The game is Nebraska s final road contest of the 2008 campaign, while Kansas State finishes its schedule with home games against Nebraska and Iowa State (Nov. 22). Nebraska enters the game with a 6-4 record and a 3-3 Big 12 mark following a win over Kansas last week in Lincoln. Kansas State comes into the contest at 4-6 overall and is 1-5 in Big 12 Conference play after a setback at Missouri last Saturday night. The Wildcats must win their last two games to qualify for a bowl game, while Nebraska has secured its 38th bowl trip in 40 seasons. The Series Nebraska holds a commanding edge in the 92 meetings between the schools, including a advantage in Manhattan and a 14-4 mark at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Kansas State captured five of seven meetings between 1998 and 2004, however, Nebraska has rebounded to win each of the last three meetings. A victory on Saturday in Manhattan would give the Huskers their seventh win streak of at least four games against Kansas State. The Coaches Nebraska: Bo Pelini (Ohio State, 90) has a 7-4 record in his first season with the Huskers. In addition to six 2008 wins, Pelini led Nebraska to a victory as interim head coach in the 2003 Alamo Bowl. Pelini has served as defensive coordinator at NU, Oklahoma and most recently LSU over the past five seasons. Previously, he had stints as an NFL assistant with San Francisco, New England and Green Bay. Kansas State: Ron Prince (Appalachian State, 92) is in his third season as Kansas State s head coach and has a mark with the Wildcats. Prior to taking over at K-State, Prince was the offensive coordinator at Virginia. Prince is 0-2 against Nebraska. Nebraska Football Nebraska is all-time, one of just five schools with 800 all-time victories. Nebraska has won five national championships (1970, 1971, 1994, 1995, 1997). Pelini joined the Huskers after a highly successful five-year run as a collegiate defensive coordinator, including orchestrating Nebraska s defensive efforts in Pelini owns a 7-4 career record after also serving as the interim head coach in the 2003 Alamo Bowl win over Michigan State. Following his one season at Nebraska, Pelini served as the co-defensive coordinator at Oklahoma in 2004, helping the Sooners to the Big 12 title and BCS title game. He then followed with three seasons as the defensive coordinator at LSU. With the Tigers, Pelini led three consecutive defenses to No. 3 national rankings in total defense. He culminated his time in Baton Rouge by helping the Tigers to the 2007 national championship. In addition to his five seasons at the collegiate level, Pelini coached in the NFL for nine seasons serving three years each with the San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots and Green Bay Packers. Pelini was a team captain and four-year letterman as a safety at Ohio State from 1987 to Pelini Brings Track Record of Defensive Success to NU While the 2008 season marks Bo Pelini s first season as a head coach, he has an impressive track record as a defensive coordinator on the collegiate level. Pelini has been a part of five straight defenses that have ranked among the nation s best units, including his 2003 defense at Nebraska. Pelini led the 2003 Blackshirts to impressive numbers. Nebraska nabbed a school-record 47 takeaways in 2003, including a Big 12- record 32 interceptions. NU finished the season second in scoring defense, first in pass efficiency defense and 11th in total defense. The success under Pelini has over the past four years, including the 2007 LSU defense that finished third nationally in total defense to help the Tigers to the BCS National Championship. * In 77 games as a collegiate coach, Pelini s defenses have posted eight shutouts, held the opposition to seven points or less 28 times and to 20 points or less 49 times. * Pelini-led defenses have 157 total takeaways, including two top-three national rankings. Pelini Looks to Build on Success of First-Year Coaches Bo Pelini is the 28th head coach in the 119 seasons of Nebraska football and is hoping to find the first-year success of several of his predecessors. Three of the previous four Nebraska head coaches (since 1962) began their Husker coaching careers with nine-win seasons. Bob Devaney posted a 9-2 record and led NU to the Gotham Bowl in That success followed six straight losing seasons by Nebraska. Tom Osborne guided the Huskers to a record and a trip to the Cotton Bowl in 1973, while Frank Solich s first squad (1998) posted a 9-4 record and played in the Holiday Bowl. Pelini s 4-0 start matched Tom Osborne for the fifth-best start to a Nebraska coaching career. Cornhusker Staff Has Familiarity with Nebraska, Big 12 The Nebraska coaching staff has many faces that are familiar to Nebraska fans and observers of the Big 12 Conference. Two assistant coaches returned from Nebraska s 2007 coaching staff in offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Shawn Watson and wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore. However, they are far from the only coaches who have familiarity with Nebraska and the Big 12 Conference. Led by head coach Bo Pelini, every member of the 2008 Nebraska coaching staff has previous experience working in the Big 12. Pelini is one of eight full-time staff members who will enter the season with previous experience on the Nebraska sideline. 4 Three Things To Know About Saturday s Game Nebraska assistant coach (linebackers) Mike Ekeler is a 1995 graduate of Kansas State where he was a four-year letterman from 1991 to Ekeler helped the Wildcats to two bowl games and was named team captain by Coach Bill Snyder for the 1994 season, the only selfappointed team captain during his tenure. NU defensive coordinator Carl Pelini was a graduate assistant coach at KSU in 1989 and 1990 and a restricted earnings coach in 1991 while Husker assistant coach Tim Beck (running backs) followed Pelini as a graduate assistant coach in 1991 and Last year, Nebraska exploded for 73 points, the most points in series history and the most by NU in 10 seasons. The Huskers topped 700 yards of total offense, NU's highest output in 12 years, while setting school records for passing yards (519) and passing TDs (7). Nebraska is looking for its fourth straight win over the Wildcats, after KSU took five of seven matchups between 1998 and Kansas State s three-game win streak from was its longest in the 92-game history of the series. The Huskers will be looking for their second straight win in Manhattan, Kan., after losing the previous four matchups on the road. Breaking Down the Wildcats Offense The Kansas State offense runs through sophomore quarterback Josh Freeman, who ranks 13th nationally in total offense as he averages 292 yards per game. Freeman has passed for 2,552 yards and 15 touchdowns while tossing eight interceptions. He is also the team s rushing leader with 369 yards on a team-high 90 attempts. Freeman paces the squad with 14 rushing touchdowns, four more than the rest of the team combined. Along with Freeman, Lamark Brown has gained nearly 300 yards on the ground and is second on the squad with four rushing TDs this year. Banks has 57 catches for 917 yards (91.7 ypg) and eight receiving touchdowns. Defense Like many defenses in the offensively-geared Big 12 Conference, the KSU defense has struggled at times this season and ranks 110th in the country in total defense. The Wildcats are giving up more than 210 rushing yards per game this season while allowing 34.4 points per game. Joshua Moore leads the team with 60 tackles this season while adding a team-best two interceptions and 10 pass breakups. Defensive linemen Brandon Harold and Ian Campbell have provided the pressure up front, helping KSU average 1.6 sacks and 5.8 tackles for loss per game. Harold leads the team with 10.5 tackles for loss while Campbell has added eight TFLs, including a team-high 4.5 sacks. Special Teams The Wildcats have posted an impressive eight blocked kicks this season with six players collecting at least one block. KSU has turned four of its blocked punts into touchdowns, while the team s punt return leader, Deon Murphy, also has a punt return touchdown. Murphy is also the team leader with 27.4 yards per kickoff return. Like the Huskers, Kansas State has struggled in the punting game, as the Wildcats rank 109th nationally in net punting. The Huskers lost road games against No. 2 Texas Tech and fifth-ranked Oklahoma, while winning at Iowa State. The win at Iowa State snapped a five-game road losing streak, dating back to last year s victory at Wake Forest. It was also Nebraska s first Big 12 road win in five tries. A win over Kansas State in Manhattan would be the Huskers second straight at KSU (21-3, 2006) and would give NU a.500 or better road record for just the fourth time in the past eight seasons. A win would also mark NU s fourth.500 or better record in league play since 2002, and be the first time the Huskers have won back-to-back games in Manhattan since 1994 and Nebraska lost four straight games at Kansas State from 1998 to Nebraska owns a 14-4 all-time record at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The Huskers won the first 13 meetings in the facility, before K-State s streak. Husker Schedule Among Nation s Toughest As expected, Nebraska s 2008 schedule has turned out to be one of the toughest in the nation. The schedule includes six teams who played in a bowl game last season, and four teams that were ranked in the final AP top 10 last season. Already this season, Nebraska faced consecutive games against top 10 opponents No. 4 Missouri and seventh-ranked Texas Tech, in addition to a trip to No. 4 Oklahoma. Last year, Nebraska faced 10 bowl teams, including four teams that finished in the top 10, and this year s schedule is shaping up to be equally difficult. * Six of Nebraska s 12 regular-season contests are against teams that participated in a bowl game following the 2007 campaign. Among the group are three teams that played in the Bowl Championship Series, including Virginia Tech (Orange), Oklahoma (Fiesta) and Kansas (Orange). Missouri (Cotton), Texas Tech (Gator) and Colorado (Independence) also played in bowl games following last season. * Four of Nebraska s 2008 opponents finished in the top 10 in the national polls last fall, including Missouri (4-AP, 5 Coaches), Kansas (7), Oklahoma (8) and Virginia Tech (9). * Five Nebraska opponents were ranked in the top 17 in the preseason Associated Press Poll. * NU is one of just four teams in the country scheduled to play three 2007 BCS teams this fall, and one of two teams that will face four foes that were ranked in the final top 10. Nebraska ranks 13th nationally in passing offense at yards per game and is 14th in the nation in total offense, averaging yards per game. Nebraska also ranks 23rd nationally in scoring offense at 33.8 points per game. In Big 12 games only, Nebraska ranks fourth in the conference averaging yards per game. The success of the offense comes on the heels of an explosive offensive campaign in NU finished last year ranked ninth nationally in total offense at yards per game, and seventh in passing at yards per game. The passing average was a school record, while the total offensive average was Nebraska s best in a decade. Nebraska boasts impressive numbers dating back to last season. 4Nebraska has gained 400 total yards or more in 12 of the past 15 games. 4The Huskers have passed for at least 200 yards in the past 15 games, with eight 300-yard games in that stretch. 4The Huskers are averaging yards per game over their past 13 games, including yards per game through the air. Nebraska is averaging 38.5 points over its past 13 games and has scored at least 30 points in 11 of 13 games dating back to last season. 4Among Nebraska s offensive explosion to finish last year was a 702-yard day against Kansas State, the 10th-best output in school history and the best since Nebraska has produced two 500-yard total offense games in Page 6

6 Nebraska Total Offense Stats Nebraska finished 2007 ranked ninth nationally in total offense at yards per game. The 2007 average was NU s best since averaging yards per game in The Huskers are averaging ypg this season. Last season marked the fourth time in the last 10 years NU has averaged at least 400 yards of total offense. Prior to 1998, Nebraska averaged better than 400 yards per game for 24 straight seasons. Nebraska averaged 30 points or more for 24 straight years from 1978 to Year Scoring Offense NU Back on Scoring Track Nebraska scored at least 30 points in seven straight games before posting 17 points against Missouri. That marked the longest streak of 30-plus point games since NU hit that mark in 13 straight games, including the entire 1995 season and the first game of the 1996 campaign. Overall, Nebraska has point efforts in its past 13 games. Against Virginia Tech, Nebraska scored four touchdowns, ending a streak of six straight games with five or more touchdowns. That streak was the longest with at least five touchdowns since the first eight games of the 1989 season. Nebraska Time of Possession The NU offense is one of the nation s best at controlling the clock. The Huskers rank second nationally in time of possession, averaging 33:11 per game. The Huskers average is their best since averaging 33:36 in NU s time of possesion average this season is nearly four minutes more than in Year Avg. TOP : : : : : : : : : : : : :11 Husker Offense Controlling Clock, Keeping Opponent O on Sideline The Nebraska offense has put together impressive numbers in recent weeks, and ranks fourth in the Big 12 in total offense in conference games only. Most impressive has been Nebraska s ability to control the clock and keep opposing offenses off the field. The Huskers easily rank first in the conference in Big 12 games in time of possession, averaging 35:54. Overall this season, Nebraska ranks second nationally in time of possession, averaging 33:11. Nebraska amassed 40:12 in time of possession against Texas Tech to keep the Red Raiders highpowered offense on the sideline. NU continued to control the clock at Iowa State, with a 37:11-22:49 advantage in time of possession. Against Baylor, the trend continued with Nebraska holding the ball for 38:37. Nebraska again controlled the clock against Kansas, holding the ball for 34:46 to keep KU s high-powered offense sidelined. 4Nebraska s 40:12 time of possession against Texas Tech was its highest possession time since having the ball for 40:38 in the season opener against Nevada last season. It also marked Nebraska s highest possession time on the road since at least 1980, and Nebraska s largest possession advantage against a conference opponent since holding the ball for 42:50 against Colorado in Nebraska has held the ball for 40 minutes or longer just four times since NU held the time of possession advantage in nine consecutive halves prior to the second half at Oklahoma. The Huskers have had at least 16:30 in time of possession in 10 of the past 11 halves and has held the TOP edge in 11 of the last 12 halves. 4Nebraska ran 241 combined plays against Texas Tech, Iowa State and Baylor, while those three opponents snapped the ball just 155 times. The Huskers have a 98-play advantage in six Big 12 games. 4Nebraska had nine scoring drives of 4:00 or longer in those three games, including four against Texas Tech, three at Iowa State and two against Baylor. 4The Huskers 15-play scoring drive that consumed 8:03 of the first half at Texas Tech marked the Huskers longest scoring drive of the season in terms of both time and plays. The Huskers last had a longer scoring drive in terms of plays against Oklahoma in The last time an NU scoring drive took longer than 8:03 was against Penn State in 2003, when the Huskers used 8:12 on a touchdown drive. 4The Texas Tech game marked the only time since 1980 Nebraska had three scoring drives in a game that each consumed at least 7:00. In fact, only once in the past 29 seasons has Nebraska had two 7:00-plus scoring drives in a game (2005 at Baylor). Scoring drive and time of possession statistics are sketchy prior to the 1980 season. 4Nebraska had not had three scoring drives of at least 10 plays in the same game since four 10-plus play drives in a win over Kansas State last season. 4NU s average scoring drive the past five weeks (26 total) has been 8.3 plays, 66.0 yards and 4:01. 4The 92-yard scoring drive in the first quarter against Iowa State was Nebraska s longest in distance since a 94-yard TD drive against Nevada in the 2007 season opener. 4Nebraska had four touchdown drives of 80 yards or longer at Oklahoma. Nebraska had seven drives of 80 yards or more in the first eight games. The Huskers added an 80-yard scoring drive against Kansas. 4An improved running game has helped Nebraska control the clock. In the season opener against Western Michigan, Nebraska s five touchdown drives covered an average of more than 65 yards, but it took the Huskers an average of just 4.4 plays and only 1:38 to find the end zone. Against the Broncos, four of NU s five touchdown drives took less than two minutes, including each of the final three TD drives, when Nebraska found the end zone in 47, 37 and 37 seconds, respectively. Husker Offense Productive in Red Zone Nebraska has made the most of its scoring opportunties throughout the season, most notably during Big 12 Conference play. On the year, Nebraska has converted 40-of-45 red-zone opportunities into scores, including 34 touchdowns and six field goals. The 89 percent efficiency mark ties for 15th nationally and is tied for third in the Big 12 Conference. The Huskers have been even more productive during conference action. Nebraska has traveled inside the 20-yard line 28 times in Big 12 play and put points on the board on 26 occasions. The 92.9 percent success rate ranks first in the Big 12, just ahead of Oklahoma and Texas Tech. Joe the Quarterback Senior quarterback Joe Ganz has been the man directing the Husker offense since late last season. Ganz started the final three games of 2007 and the Palos Heights, Ill., native has been outstanding since taking over the quarterback role. In his 13 career starts, Ganz has thrown for more than 4,200 yards while helping Nebraska average more than 38 points per game. Among his accomplishments over his first 13 career starts, Ganz has: 4 Thrown for 4,232 yards, a total that by itself would rank as the fifth-highest career passing total in school history. 4 Ganz threw for 3,366 yards in his first 10 career starts, the most passing yards in a 10-game stretch. That total easily eclipsed the previous mark of 2,412 yards set by Zac Taylor over the final five games of the 2005 season and the first five games of the 2006 campaign. 4 Thrown for 34 touchdowns, five more than Zac Taylor s school-record 26 touchdown strikes in 14 games in Accumulated a school-record eight 300-yard passing games, five more than previous record holder Zac Taylor totaled in 26 career starts. 8 Ganz Stacking up Well in Head-to-Head Matchups The Big 12 Conference has rightfully earned the reputation as the league with the best quarterbacks. For proof of this, one needs to look no further than the NCAA statistical rankings that show seven Big 12 quarterbacks ranked among the top 16 nationally in passing efficiency. While Joe Ganz is often overlooked among this group, his numbers stack up favorably with his more heralded peers. Ganz ranks 15th nationally in passing efficiency. Ganz has made nine career conference starts, and he has passed for more yards than the opposing quarterback eight times. OU s Sam Bradford was the first quarterback to out-yard Ganz, holding a passing edge. Ganz rebounded to throw for 324 yards against Kansas, besting the 304 yards by KU s Todd Reesing, the second consecutive year Ganz has out-yarded the Jayhawk quarterback. Ganz had his most accurate passing day at Texas Tech, hitting 36-of-44 passes for 349 yards, the ninth-best passing day in school history. 4The 36 completions at Texas Tech tied a Nebraska school record. Ganz s previous high in completions was 31 at Colorado last season. 4Ganz has connected on 164-of-229 passes in Big 12 play (71.6 percent) and his 69.4 overall completion percentage is well ahead of the NU record of 63.1 percent, set by Sam Keller last season. 4Ganz has 231 completions in 10 games, just six completions shy of Zac Taylor s school record of 237 completions in Ganz has 39 passes of 20 yards or more in 2008, and the Huskers have had at least seven receivers catch passes in all 10 games. Nebraska has completed passes to 18 receivers. 4Ganz had at least four touchdown passes in each of his first four starts with 19 total in the four-game period. His 19 TD passes were the most ever by a Nebraska quarterback in a four-game stretch. 4Ganz s 38 career touchdown passes are fourth on the Nebraska career list. He has averaged yards of total offense in his starts. Ganz Joins Rare Company Against Aggies Ganz joined a pair of Heisman Trophy winners in the Nebraska record books against New Mexico State. The senior scored touchdowns with his feet, arm and hands, achieving a feat duplicated at Nebraska by only 1972 Heisman winner Johnny Rodgers and 2001 Heisman winner Eric Crouch. In the second quarter, Ganz was on the receiving end of Marlon Lucky s third career touchdown pass and the first touchdown reception by a Nebraska quarterback in seven seasons. Later in the quarter, Ganz had a 33-yard touchdown run on an option keeper to give the Huskers a 21-0 edge. He completed football s version of the cycle with a 35-yard scoring strike to tight end Mike McNeill in the third quarter. Ironically, Lucky nearly duplicated Ganz s feat, needing only a TD reception to join Ganz in the elite company. Rodgers first accomplished the feat in the 1973 Orange Bowl against Notre Dame, while Crouch matched the trifecta against California in Ganz is also one of three players nationally to accomplish the feat in 2008, joining James Casey of Rice (vs. Tulsa) and Arkelon Hall of Memphis (vs. Louisville). Swift Moves to Top of Reception List; Closing in on Additional Records Wide receiver Nate Swift has been a key component in the Husker passing game since 2005, and he and fellow senior Todd Peterson have been Joe Ganz s favorite targets in Arguably Nebraska s most experienced player, Swift has played in 48 games with 26 career starts. Through 10 games, Swift leads the team with 54 catches for a team-high 801 yards, an average of 14.8 yards per catch. He also leads the team with eight touchdown receptions. The Hutchinson, Minn., native enjoyed a record-setting day in the Huskers win over Baylor. Swift hauled in a career-high 11 receptions for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns. In the process, Swift moved to the top of the Nebraska career receptions list. He now has 157 career catches, bettering the previous record of 143 catches by 1972 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Rodgers. Swift broke the record on a nine-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter to give NU a edge. He added a second TD in the fourth quarter to give the Huskers a cushion. The record-setting day against Baylor is just part of a great senior season for Swift who is often overshadowed in a conference full of standout receivers. 4Swift caught seven passes for 111 yards and a touchdown in Nebraska s victory over Kansas last weekend. The outing marked Swift s eighth career 100-yard game, second in school history behind Rodgers 10. Swift has four 100-yard games this season, including three of the past four weeks. 4The two touchdown catches against Baylor marked the fifth time in his career Swift has caught two touchdowns in a game. He has at least one touchdown each of the past four weeks and his eight TD catches this season are tied for third on the NU single-season list. Swift has 2,336 career receiving yards, trailing Rodgers by 143 yards with three games remaining. This year Swift became the first player in school history to catch 20 passes in four straight seasons. In addition to his offensive impact, Swift is Nebraska s primary punt returner. Against Virginia Tech, Swift had an 88-yard punt return for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. The duo has combined for double-figure catches six times in 2008, while totaling a combined 100 receiving yards or more nine times in 10 games. Peterson is second on the team with 50 receptions for 599 yards and two touchdowns. His 50 receptions are tied for fifth on the NU single-season chart, while his yardage total is just outside of the season top 10. The Grand Island, Neb., native has hauled in 35 receptions in six Big 12 games, including a careerhigh eight catches for 77 yards and a touchdown at Texas Tech. His touchdown tied the game at in the waning moments and forced overtime. Peterson has caught at least three passes in every game this season and has topped 50 receiving yards each of the past seven weeks. Like Swift, Peterson continues to shoot up the career receiving charts. His 96 career catches are fifth on that list, and his 1,415 yards rank sixth, just 41 yards from the No. 4 spot. The 6-4, 215-pound Peterson began his career on academic scholarship and as a walk-on football player, but was awarded a scholarship before the 2006 season. He is a three-time academic All-Big 12 pick and a strong contender for Academic All-America honors this fall. The Huskers have players from 25 states on their current roster. The NU roster is one of the most geographically diverse in the country. Just three schools have more states represented on their 2008 roster. Helu rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries at No. 4 Oklahoma, before enjoying another standout effort against the Jayahwks. Helu ran for 115 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries against KU, while adding career bests in the receiving department with eight receptions for 61 yards. Helu produced his touchdowns (10 and 52 yards) on consecutive Nebraska offensive plays in the second half, turning a NU deficit into a advantage. The back-to-back 100-yard rushing outings marked the first time a Husker back has accomplished that feat in conference play in two seasons. Brandon Jackson topped the century mark in consecutive games against Oklahoma State and Missouri in 2006, on his way to All-Big 12 honors. Helu leads Nebraska with 566 rushing yards this season, while averaging an impressive 6.9 yards per carry. If Helu were to finish the season averaging 6.9 yards per attempt, it would be the best per carry average by a Husker in seven seasons. In fact, no Husker back with 100 carries or more has finished a season averaging more than six yards per carry since Dan Alexander (6.3 ypg on 182 att.) and Correll Buckhalter (7.1 ypc on 106 att.) each topped that mark in Helu has added 20 receptions this season, one of six Huskers with at least 20 catches in Lucky Again Adding Dual-Threat Option to Husker Offense Senior I-back Marlon Lucky had one of the best seasons by a Nebraska running back in a decade in Lucky had 1,019 rushing yards, just the second 1,000-yard rushing season by a Husker I-back since He also caught a Nebraska record 75 passes for 705 yards, shattering the previous NU record by 20 catches. Lucky finished 31st nationally in all-purpose yards, averaging yards per game. His 1,743 all-purpose yards were seventh in NU history and the most by a Husker since Ahman Green in Lucky continues to make a dent in the NU record books in Against New Mexico State, Lucky recorded his eighth career 100-yard rushing game with 103 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries. On a career-long 58-yard run in the third quarter, Lucky became the 24th player in school history to surpass 2,000 career rushing yards. He moved into the top 20 with a 66-yard effort at Texas Tech, and is now 17th and within 353 yards of the top 10. The North Hollywood, Calif., native continues to be a dual threat. He has caught 22 passes for 275 yards and a touchdown in 2008, including a seven-catch, 80-yard effort at Texas Tech. He added a career-long 69-yard catch in the second half against Baylor, Nebraska s longest play from scrimmage this season. Lucky has 131 career catches to rank fourth on the NU career list and he has an opportunity to move to second on the list by season s end, trailing only teammate Nate Swift. This season Lucky has pushed his career all-purpose yardage total to 4,197 yards, good for fourth in NU history, trailing only Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Rodgers and Mike Rozier, along with Ahman Green. He is 83 yards from matching Green s total of 4,280 yards. Against Iowa State, Lucky rushed for a pair of touchdowns, including one on a direct snap. He has a a team-high seven rushing touchdowns in 2008, along with one receiving touchdown. Lucky has 22 career rushing touchdowns and four touchdown receptions. He has also thrown for four touchdowns on six career pass attempts. This season he has a 20-yard touchdown pass to Joe Ganz against New Mexico State and a four-yard TD pass to tight end Mike McNeill against Kansas. The pass to McNeill came after a direct snap to Lucky. Husker Defense Continuing to Strive for Play-Making Ability One of the hallmarks of Bo Pelini s defenses has been play-making ability. Nebraska has flashed the ability to be a disruptive defensive unit in 2008, but is looking to be much more disruptive in the final two games of the regular season. The Huskers have made progress in several areas as the season has progressed. 4Nebraska has 21 sacks in 10 games. Nebraska had a season-high five sacks for 42 yards in the victory over Kansas, the most sacks by Nebraska since posting five against Auburn in the 2007 Cotton Bowl. This season, Nebraska had four sacks against Western Michigan, three each against New Mexico State and Baylor, and two each against San Jose State, Virginia Tech and Iowa State. Nebraska has surpassed last season s sack total of 13. The Huskers had five games without a single sack in NU has 10 takeaways this season. Nebraska ended a 15-quarter drought without a takeaway with a pair of fumble recoveries in the final 16 minutes at Iowa State. Nebraska forced just one turnover in the final seven games of last season, and had just 11 takeaways the entire season. With only 10 takeaways, Nebraska ranks 109th nationally in turnover margin at -1.1 per game. 4Nebraska held Western Michigan to just eight yards rushing. The rushing total was the lowest by a Nebraska opponent since Maine had -6 yards rushing in the 2005 season opener. Nebraska is allowing rushing yards per game. 4Iowa State s 218 total yards were the fewest allowed by Nebraska in 19 games. Nebraska had not held an opponent to less than 300 total yards since Nevada in the 2007 season opener (185). The last time Nebraska allowed fewer yards in a Big 12 game was 212 in a 2005 win at Colorado. Page 11

11 Huskers Winning Third-Down Battle Nebraska has been effective on third down on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. That was most evident in the win over Baylor. Nebraska converted 11-of-17 third-down conversions on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, the Huskers shut out Baylor on third downs, as the Bears were 0-for-10 in that category. The third-down success against Baylor allowed Nebraska to run 30 more plays than the Bears and hold a 17-minute advantage in time of possession. In Big 12 games only, the Husker offense has converted 57.2 percent of its third-down attempts to rank third in the conference. Overall for the season, Nebraska has converted 48.5 percent to rank 14th nationally. Defensively, Nebraska is second in the league in third-down defense in Big 12 games, allowing opponents to convert 23-of-65 (35.4 percent). For the season, Nebraska opponents have converted 36.9 percent on third downs. Nebraska allowed Kansas to convert just 3-of-12 third downs last week. The game marked the first time Nebraska blanked an opponent after halftime since last year s opener vs. Nevada. 4Nebraska limited Iowa State to 113 passing yards, with a long pass play of 16 yards. The passing total was the lowest by a Husker opponent since Texas A&M threw for 100 yards in Lincoln last season. It marked the first time in 31 games since the Nicholls State game in 2006 that Nebraska has not allowed a pass of 20 yards or more. 4Baylor passed for 134 yards against Nebraska. The back-to-back games with less than 150 passing yards allowed is the first time a Nebraska defense has accomplished that feat since the Huskers held the first three opponents of 2007 to less than 150 yards each. Suh a Fixture in Opponent Backfields; Also Spending Time in NU Backfield Nebraska nose tackle Ndamukong Suh has received attention throughout his career for his unique name. This season it has been Suh s game that has received the majority of the attention. The junior from Portland, Ore., has made a strong case for first-team All-Big 12 honors with his outstanding play. Suh is coming off a dominant performance against Kansas when he recorded a career-high 12 tackles, including 2.5 sacks and four tackles for loss. He also contributed on offense, lining up at fullback in short-yardage packages. In the fourth quarter, Suh was on the receiving end of a twoyard touchdown pass to give Nebraska a edge. The performance by Suh earned him Big 12 Defensive Player-of-the-Week honors and a Helmet Sticker from ESPN. Suh had several impressive accomplishments against the Jayhawks. 4His 12 tackles were the most by a defensive lineman since Titus Adams had 12 tackles against Kansas State in The 2.5 sacks were a career-best for Suh and the most by a Husker in 70 games (Demorrio Williams, 3 vs. Utah State, 2003) 4The four tackles for loss were the most by a Husker this season and the most by an NU defender in 38 games (Bo Ruud, 5 vs. Kansas State, 2005). The performance against Kansas continued an outstanding season for Suh. He has a team-leading 60 tackles, including seven games with five or more tackles. Suh s 6.0 tackles per game leads all Big 12 defensive linemen. His average is 1.6 tackles more than teammate Pierre Allen and Missouri s Stryker Sulak who are tied for second at 4.4 tackles per game. Suh s 60 tackles are the most by an NU defensive lineman since Ryon Bingham had 67 tackles in A defensive lineman has not led Nebraska in tackles since middle guard John Bell had a teamhigh 96 tackles in His 4.5 sacks and 12 tackles for loss are also tied for the team lead. In addition to his ability to disrupt the line of scrimmage and his touchdown catch, Suh also produced a highlight reel play against San Jose State. Suh picked off a Spartan pass at the line of scrimmage and returned it 49 yards for a touchdown. Entire Defensive Front Producing Impressive 2008 Campaign While Ndamukong Suh may be providing the headlines from the defensive line, the production of the unit as a whole has been outstanding. Head Coach Bo Pelini has repeatedly referred to the unit as the strength of his defense, and the numbers back up that statement. 4Through 10 games, the Husker defensive line has produced 17 sacks, 43 tackles for loss, three interceptions and seven pass breakups. Last season, Nebraska s defensive front produced a total of 7.5 sacks and 36 tackles for loss. 4The defensive front produced all five sacks against Kansas. The five sacks were the most by the Nebraska defense since the 2007 Cotton Bowl against Auburn. 4In addition to Suh s interception, defensive end Zach Potter added an interception against the Spartans. That marked the first time NU defensive linemen had two picks in a game since Potter added his second interception of the season in the fourth quarter against Kansas, setting up the clinching touchdown. Potter has three career interceptions, tying the NU record for career interceptions by a defensive end (Bill Weber, , Willie Harper, ). 4Potter has 38 tackles, and is tied for Suh with a team-leading 12 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks. In addition to his key interception against Kansas, Potter tied his career high with six tackles, including 1.5 sacks and two tackles for loss. He also caused a fumble and had a hurry against the Jayhawks. 4Potter also has three blocked kicks this season, one off the Nebraska single-season record. He has five career blocked kicks. 4Senior defensive tackle Ty Steinkuhler had a career-high eight tackles against Western Michigan and has 37 total stops. He finished the 2007 season with 13 total tackles and had 40 career tackles entering Steinkuhler is tied for eighth in the Big 12 in tackles per game by defensive linemen with 3.7 stops per contest. 4Sophomore defensive end Pierre Allen had a career-high 10 tackles, including three tackles for loss against San Jose State after coming on for the injured Barry Turner. Allen has 44 tackles this season, including six tackles for loss and a pair of sacks. He is tied for second in the Big 12 among tackles by defensive linemen (4.4), trailing only Ndamukong Suh. 12 Huskers Again Complete Non-League Play With Winning Record Nebraska finished the non-conference portion of its 2008 schedule with a 3-1 record. The 2008 season marks the 27th straight season Nebraska has had a winning non-conference record, dating back to a 2-2 record in Since 1981, the Huskers have lost either one (11 times) or zero (16 times) non-conference games. The loss to Virginia Tech was just the Huskers third non-conference home loss since NU Continues Season-Opening Success Nebraska s victory over Western Michigan on Aug. 30 continued a long string of success in season openers. The win was the Huskers nationleading 23rd straight victory in a season opener, four better than Florida s 19 straight seasonopening victories. The Huskers have won each of their last 23 season openers by 10 or more points, and own an all-time record in season openers. Nebraska has scored 40 or more points in the season opener in 16 of the past 23 seasons. In that same period, the Huskers have limited the opposition to 14 points or less 15 times. A running back for the Huskers for his first three seasons at Nebraska, Glenn switched to linebacker during spring ball and quickly moved to the top of the depth chart at WILL linebacker. Western Michigan s offense got a first-hand look at Glenn s defensive ability in the opener. Glenn threw WMU quarterback Tim Hiller for a two-yard loss on the Broncos first offensive snap, setting the tone for a big night for the Texas native. Glenn finished with a team-high 12 tackles, including nine solo stops and three tackles for loss. He also caused a Western Michigan fumble and broke up three passes, just one PBU shy of the NU record for breakups by a linebacker. He backed his play up with another solid effort against San Jose State, registering five tackles, a tackle for loss and two quarterback hurries. Against Virginia Tech, Glenn notched a Nebraska season-high 14 tackles and added a quarterback hurry. He was injured early in the Missouri game and did not play at Texas Tech. He has returned to action the past four games. Glenn is third on the team with 51 tackles, including six tackles for loss and also has four pass breakups. Glenn battled injuries during his time at running back, but tallied 579 yards and 14 touchdowns on 143 career carries, before making the switch to defense. Henery Among Nation s Most Accurate Kickers Sophomore place-kicker Alex Henery tied a Memorial Stadium record against Western Michigan, as he booted four field goals in the Huskers win. The four field goals, each of which came from 44 yards, not only tied the Memorial Stadium record, but ranked second all-time at Nebraska for most field goals in a game. It also marked just the second time in school history that a kicker has connected on four field goals of 40 yards or more (NCAA record is 5). The strong performance to open 2008 came on the heels of Henery s perfect kicking season in A year ago, he made all eight of his field-goal attempts, while connecting on 45-of-45 PATs. Henery suffered his first career missed kick against New Mexico State, but hit on all five PATs against the Aggies and added a 19-yard field goal late in the contest. 4Henery nailed a career-long 48-yard field goal against Virginia Tech, bettering his 44-yarders in the opener. He also hit three PAT attempts against the Hokies. 4Henery hit on a 35-yard field goal against Kansas and is now 10-of-13 on the season and 18-of- 21 in his career. His 12 straight made field goals were the most ever to start a Nebraska career and fell just five shy of the NU school record for consecutive field goals made. 4After connecting on the first 77 PAT attempts of his career, including 32 in 2008, Henery missed his first career PAT in the fourth quarter against Baylor. He is 87-of-88 in his career. The high school soccer standout showed his athleticism against Kansas, running nine yards for a first down on a fake field goal in the fourth quarter. NU scored three players later to take a lead and put the game away. Special Teams Striving to Provide Big Plays In addition to Alex Henery s strong kicking effort, Nebraska has had several other outstanding efforts on special teams. 4Fellow sophomore place-kicker Adi Kunalic has booted 24 of 61 kickoffs for touchbacks in The 24 touchbacks are the sixth-most of any school in the country. Last year, Kunalic delivered 28 touchbacks in 66 attempts and his 42.4 percent touchback rate was the best of any kicker in the country. In his two-year career, Kunalic has produced touchbacks on 52 of 127 kickoffs (40.9 percent). 4Entering the Kansas State game, Nebraska kickers have made 125 of their last 129 kick attempts dating back to Henery s missed field goal against NMSU ended a streak of 87 consecutive made kicks by NU kickers. 4Sophomore Niles Paul provided a spark in Nebraska s win over San Jose State with an 85-yard kickoff return for a TD to give NU a lead early in the fourth quarter. Paul s kickoff return for a touchdown marked the second kickoff return for a score by Nebraska in its last four games (also Cortney Grixby vs. Kansas State in 2007). Before the two recent kickoff returns for touchdowns, Nebraska had not returned a kickoff for a touchdown since Paul s performance against San Jose State earned him Big 12 Special Teams Player-of-the-Week honors. Paul added a 69-yard kickoff return at Texas Tech. Paul also recovered a fourth-quarter Iowa State fumble on a punt return, setting up an NU touchdown. 4Senior Nate Swift returned a punt 88 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter against Virginia Tech. Swift s return was the fourth-longest in school history and the first punt return for a touchdown by Nebraska since Swift earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the Week for his performance. Nebraska ranks 10th nationally in punt returns at 15.4 yards per attempt. 4Senior Zach Potter blocked a field goal attempt against New Mexico State, then added a blocked PAT in overtime at Texas Tech and a blocked PAT at Oklahoma. 13 Strong Starts Important for Huskers Nebraska started fast in both halves in its first three games of 2008 under Head Coach Bo Pelini, before Virginia Tech and Missouri turned the tables on the Huskers. Nebraska outscored opponents 35-6 in the first quarter through three games and 24-7 in the third for a combined total of in the two quarters. Against Virginia Tech, Nebraska fell behind 9-7 after one quarter, and was outscored 10-7 in the third quarter. Missouri took a 14-7 lead after one period and put the game out of reach by holding a 21-0 third-quarter scoring edge against Nebraska. Oklahoma surged to a 35-0 edge after one period in a loss in Norman. For the season, NU has now been outscored in the opening quarter, and has a deficit in the third. Senior tight end/fullback Hunter Teafatiller and junior safety Matt O'Hanlon were placed on scholarship before the San Jose State game. Teafatiller has been a contributor at tight end each of the past four seasons, and doubles as a fullback this season. The Kingsburg, Calif., native has 12 career receptions, including four touchdown catches. He has also been a key part of Nebraska's special teams units. O'Hanlon was a strong contributor on special teams in 2006 and 2007, playing in 24 games. This season, he has moved to the top of the depth chart at safety and has started nine games. The Bellevue, Neb., native has 45 tackles to rank fourth on the team. The sellout streak dates back to Hall of Fame Coach Bob Devaney's first year in 1962 (vs. Missouri on Nov. 3). Notre Dame is second in all-time consecutive sellouts with 203, 93 fewer than Nebraska. The Huskers are during the 296 sellouts. The mark includes a record against ranked teams. While the Huskers were awarded the national title by the coaches in 1997, NU finished second to Michigan in the AP poll. In 1970, Nebraska was awarded the AP national title, but not the coaches (Texas was first, Ohio State second and NU third) as the final poll was released before the bowl games were played. In the coaches poll (since 1950), Nebraska is tied for fourth with Miami and Texas with four titles, behind Alabama and Oklahoma with six apiece, and USC with five. Former Huskers Making Mark in NFL Nebraska has a long-standing tradition of placing large numbers of players in the NFL. A total of 31 former Huskers were listed on NFL rosters as of Sept. 5. A full list of Huskers in the NFL is in the left margin. Since the start of Big 12 play in 1996, Nebraska has led all Big 12 schools with 59 players selected in the NFL Draft. No other conference school has had more than 46 players chosen in that period. This past season, three Huskers were selected in the NFL Draft, marking the 39th straight year NU has had three or more players selected in the draft. Conference Crowns Nebraska made its first appearance in the Big 12 Championship Game since 1999 with its 2006 trip to the league title game in Kansas City. The Huskers played in three of the first four Big 12 title games. Nebraska is one of three teams to capture two or more Big 12 titles in the first 11 years of the conference, joining Oklahoma with five and Texas with two. Huskers Continuing to Win in the Classroom Nebraska football carries the reputation of one of the nation s most successful programs on the field. Also synonymous with Cornhusker football is success in the classroom. Nation-Leading Total of Academic All-Americans The Nebraska football program has 96 all-time CoSIDA Academic All-Americans, a nationleading total. This fall, several Huskers are strong candidates to add to that list, including senior receiver Todd Peterson, senior punter Dan Titchener and senior linebacker Tyler Wortman. The Husker athletic program as a whole also leads the nation with 263 academic All-Americans across all teams and all sports. Three Huskers Earn Academic All-District Honors Three Nebraska seniors were named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District VII team on Nov. 6. Receiver Todd Peterson, linebacker Tyler Wortman and punter Dan Titchener were among the 24 players named to the all-district squad. Each of the three players advance to the ballot for Academic All-America. That team will be announced on Tuesday, Nov. 25. Nebraska Leads Big 12 in Exhausted Eligibility Graduation Rates; Rank High in GSR Scores The NCAA released Graduation Success Rate scores and Exhausted Eligibility Graduation rates on Oct. 14, and Nebraska once again fared extremely well. Nebraska was the Big 12 leader in exhausted eligibility rates for the sixth consecutive year. NU boasted an impressive exhausted eligibility rate of 93 percent. Nebraska s exhausted eligibility rate has increased from 87 to 93 percent in the past eight years and improved 21 percentage points since the inception of the exhausted eligibility rate in Nebraska s 93 percent exhausted eligibility rate ranks one percentage point higher than Texas Tech, which ranks second in the Big 12 Conference at 92 percent. The national average for exhausted eligibility is 86 percent for Division I schools. The Husker football team s GSR score ranked near the top of the Big 12 Conference. The Huskers 78 percent rate tied with Baylor for second in the Big 12, trailing only Texas Tech. Nebraska s institutional GSR score of 76 percent ranked fourth in the Big 12. The Graduation Success Rate is an NCAA measurement that, unlike the federally mandated graduation rates, includes transfer data in the calculation. This marks the third year the NCAA has released GSR rates Husker Seniors on Track for Degrees Senior offensive guard Mike Huff picked up his undergraduate degree in communication studies this past May and is playing the 2008 season as a graduate student. Senior guard Andy Christensen graduated in August and is also in graduate school. An additional 10 members of the 2008 senior class are expected to earn their degrees following the fall semester and 23 of the 25 members of Nebraska s senior class are expected to have earned their degrees by next May. Nebraska s 15 academic All-Big 12 selections were the third-most among conference schools and NU s 12 first-team selections were the secondhighest total in the league. The Nebraska honorees were led by junior linebacker Tyler Wortman who posted a perfect 4.0 grade-point average during the previous year. Among the 151 student-athletes honored by the Big 12, Wortman, a mechanical engineering major, was one of seven players recognized for carrying a perfect grade-point average. Also notable among Nebraska s first-team selections was tight end J.B. Phillips, who was a firstteam selection for the fourth consecutive year. Phillips graduated with his degree in marketing in December of 2006, and completed his master s degree in May of Among returning Huskers, Peterson is a three-time first-team selection, while Titchener, defensive end Zach Potter and safety Matt O Hanlon have each been honored twice. Other returning Huskers named to the first team included Wortman, receiver Wes Cammack, and offensive lineman Lydon Murtha. Huskers Boast Impressive Total on Big 12 Commissioner s Honor Roll The Nebraska football program had 42 players named to the Big 12 Commissioner s Spring Academic Honor Roll. The honor roll recognizes players who earned a 3.0 grade-point average or better in the previous semester. Husker freshmen Thomas Grove, Jay Martin and Patrick Witt each posted a perfect 4.0 GPA during the spring semester. In the fall semester, 39 Huskers were named to the honor roll. Husker seniors Peterson, Titchener and Wortman have each been named to the Big 12 Commissioner s Honor Roll all eight semesters. Peterson Honored with George Sullivan Scholarship The first George Finley Sullivan Endowed Scholarship was presented to senior receiver Todd Peterson before the Virginia Tech game. Sully served as Nebraska s Head Athletic Trainer from 1977 to 1995 and as an Assistant Athletic Trainer and Head Physical Therapist from 1953 to The scholarship was fully endowed in Sullivan s honor in 2008 by the Touchdown Club of Nebraska, Inc., and many former Husker student-athletes graciously contributed to the fund. The scholarship will be presented annually to a Nebraska varsity football student-athlete who has demonstrated a high level of athletic and academic achievement, with a strong commitment to community, effective leadership skills, a high degree of integrity, and commitment to excellence in all endeavors. Preference is given to student-athletes who intend to pursue a career in a health-related field. Peterson is a model student-athlete, carrying a grade-point average in nutrition, exercise and health science. He is a three-time first-team academic All-Big 12 selection and was honored eight times with a spot on the Big 12 Commissioner s Academic Honor Roll. A two-time selection to the Brook Berringer Citizenship Team, he has participated in extensive community service. Wortman Honored with Brook Berringer Scholarship Nebraska senior linebacker Tyler Wortman was presented the Brook Berringer Memorial Endowed Scholarship before the San Jose State game. The scholarship was endowed in the memory of former Nebraska quarterback Brook Berringer who died in a plane crash on April 18, Criteria for the Brook Berringer Scholarship includes the following: Must be a football student-athlete; must be involved in community service along with high ideals, excellent character and integrity. A native of Grand Island, Wortman fits the criteria of the Berringer Scholarship. He has worked his way up the depth chart to his current starting BUCK linebacker position. Off the field, Wortman excels in the classroom and in the community. He carries a cumulative grade-point average in mechanical engineering and was a first-team academic All-Big 12 selection in He is on track to earn his degree in May of He was also named to the Brook Berringer Citizenship Team this past spring for his outreach work. Wortman has volunteered at Elliott Elementary School, as well as being a part of Nebraska's regular team hospital visits. Jones Presented with Jake Young Memorial Scholarship Nebraska redshirt freshman offensive tackle Marcel Jones was presented with the Jake Young Memorial Endowed Scholarship before the Baylor game. The scholarship is presented to a varsity football student-athlete that demonstrates a high level of athletic and academic achievement and effective leadership skills. Jones is a native of Phoenix, Ariz., who started NU's first two games and is a key member of the NU offensive line. Jones had an outstanding first year on campus with a grade-piont average and was named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll each of his first two semesters. 35 Game 1 Nebraska 47, Western Michigan 24 SCORE BY QUARTERS FINAL Western Michigan Nebraska Lincoln (Aug. 30) --- Nebraska won its 23rd consecutive season-opening victory, giving Coach Bo Pelini a victory in his debut as NU s head coach. Quarterback Joe Ganz led a highoctane Nebraska offense throughout the night, producing his fourth consecutive 300-plus yard passing game in his fourth consecutive career start. Along with way, he became the first NU quarterback to throw for 300 or more yards four times in his career. Senior wide receiver Nate Swift hauled in five passes for 121 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Place-kicker Alex Henery shared the scoring load with four field goals of 44 yards each. Cody Glenn, who was making his first career appearance on defense, helped the Huskers hold the Broncos to just eight yards rushing on 25 carries. The Huskers improved to 2-0 on the season despite mustering just 315 yards against the Spartans. San Jose State s inspired defensive play kept their offense within striking distance into the fourth quarter, when Jared Strubeck kicked a 27-yard field goal with 12:17 left to pull within of the Huskers. 36 Game 3 Nebraska 38, New Mexico State 7 SCORE BY QUARTERS FINAL New Mexico State Nebraska Lincoln (Sept. 13) --- Joe Ganz and Marlon Lucky made history as the Nebraska football team cruised to a 38-7 win over New Mexico State. Ganz led the way by becoming just the third Nebraska player in history to score touchdowns by run, pass and catch in the same game. He joined Heisman Trophy winners Johnny Rodgers (1973 Orange Bowl vs. Notre Dame) and Eric Crouch (vs. California, 1999) in that prestigious group. Lucky also did plenty of damage, notching the eighth 100-yard rushing game of his career. He became the 24th running back in Nebraska history to cross the 2,000-yard mark in his career, as he reached the milestone on a career-long 58-yard run in the second half. Nebraska trailed late in the third quarter but rallied to cut the deficit to with more than seven minutes remaining, but the Huskers could get no closer. Quarterback Joe Ganz led the offense as he finished with 278 passing yards to earn as spot on the NU career top 10 chart. Todd Peterson and Mike McNeill each caught a touchdown pass and were two of three receivers with more than 50 yards on the night. Nate Swift was the third, and he added an electrifying 88-yard punt return for a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter to keep the Huskers within striking distance. The Huskers watched Heisman Trophy hopeful Chase Daniel lead Missouri on scoring drives on eight of its first nine possessions in the opening three quarters to take a commanding lead. In perhaps their best half of football of the season, the Huskers amassed 349 yards of total offense in the first half on their way to a 21-0 lead. Nebraska opened the scoring with Nate Swift s 19-yard reception from Joe Ganz with 5:27 left in the opening quarter. Swift, who had eight catches for 112 yards, became the second player in school history with more than 2,000 receiving yards, finishing the day with 2,021 career yards. (Nov. 1) --- No. 4 Oklahoma jumped out of the gates and never looked back, rolling up more than 500 yards of total offense while dominating the Cornhuskers in a Sooner victory. In the fourth quarter, Helu and Suh both shined. Helu rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown in the fourth quarter and finished with a game-high 115 yards rushing and a game-high eight catches. His 176 all-purpose yards were also a career high, fueled by his second straight 100-yard rushing game. Suh also added a touchdown in the fourth quarter when he lined up at fullback and caught his first career pass for a two-yard TD that put NU up by 10 points with less than six minutes remaining. Suh recorded a career-high 12 tackles, including four tackles for loss, 2.5 sacks and one quarterback hurry.
