ABOUT THE GAME t No. 23 TCU makes its 2011 home debut Saturday when it hosts the University of Louisiana at Monroe at 1 p.m. in the first-ever meeting between the teams. t Saturday s game will also mark TCU s first contest in Amon G. Carter Stadium amidst its $143 million renovation. Capacity for the 2011 season is 32,000. After full completion of the renovation in time for the 2012 campaign, Amon G. Carter Stadium will seat 43,000 with the ability to expand to 50,000. Following this season, the east stands, opposite the press box, will be redone and have a double-deck appearance similar to the new north end zone. t TCU is playing its 81st season at Amon G. Carter Stadium. t Saturday begins a three-game homestand for TCU, marking the second straight year and third time in six seasons the Horned Frogs will have three consecutive home dates. Last season, TCU outscored Wyoming, BYU and Air Force by a combined margin during its three-game homestand. t TCU has won nine straight home openers under head coach Gary Patterson. In six of those victories, the Frogs allowed 13 points or less. TCU is 9-1 overall in home openers under Patterson. t TCU is facing a team from the Sun Belt Conference for the first time since a home victory over North Texas in t Since 2005, the Frogs are 34-1 in day games and 60-4 in Saturday contests. t Last week s trip to Air Force marked the only time TCU will leave the state of Texas in the opening five games of the season. t The 2011 campaign marks TCU s seventh and final season in the Mountain West before beginning BIG EAST Conference play in MILESTONE WATCH t TCU head coach Gary Patterson has 99 victories and is one shy of reaching the 100- win mark. t Patterson is also closing in on Dutch Meyer s all-time record for victories by a TCU head coach. Meyer was from , including leading the Frogs to national championships in 1935 and DEFENDING THEIR HOME t TCU has a school record 20-game home winning streak. t The streak is second all-time in Mountain West history, trailing only Utah (21, ). The Utes streak was snapped by TCU s 47-7 win last season. t TCU s 20 straight home wins rank third for the longest current streak in the nation (Oklahoma 37, Boise State 32). t Under Gary Patterson as head coach, the Frogs have a 51-6 home record. t Since 1999, TCU is 62-6 (.912) in its last 68 home games. t TCU hasn t lost a Saturday home game since the 2004 season finale against Tulane. t In their last 10 home dates, the Frogs have allowed just 13 touchdowns and outscored their opponents (an average margin of 45-11). t The Frogs have recorded five shutouts in their past 26 home dates. The Frogs record is 14 by Jeff Ballard against San Diego State in PACHALL AT BAYLOR t Casey Pachall was responsible for 34 points in his first career start, marking the fourth-best single-game total in TCU history.
