will partner with Adopt and Empower is planning to plant 100 trees in Ward 35. One tree will be planted at the June 16 Memorial Acre. The June 16 Memorial will be required to identify a space in its garden to plant a tree in remembrance of the stalwart. ACH Museum Africa The Bensusan Museum inside Museum Africa is celebrating fifty years since its inception by the its founder Dr. Bensusan and this year a seminar and an exhibition around its collections and historic exhibitions will take place. The staff will buy the cleaning materials for differently abled or orphans. Region A is a Recipient - The NEPAD Agency s will be donating both new and second hand books to the. 11:00-12:00 Region D Staff members of Region D will organise tea for Senior Citizens from around Diepkloof Zone 5. They were identified by the Friends of the Diepkloof Zone 5. Staff to hand over packs of toiletries for Senior Citizens (60+). Region F Staff members will clean windows at the centre and donate toiletries to the orphans for teenagers. The programme is called Motivation Boards for 23 females. Participants will cut out pictures from magazines, explaining their career choices and future plans. Once completed, they will keep / hang these boards / posters in their homes as motivation for their future plans. 15:00 ACH Museum Africa The exhibition is titled Experience China- Porcelain on Silk Road Jingdezhen Porcelain Arte Exhibition in South Africa The exhibition focuses on the essence of Jingdezhen porcelain. In re-walking the silk road journey, the world will have a new understanding of Chinese porcelain art, which helps to shape the image of Chinese culture. MMC to attend Education Club ACH Kliptown Open Air Museum 21 Jul Centenary Celebration ACH James Hall Museum of Transport This involve groups of learners from various schools who will participate in educational related activities marks 100 years centenary of the birth of Tata Nelson Mandela and Mama Albertina Sisulu. It will be celebrated under two themes - 'Be the legacy' for Mandela and 'A woman of fortitude' for Sisulu. The main objective of the celebration is to bring South Africans together. It is also a clarion call to search within ourselves and find humanity that exists within us. Ride for Madiba seeks to promote the museum to visitors by offering free rides to some of the collection. The program also challenges visitors to locate Madiba in them by donating blankets and warm clothes for homeless people around Rosettenville. The museum will work with the local councillor to ensure that the community becomes an integral part of the program. JMHT had a meeting with the Ward councillor Faeeza Chame on 03 July 2018 to be part of the planning committee. The TMT Sports Group, with the support of the Smile Foundation, will be hosting its first ever Big Shoe Cup in AFRICA on the 21 July 2018 at the Braam Fischer, Soweto Multi-Purpose Sports Grounds. This soccer tournament aims to raise funds, which will be used to pay for 11 surgeries for children with facial deformities and conditions. The TMT Sports Group, with the support of the Smile Foundation, will be hosting its first ever Big Shoe Cup in AFRICA at the Braam Fischer, Soweto Multi-Purpose Sports Grounds.
