ANDY S SLAP SHOT The Dare Devils along with other New Jersey ASHA teams and other special hockey groups were invited to the Prudential Center on Friday

Both had a great time meeting the former players and other special guests. At the event was former NHL star Willie O Ree.

2 ANDY S SLAP SHOT The Dare Devils along with other New Jersey ASHA teams and other special hockey groups were invited to the Prudential Center on Friday January 26 th for an afternoon of hockey drills at the Everyone Skates Event. Andrew Piccirillo and Matt Donnelly represented the Dare Devils at the event. Both had a great time meeting the former players and other special guests. At the event was former NHL star Willie O Ree. Willie is known as the NHL s Jackie Robinson as he was the first black NHL hockey player. Willie, age 82, was in fantastic shape and gave the players his words of wisdom prior to the clinic.

ANDY S SLAP SHOT Jim Bucknam, one of our long time Junior Coaches and founder of Bucky s Beanies was at the rink on Saturday selling his awarding winning winter hats.

3 ANDY S SLAP SHOT Jim Bucknam, one of our long time Junior Coaches and founder of Bucky s Beanies was at the rink on Saturday selling his awarding winning winter hats. Jim has been a big supporter of the Dare Devils donating all his proceeds from the sale of his original hats to our organization. If you re at the rink stop by and see Jim. You ll love his hats! We just booked four games against the East Coast Jumbos on March 24 th and 25 th in Waltham, MA. Each player will play at least 2 games. We will skate an A team and a B/C team. Also the annual Friendship Tournament in Rochester, NY is scheduled for April 7 th and 8 th. Look for the sign up sheets at practice. Level up training is scheduled for February 17 th at 12:30 Save the date - Our year end party is scheduled for April 15 th. More details to follow. Save the date - The 7 th annual Bruce Giger Memorial Golf Outing is scheduled for June 18 th at the Knoll Country Club in Parsippany. I m in the process of getting the raffle tickets and flyers printed. I will have more information in a few weeks. Andy

5 FROM JOHN AND MARTINE TORRIERO A support group for parents/guardians of adult special needs people has formed. It meets on the third Monday of each month at the JCC in Scotch Plains, NJ. The address is 1391 Martine Ave in Scotch Plains. (Scotch Plains is near Westfield, Route 22 and Exit 43 or 44 of Route 78.) The next meeting is Feb 19, (President's Day). We will discuss and share tips about all the paperwork and administrative tasks which special needs parents have to take care of. The leader is Laura Weitzman.
