Although the contest was tied at 5-5 after Alex Pulido's goal with 5:19 to play, the 49ers got a pair of late goals to seal the win. The Cardinal trailed 5-2 at halftime, but five unanswered goals from the Trojans in the third period sealed Stanford's fate, putting them in an inescapable 10-2 hole.
