3 Our annual family fun ride is on Sunday 2nd September 2018 at the Richmond Country Club which is some of the best riding terrain in KZN with beautiful surrounds. This is a fundraiser for Pied Piper Pre Primary School and the Club, so come along and have a great day out for the whole family all for a good cause!! There will be breakfast rolls available early in the morning with full catering and bar facilities all day.all you need to do is bring your bike! Pre Entry Fees (close 31st August) are R for the adult track a ± 30km loop (NEW TRACK THIS YEAR being finalised this month) with something for everyone and only R60 for the kids 5km track. You may also enter on the day. Registration for the motorbike ride opens at 7.00am and closes at 9.45am. The course opens at 10am and closes at 2pm. How to Enter Online/Pre entries get priority so please download the Richmond Fun Ride Entry Form 2018 and enter now!!! You may also enter on the day. Directions To Richmond Country Club: From Durban: take the Umlaas Road/Richmond turnoff. Turn right at cross roads to Richmond. At Thornville T-junction turn left to Richmond on the R56 for approx. 22kms. Bypass Richmond town (turn off to Richmond, ignore) and go under the bridge. Pass Andersons Garage on your right. Richmond Country Club is the next turn on your right. From Pietermaritzburg: Take the R56 to Richmond/Ixopo for approx. 22kms. Ignore the main Richmond turn off and go under

We will then have an intermediate loop which will be a good ride for the average to upper weekend warrior. Then for those who recon they are at pro level we have a special loop for them to test their skills. The riding terrain consists or hard pack, rocky uphills and downhills, ravines which consist of soft river sand and challenging rocky sections, waterfalls, step ups and some nice open areas to clean the carbs and get air through those radiators. However please remember that we have scaled each loop in terms of technicality as we want everyone to be able to come and enjoy the day, no matter your skill level.

7 Regrettably we cannot include quads due to the nature of the course. There will be food and drinks available at our stalls. We will also have a lucky draw at the end of the ride. A good mix of terrain types and new areas will definitely add to to FUN in this ride. This event caters for quad bikes and this allows us to also cater for beginner riders, families who would like to ride together. In 2017 this was a great feature of the ride as many dads were able to ride with their beginner sons or daughters. The track also received rave reviews for the marking and

10 preparation as well as the hot showers and shady parking for entrants and their families. For 2018 we have been able to secure new tracts of land on which to ride, which have allowed us to include some very exciting terrain with single track, hill climbs and river crossings, all of which have alternative routes for beginners. This is a fun ride to raise funds for the Hermannsburg School in Hermannsburg KZN. The main loops is a healthy 35km and includes technical sections as well as alternative routes. Food and drink will be available at the event. How to Enter Arrive on the day and pay. No need to pre-register. Directions Hermannsburg can be approached either on the R74 from Stanger or Greytown, or on the R33 from Pietermaritzburg or Dundee. For those approaching from Pietermaritzburg, the P160 short cut allows one to avoid the extra distance entailed by going through Greytown. Look out for the turn off when you see the huge grain silos to the East of the R33. The P160 is a fairly good tar road, joining the R74 from Greytown at Welgegund petrol station, where you turn right towards Ahrens and Kranskop. The Hermannsburg turn to the right is clearly signposted turn right onto the P305 at the crossroads by the piggery and then left onto the D469, which ends at the school.

14 The organisers a running a Funduro as part of the Dirt Fest. No licence is required for the Funduro which will be run on a separate track. The event is to be held on a farm in Mooi river and the terrain is a variation of trees and open grassland with a moderate density and rather mountainous. The riders of the funduro will have their own track whilst Natal Off road racing club will have their final competition race for the year on another track with a huge pit area dividing the two tracks. Our local round table will be catering the food and bar and there will be camping facilities available for those who wish to stay over. How To Enter You can enter and pay on the day. Directions DIRECTIONS TO THE VENUE FROM THE ENGEN 1 STOP IN MOOI RIVER Head north on the R103 towards the R622 for 1.5 km. At the roundabout take the 1st exit onto Weston Road for 110 m. Turn left onto Claughton Terrace for 110 m. Turn right onto Lawrence Road in the direction of Giants Castle for 25.4 km. Turn right onto D50 for 4.7 km. 17 Event Description: West to South Enduro 2017 This is not your typical Funduro event as you know it, nor is it for beginners. Nor is it a race, but a navigational enduro, which means the route is not marked and you will have to find your way with a GPS device. We believe these type of events will become increasingly popular. This annual event have reversed the is now the West (Piecevale, Just Umsinzi Adventures South to West is happening 26th August, we ride this year to keep things fresh, so it to South. The event starts at The Arc past Assagai upper Highway) and ends at (Brewery in Mid Illovo Toti). There are both advanced and intermediate tracks. It is an enduro type event so expect to be out there for the majority of your day depending on skill level. There will be a refuelling point approximately halfway. 22 Baynesfield Dirtfest Funduro The Baynesfield Dirtfest Funduro takes place on Sunday 14th Feb 2016! Yes it s Valentines Day, but it will be a fantastic family day out. Who needs romance when you can have this much fun!?! 23 Dirtbikes only, sorry no Quads! 35km main loop with technical options and shortcuts. Novice loop is 21km with options to join main loop. Also a separate kiddies loop aimed at PeeWee 50 s etc, a dirt track around soya and mielie fields. Route consists of haulage tracks, lots of forest paths, some nice drops and climbs, a nice long rocky downhill (not too difficult, bit of concentration needed), a good steep little climb with a bypass if needed and some nice fast open bits. This is a FULL ON FAMILY DAY for everybody! Jumping castles, swimming pool, jungle gyms, tennis courts to ride bicycles on, HUGE grassy bits to roll around on and of course the legendary Baynesfield club with outstanding home made food and plenty to drink from the famous Baynesfield Pub! The Challenge Loop is 37km long and has optional extreme sections which will make the track very interesting for those who enjoy technical riding.
