3 WELCOME On behalf of Alberta Soccer I would like to welcome all Players, Coaches and Managers to the U15 & U17 Tier 1 to Nationals and U13 Tier 1 Provincial Championships. The dedication and perseverance that you have shown to get to this competition is commendable and you should all be proud of your accomplishments. The competition will allow players to showcase their skills with and against the best players and teams in the Province with the ultimate prize for the U15 and U17 teams to represent Alberta at the Canada Soccer National Championships in British Columbia or Quebec respectively. The competition will also allow coaches to test themselves against their peers in preparing and coaching their team to get the best out of individual players as they strive to get results to advance in the competition. If previous years are any indication we will see our fair share of goals, near misses, saves, outstanding performances, penalties, controversies and more throughout the weekend. Please enjoy yourself and I wish you all the very best. Yours in soccer, Shaun Lowther Executive Director Alberta Soccer Association 1
