2 ANDY S SLAP SHOT Buffalo was the destination for the travel team last weekend. The Dare Devils played three games against very tough opponents. Game 1 against the Rochester Ice Cats was a 5-2 win, Game 2 against the Buffalo Sabre Thunder was a 4-3 win and the final game was a 5-4 win against the Albany Cougars. Scoring for the Dare Devils was Ciemiecki, Kientz, DePiero, Law, Michael Niemann, Steven Niemann, Griffin, Giger, and Glaab. Great defense was played by Ritter, Ostlund, Cicchino, Thomas and Shaw. Thanks to junior coach Tyler Finerty and his dad for making the trip. The players loved having you and want you to come to the next tournament! Special thanks to Coach Rich and the Avalanche players that skated with the Dare Devils. This year the weather cooperated and our families were seen all over the city enjoying various activities. Some stopped in Niagara Falls other went to the Hockey Hall of Fame and others met up with a revolutionary patriot! Coach Ritter had the honor to wear Darryl Shannon s NHL championship ring. Darryl visited with our players during the tournament. On Saturday night the gang went to the Bada Bing for some good food and merriment! Practice is canceled for Saturday November 12 th. On November 19 th practice times will change to 4:15 5:45 pm. Juniors will practice from 4:15-5:00 and seniors will practice from 5:00-5:45 pm. Please adjust your calendars to reflect the change in ice time. The Dare Devils are scheduled to play this Sunday in Brick against the Stars. The game is scheduled at 8:55 am at the Ocean Ice Palace, 197 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick- (732) We have only 5 players signed up. Please Coach Ritter at headcoach@njdaredevils.net if you can make the game. As most of you know the team awarded 36 varsity jackets to players who attended 20 practices/games and special events last season. The jackets were presented to the players in September. Unfortunately, some of the jackets came with the wrong size. When the store remade the jackets they did a patch job instead of having the jacket made as they were originally delivered

If you had a refitted jacket please get it back to the store or give it to me so I can take it down. I ve heard from approximately 10 players about their jackets being too tight. Please note that the jackets are supposed to stretch and may need to be broken in. With that said, if you re not happy with the fit, return it to the store. Please let me know so I can track all the changes. The holiday party is scheduled for December 17 th after practice. We ll schedule a 1 hour joint practice, with the party starting around 5:00. If you d like to help, please see Kathy Kientz at practice or her at kitkat @gmail.com. NLT is scheduled for November 12 & 19 at 12:30. Don t forget to sign up for the NY Raptors Thanksgiving tournament on November 26 th. The games usually start around 5:00 followed by pizza, etc. Please bring plates and napkins! LOL Picture day is scheduled for November 19 th before practice. Please have your player dressed in Red by 4:00. We have a joint practice that day with blessing bag assembly after practice. We ll get pizza. Team store is open. Check out the new items. Group night at the Rock is scheduled for January 26 th. The Devils are playing the Capitals. The team will pay for the player s ticket. All other tickets are your responsibility. Please Angie with the number of tickets you need. Andy
