Carter Stadium. 4TCU is 26-8 in regular-season games following a loss under head coach Gary Patterson. 4Beginning with last year s contest at Kansas, the Horned Frogs are 4-1 in 11 a.m. games over the last two seasons. Saturday will mark TCU s third 11 a.m. kickoff in three home games this year. 4TCU is playing its second season in Amon G. Carter Stadium after its $164 million rebuild. In August 2013, Yahoo! Sports ranked Amon G. Carter Stadium as the best stadium in the Big 12. 4Even though Kansas has not played TCU at Amon G. Carter Stadium since 1996, the Jayhawks did play at TCU in 2005 when they faced Houston in the Fort Worth Bowl. SERIES NOTES 4TCU holds a edge over Kansas in a series that dates back to a 41-6 Horned Frog win in Fort Worth in TCU is versus the Jayhawks in Fort Worth and 10-6 in Lawrence. The schools played back-toback scoreless ties in the 1946 and 1947 seasons in Kansas City. 4Last year s 20-6 TCU victory at Kansas marked the Horned Frogs inaugural Big 12 game. 4Prior to last season, TCU and Kansas had not met on the gridiron since a KU victory in Lawrence in 1997, the year before Gary Patterson arrived at TCU as defensive coordinator. FAMILIAR FACES 4TCU linebackers coach DeMontie Cross served in the same capacity for Kansas last season. 4Kansas defensive line coach Buddy Wyatt was a four-year letterman ( ) for the Horned Frogs. 4TCU faced KU starting quarterback Jake Heaps in 2010 when he was at BYU. Andy Dalton threw four touchdown passes to lead the Horned Frogs to a 31-3 win over Heaps and the Cougars. KANSAS NATIVES 4TCU football coach Gary Patterson was born in Larned, Kan., and is a native of Rozel, Kan. 4Patterson went to Pawnee Heights High School in Rozel and then Dodge City Community College, before being a walk-on linebacker at Kansas State from He is a 1983 graduate of K-State. 4TCU has two players on its roster from Kansas: offensive guard Brady Foltz (Rose Hill) and quarterback Tyler Matthews (McPherson). DEFENDING ITS HOME 4TCU has won 30 of its last 35 home games and is under Gary Patterson at Amon G. Carter Stadium. 4In its last 24 home dates, TCU has allowed just 45 touchdowns and outscored its opponents 1, (an average margin of 42-16). 4The Horned Frogs have recorded seven shutouts in their past 41 home dates. 4Since 1999, TCU is in its last 82 home games. TCU NOTABLES 4 TCU has just 10 scholarship seniors on this year s roster. 4 Nearly 40 percent of players who have seen action for TCU this season are sophomores. 4 The Sagarin Ratings, utilized by the BCS, have TCU playing the nation s toughest schedule to date. 4 The Horned Frogs played three current top-20 teams (LSU, Texas Tech, Oklahoma) in their opening five games. Against both LSU and Oklahoma, TCU had the ball with an opportunity to take the lead in the fourth quarter. The Horned Frogs and Texas Tech were tied with less than four minutes to play. 4 TCU tops the Big 12 and is third nationally with its average of 3.6 sacks per game. 4Since 2012, TCU All-America cornerback Jason Verrett leads the nation in passes defended (31). 4TCU is the lone school in the nation to rank in the top five in kickoff return average (30.2 yards) and top 20 in punt returns (14.3 yards). 1 I 2013 TCU FOOTBALL

14 FROG TIDBITS HOME SWEET HOME 4The $164 million rebuild of Amon G. Carter Stadium, completed in 2012, was funded entirely by donor support and features a seating capacity of 45,000. 4The six Founders Club suites, located at midfield on the concourse level, were sold at $15 million each to provide lead gifts totaling $90 million. 4There are 25 suites, all sold, on the west side. One of those suites is located on the Champions level, next to the television booth. 4The press box has 132 seats to accommodate media. 4In August 2013, Yahoo! Sports ranked Amon G. Carter Stadium as the best stadium in the Big 12. HORNED FROGS FEVER 4TCU has sold out 14 of its last 16 dates, and 16 of the past 22, at Amon G.
