The Horned Frogs have at least a share in 16 conference titles in their history. A win would give TCU a 12-0 record and its second consecutive undefeated regular season. It would also be just the third unbeaten and untied regular season in TCU history. The Frogs 1938 national championship squad was 10-0 in the regular season before a 15-7 win over Carnegie Tech in the Sugar Bowl. TCU is looking to post the third 12-win campaign in its history, joining last year s team and its 1935 national champions who were 12-1 after a 3-2 Sugar Bowl win over LSU. A victory Saturday would be the 43rd for the Frogs seniors, making them the winningest class in school history. It would be the third-consecutive season that TCU saw its seniors graduate as the winningest class in program history. The Frogs are one of four remaining undefeated teams this season. TCU has reached 10 wins for the seventh time in the last nine years, including six seasons with at least 11 victories. TCU has outscored its seven MWC opponents , allowing just seven offensive touchdowns and 8.3 points per game. MWC teams have scored on 8-of-84 possessions. The Frogs are 8-1 in regular-season finales, including five straight wins, under head coach Gary Patterson. Over the last six seasons, TCU is 31-1 in day games and 57-4 in Saturday contests. THE WIN COLUMN The Frogs have a 24-game regular-season winning streak. TCU has won 25 of its last 26 overall games and is 37-3 in its last 40 contests. TCU has won its last 16 Mountain West Conference games and 24 of its last 25. Since the start of the 2008 season, TCU is The Frogs 34 wins trail only Boise State (36-1) and Alabama (35-4). Fifteen of TCU s last 18 victories have been by at least 27 points. Sixteen of the 18 wins are by 17 points or more. ROAD WARRIORS TCU s MWC record 10-game road winning streak is currently the second-longest in the nation (Boise State, 17). The Frogs have also won 12 of their last 13 road contests. In their last road game, TCU snapped Utah s MWC record 21-game home winning streak with a 47-7 victory in Salt Lake City (Nov. 6). CHECKING THE STATS TCU is No. 1 in the nation in scoring defense (10.9 points), total defense (223.2 yards), pass defense (134.6 yards) and fewest first downs allowed per game (11.6). The Frogs are second in opponent third-down conversions (23.4 percent) and fifth in run defense (88.6 yards). Offensively, TCU is second nationally in time of possession (34:53), fourth in third-down conversions (53.3 percent) and sixth in scoring (41.3 points) and first downs per game (25.9). The Frogs are ninth in rushing (258.3 yards) and total offense (490.5 yards). TCU is one of just two schools (Boise State) to rank in the top 10 in the nation in total offense, total defense, scoring offense and scoring defense. The Frogs have scored in all but one quarter this season. Andy Dalton matched a career high with four touchdown passes, two to Antoine Hicks in a 12-second span that put TCU up 30-0 early in the second quarter. Dalton had already run for a score. As the final seconds ticked off the clock, fans chanted "B-C-S! B-C-S!" They then stormed the field to celebrate, creating a sea of purple around a riser in the middle of the field where a celebratory cooler shower-drenched Patterson accepted the Mountain West Conference championship trophy. Dalton, a junior and third-year starter, was 15 of 24 for 228 yards while earning his 29th career victory, matching the school record set by "Slingin' Sammy" Baugh ( ). Hicks made a 20-yard TD catch immediately after New Mexico (1-11, 1-7) fumbled the kickoff following his 62-yard score when Dalton hit him in stride near the 30. Last season, the Frogs had just 13 seniors to tie for ninth fewest in the country. VERSUS THE AQ LEAGUES Dating back to 2002, the Frogs are 15-3 in their last 18 games against teams from conferences with automatic BCS bids. Included in the above total is a 6-2 record versus the Big 12 and a 4-0 mark against the Pac-10. Since Gary Patterson arrived at TCU as defensive coordinator in 1998, the Frogs are 19-8 versus teams from AQ leagues. The 19 wins trail only Navy (20) and Utah (20). Since 2003, TCU s 14 wins over teams from conferences with automatic BCS bids are behind just Navy (18) and Utah (17). Beginning with a season-opening victory at Oklahoma in 2005 and concluding with a win over Baylor in 2007, TCU put together five straight triumphs over Big 12 teams. At the time, that run of five straight victories was the second-longest current winning streak over Big 12 foes behind only Oklahoma. From , TCU was 5-1 in a 27-game stretch that included six games against Big 12 competition. TCU allowed an average of just 13.0 points to Big 12 opponents in that span. In a period of 15 games (Sept. 3, Sept. 16, 2006), TCU went 4-0 against the Big 12. Only Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Colorado won more games against Big 12 opponents during that time. 15 TCU at New Mexico Nov. 27, 2010 Albuquerque, N.M. 3 p.m. CST 15 FROG SPECIAL TEAMS NOTES A FIVE-PEAT TCU has had the first-team All-MWC return specialist each season it has been in the league (Cory Rodgers, 2005; Brian Bonner, ; Jeremy Kerley, ). THE HUMAN HIGHLIGHT FILM All-American Jeremy Kerley is the only player in the nation to rank in the top 14 in both punt returns (12.9 yards) and kickoff returns (28.0 yards). Kerley is tied for 11th in kickoff returns and is 14th in punt returns. CHASING HISTORY Kerley s 1,271 career punt return yards rank second all-time at both TCU (Lindy Berry, 1,372, ) and the MWC (Dexter Wynn, Colorado State, 1,329, ). Kerley totaled a season-best 195 return yards (172 kickoff, 23 punt) at SMU. MOMENTUM CHANGER Jeremy Kerley has had a flair for the dramatic in providing a big return when TCU needs it most. After SMU took a lead early in the third quarter, Kerley responded with a career-long 83-yard return on the ensuing kickoff. TCU scored three plays later to take the lead for good. With the Oregon State game tied at late in the first half, Kerley had a 34-yard punt return to the Beavers 23. The Frogs scored four plays later to take a halftime lead. THE RETURN Jeremy Kerley returned two punts for touchdowns last season. His 69-yard effort against Colorado State was the Top Play of the Day on ESPN s SportsCenter and the No. 8 play for the month of October. When asked post-game about Kerley, TCU head coach Gary Patterson said, He s a pretty amazing dude. He entered the game tied for the top spot in both categories. Also against Tennessee Tech, Evans tied a TCU single-game record for PATs made (eight) and attempted (nine). The made PATs mark had been accomplished six other times, including twice previously by Evans. The nine attempts equaled a mark by Ken Ozee against Utah State in After making his first five PATs against Tennessee Tech, Evans missed on a third-quarter try. It snapped his streak of 47 consecutive makes which placed third all-time at TCU.

Patterson s.774 winning percentage is second among TCU coaches with more than 20 games under their belt and third among active coaches (minimum 5 years) in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Since arriving at TCU as defensive coordinator in 1998, Patterson has guided the Frogs to five conference titles and 12 bowl games in 13 seasons. The 2009 campaign saw TCU make its first BCS appearance with a trip to the Fiesta Bowl.
