After the Jackrabbits went 7-of-13 from three in the first half, the Ducks GAME NOTES limited SDSU to just two made threes in the second half. Satou Sabally had a career-high 27 points, including 10 straight points to open the game, while Sabrina Ionescu nearly posted another triple-double with 26 points, eight rebounds and nine assists. 3 SYRACUSE SHOCKER The No. 3 ranked Ducks pulled off a thrilling comeback win over No. 18 Syracuse on Nov. 10 at Matthew Knight Arena. Down six points with just over two minutes left to play, the Ducks hit backto-back-to-back three-pointers (two by Sabrina Ionescu and one from Erin Boley) to take a lead. ESPNW PRESEASON TOP-25 PLAYERS In ESPNW's preseason list of the top-25 players in the NCAA this season, both Ruthy Hebard and Sabrina Ionescu were ranked. Ionescu was picked No. 1 as ESPNW's preseason player of the year. Hebard was picked No. 10. TV SCHEDULE HEAVY ON DUCKS The reigning Pac-12 champion Ducks will play 19 games on television this season, with a league-high four on ESPN2 and 15 on Pac-12 Networks. The Ducks will play Michigan State (Dec. 9), Mississippi State (Dec. 18), Stanford (Feb. 10) and Oregon State (Feb. 18) on ESPN2. Only one Pac-12 game, Feb. 3 vs. Colorado, will not be on TV this year. PAC-12 PRESEASON POLL For the first time in program history, the Oregon women's basketball team has been picked to win the Pac-12 in the preseason coaches poll, the league announced at its annual media day. She was the MVP of the McDonald's All-America game after scoring 25 points. - Boley was the No. 5 ranked recruit in the ESPN HoopGurlz rankings and was named the Gatorade National HS Player of the Year. She was the East team MVP in the Jordan Brand All-America game after posting a double-double with 21 points and 15 rebounds. ATTENDANCE GAINS The Ducks had the biggest increase in average attendance in the NCAA last season. The sophomore's fourth assist gave her 279 on the season. Arizona's Brenda Pantoja previously held the record with 278 assists in Pantoja is currently a Pac-12 referee. Ionescu finished the season with 298 assists. HEBARD NCAA CONSECUTIVE FG RECORD - Going into the Ducks' Feb. 19, 2018 game against UCLA, Ruthy Hebard had already made an incredible 30 straight field goals, a new NCAA record. She hit her first three shots versus the Bruins to extend her record to 33, the most consecutive field goals in either men's or women's NCAA basketball. - The previous mark was 28 straight made shots, set by Southern Utah's Myndee Kay Larsen in GoDucks.com Facebook.com/OregonWBB 3

4 - The men's record was 30, set by Yale's Brandon Sherrod in Hebard made her last six shots at Washington on Feb. 9 and set a UO single-game record by going 12-for-12 at Washington State on Feb. 11. Hebard matched her own record in the the next game, when she went 12-for-12 again in a double-overtime win against USC on Feb. 16. She then started the game 3-for-3 against UCLA on Feb. 19 before missing a tough shot in the paint in the second quarter. HEBARD SETS UO FG% RECORD Ruthy Hebard went 12-for-12 from the floor against Washington State on Feb. 11 last season, setting a new UO single-game field goal percentage record. She did it again in the very next game, going 12- for-12 in a double-overtime win against USC on Feb. 16. The previous program record was a pair of 11-for-11 outings by Jillian Alleyne at Arizona on Jan. 21, 2014 and Lauri Landerholm at WSU on Jan. 22, NCAA CAREER TRIPLE-DOUBLES LEADERS # Name, School Years T-Ds 1. Ionescu was named a first team All-American by the WBCA, AP, USBWA, USA Today and ESPNW. She was also a Wooden Award All-American. Ionescu was Oregon's first first team All-America selection since Bev Smith (WBCA) in IONESCU PAC-12 TOURNAMENT MVP After leading the Ducks to their first ever Pac-12 Tournament title last season, sophomore Sabrina Ionescu was named tournament MVP. The guard scored a Pac-12 championship game record and career-high 36 points as the No. 1 seed Ducks defeated No. 2 seed Stanford, 77-57, on March 4 at KeyArena in Seattle. Ionescu tallied her 36 points on 14-of-24 shooting, including four three-pointers. Ionescu also had four rebounds, four assists and four steals. Ionescu led the Ducks, averaging 21.0 points over three games at the Pac-12 Tournament on 51.0 percent shooting. IONESCU PAC-12 PLAYER OF THE YEAR After leading the conference in both scoring and assists during the regular season, Sabrina Ionescu was named the Pac-12 player of the year. Ionescu is the third player in program history to be named Pac- 12 player of the year, joining Shaquala Williams, who won in , and Lauri Landerholm, who won in , the first year the Pac-12 handed out the award. Ionescu was the league's first sophomore to win player of the year since Stanford's Candice Wiggins did it in SABALLY PAC-12 FROSH OF THE YEAR After being the top scoring rookie in the Pac-12 last season, forward Satou Sabally was named the Pac-12 freshman of the year. Sabally is the second-straight conference freshman of the year for the Ducks, after Sabrina Ionescu won two seasons ago. Sabally is the third all-time at Oregon to win it, as Shaquala Williams also won in Sabally, a native of Berlin, Germany, is the third international player to be named Pac-12 freshman of the year, joining Washington State's Alke Dietel (Germany) and Oregon State's Tanja Kostic (Sweden). OREGON'S CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS - With a win over Arizona in the final game of the regular season last year, the Ducks clinched their first Pac-12 title since the season. The Ducks won the title outright, ahead of Stanford in second. - Oregon had only won two Pac-10/12 titles in program history prior to last season. The Ducks shared the title in when they went 15-3 in conference play. Oregon won an outright title a year later in when the Ducks went 14-4 in league games. - Prior to the Pac-10 adopting women's sports for the season, the Ducks won six league titles in the Northwest Basketball League and the NorPac Conference, including four straight from to The Ducks were 23-2 (the fewest losses in program history) in and went a perfect 11-0 in the NWBL. GRAVES' CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS - Graves has won 11 regular season league titles in his career, 10 at Gonzaga and one at Oregon. - Graves won 10 straight WCC regular season titles while at Gonzaga, stretching from Graves won his first league title at Gonzaga in his fifth season. 7 A PROVEN WINNER - HEAD COACH KELLY GRAVES Kelly Graves is in his fifth season at the helm of the Oregon women s basketball program. He was named the seventh head coach in program history on April 7, Graves signed a contract extension with the Ducks on April 6, 2017 which will keep him in Eugene through the campaign. Graves enters the season with a record of in his time with the Ducks and a overall head coaching mark over 25 seasons, which includes three years at Big Bend CC. He is all-time as a Div. I head coach (Saint Mary s, Gonzaga and Oregon). As a head coach, Graves has won 11 regular season conference championships and reached the NCAA Tournament 10 times. He boasts three career trips to the Elite Eight and two other Sweet 16 appearances. His teams have won 20-plus games in 11 of the last 12 seasons and 16 total times. Graves has coached seven All-Americans, including three-time selections Courtney Vandersloot (Gonzaga) and Jillian Alleyne (Oregon). The campaign will always be a special one, as Oregon won its third ever Pac-12 regular season championship and the first Pac-12 Tournament title in program history. Graves and the Ducks went a program-record 33-5 on the season, including a record 16-2 in league play. The Ducks clinched the title over Stanford by sweeping the Arizona schools on the road in the final weekend of the regular season. Oregon also topped Stanford, 77-57, in the tournament championship game at KeyArena in Seattle. Oregon earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament, hosted games in Eugene for the first time since 2000, and reached the Elite Eight for a second straight season before falling to eventual national champion and No. 1 seed Notre Dame in the Spokane regional final. Sophomores Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard each earned a multitude of awards at the conclusion of the season. Ionescu was a unanimous first team All-American and was named the Nancy Leiberman national point guard of the year. Vandersloot won the Lieberman award in 2011 under Graves. Hebard was an honorable mention All-American and was named the Katrina McClain national power forward of the year. After earning Pac-12 player of the year honors in the regular season, Ionescu was also named the Pac-12 Tournament MVP after scoring a championship game record 36 points. The Walnut Creek, Calif., native also broke the NCAA career triple-doubles record in The Ducks were, statistically, one of the best shooting teams in the nation in Oregon finished the season ranked fourth in the NCAA in field goal percentage (50.0), third in three-point percentage (40.1) and seventh in the country in scoring (82.4 points per game). Prior to the Ducks incredible season, was considered the best year in program history. Oregon not only reached the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2005, but Graves and the No. 11 seed Ducks shocked the college basketball world by reaching the program s first ever Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. With three true freshmen in the starting, the most in the tournament that year, the Ducks defeated No. 7 seed Temple, No. 2 seed Duke and No. 3 seed Maryland before falling to No. 1 seed UConn in the Bridgeport regional final. Graves became the only coach in NCAA history to take two double digit seeds (Gonzaga in 2011, Oregon in 2017) to the Elite Eight. The Ducks exciting tournament run was fueled by Graves work on the recruiting trail the year prior, as he signed the No. 3 ranked class in the nation, highlighted by USA Today national high school player of the year, Ionescu. The lead guard would go on to be named the ESPNW and USBWA national freshman of the year, in addition to all-pac-12 and Pac-12 freshman of the year. Oregon s offense under Graves was typically efficient in , ranking in the top-30 of the NCAA in field goal percentage (45.0), three-point percentage (39.2) and assists (16.5 assists per game). Graves guided the Ducks to a record and an appearance in the semifinals of the WNIT in Oregon s 24 wins was just one shy of the previous program record of 25, set in both and UO s 33 wins in is now the record. The Ducks began the season with a perfect 11-0 record, the second-best start in program history. The Ducks led the NCAA in three-point shooting at 42.1 percent and ranked sixth overall in field goal percentage, shooting 46.6 percent. At the end of the 2016 season, star forward Alleyne, a two-time third team All-American under Graves, was selected in the second round of the WNBA draft, the Ducks first player drafted since Graves went in his first season with the Ducks in , taking a team built to run-and-gun under former head coach Paul Westhead and instilling strong fundamentals and a tough defense-first philosophy. Oregon held their opponents under 70 points 14 times in after allowing an NCAA-worst 89.1 points per game in The new offense also got going as Graves led his Ducks to a win over No. 19 ranked Stanford in the regular season finale, UO s first win against the Cardinal since Alleyne was named a third team All-American and first team all-pac-12 following the season, making the jump from honorable mention in both as a sophomore. Graves coaching career started at Big Bend CC in Moses Lake, Wash., where he accepted an assistant coaching position on the men s team, but after the women s coach left, he moved over to lead the women s program instead. In three seasons ( through ) Gaves took a four-win team his first season to a record in his final year, the first 20-plus win year in program history. Graves was inducted into the Northwest Athletic Conference Hall of Fame in Graves left Big Bend CC to become an assistant coach under Jim Sollars at the University of Portland prior to the season. Following four years with the Pilots, Graves was named the head coach at Saint Mary s for the campaign. Graves advanced to his first NCAA Tournament with the Gaels during the season, his second of three seasons at Saint Mary s, and went to seven more over 14 seasons at Gonzaga. Graves left Saint Mary s for Gonzaga for the season. His first year with the Bulldogs, his team went 5-23, including 0-14 in WCC play. But by his third year at Gonzaga, the Bulldogs went overall and went to the WNIT the following season. Gonzaga won the first of 10 straight WCC titles under Graves during the campaign when his squad went 28-4 overall and 14-0 in league play. Including that year, Graves and Gonzaga lost just 12 total conference games over his final 10 years leading the program. advanced to the Sweet 16 for three straight years (2010, 2011, 2012) and went to the Elite 8 in Overall, Graves brought eight West Coast Conference Coach of the Year awards and a (.696) Div. I head coaching record to Eugene in 2014, with a record overall before joining the Ducks. Kelly Graves is a great guy and one of the best coaches in America, said UConn head coach Geno Auriemma when Graves was hired in Oregon is a place with tremendous women s basketball potential and Kelly is the perfect person to lead the Ducks to the next level. I won t be surprised when Oregon is competing for Pac-12 championships, and contending on a national level, in the near future. Graves added USA Basketball to his resume in the summer of 2012, becoming an assistant coach with the U18 women s basketball squad and helping the team to a gold medal at the 2012 FIBA Americas. He again coached for USA Basketball in the summer of As an assistant, he helped the USA U19 squad win the FIBA Women s World Championship. Graves and his wife Mary have three sons - Max (1995) Jackson (1997) and Will (2000). Max graduated from UO in 2017 and is now a high school teacher in Arizona. Jack is an assistant coach with the Lane CC women s basketball team and Will graduated from South Eugene HS in 2018 and is a freshman on the Lane CC men s basketball team. Gonzaga s first NCAA Tournament appearance came in , when the Bulldogs went and 13-1 in WCC, and after a WNIT bid in , Gonzaga advanced to six straight NCAA Tournaments.
