1 TO: FROM: Wagon and Buggy Owners Bill Farmer, Chairman The 2016 San Angelo Stock Show and Rodeo is scheduled for February 05 February 21, It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 84 th Annual Rodeo Parade. The parade will be held on SATURDAY, February 6 th at 10:00 a.m. in downtown San Angelo and will once again be televised by KLST-TV and KSAN-TV. Please refer to the enclosed map. Wagons and buggies will be judged prior to the parade, and trophies will be given in various categories. Line up time for wagons and buggies are 9:00 a.m. Please be in line no later than 9:00 a.m. Please note line up for wagons and buggies has changed to a more suitable location. Line up will be at the corner of Concho and Irving, however, unloading will be at the same location. Judging will be on rigs, harnesses, drivers and animals. Deadline will be the first 100 entries or JANUARY 18, 2016, whichever comes first, so please fill out the enclosed forms and return to us as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: A policy regarding political entries has been established by the Board of Directors as follows: Political slogans and banners of any kind will not be permitted in the parade. Only elected officials invited by the Association will be allowed to participate as dignitaries in the parade. All drivers must have a valid driver s license in order to participate. For the safety of the children watching along the parade route: NOTHING MAY BE THROWN, HANDED OUT, SOLD, GIVEN AWAY OR OTHERWISE DISTRIBUTED FROM ANY PARADE ENTRY DURING THE PARADE OR ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE! ANYONE DISPLAYING THE AMERICAN FLAG MUST DO SO IN A RESPECTFUL MANNER AND MUST BE SURE IT IS SECURED AT ALL TIMES. THE COMMITTEE AND MANAGEMENT OF THE SAN ANGELO STOCK SHOW AND RODEO HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY ANY PERSON THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE RULES GIVEN IN THIS NOTICE AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARADE ROUTE.

4 WAGON & BUGGY LINE UP IN PLACE: 9:00 A.M. JUDGING: 9:00 A.M. START: 10:00 A.M. Lineup will be at the corner of Concho & Irving, however, unloading will be at the same location as in previous years. Wagons will enter off of Oakes Street on to Avenue B or Avenue C, just SOUTH of the river. Wagons will proceed EAST on Avenue B to Irving. Parking is available from Ave. A south to Washington Drive, including Fort Concho and the Paseo. IMPORTANT: Nothing may be passed out or thrown from any parade entry to children or fans watching the parade. ANYONE DISPLAYING THE AMERICAN FLAG MUST DO SO IN A RESPECTFUL MANNER AND MUST BE SURE IT IS SECURED AT ALL TIMES. THE COMMITTEE AND MANAGEMENT OF THE SAN ANGELO STOCK SHOW AND RODEO HAVE THE RIGHT TO DISQUALIFY ANY PERSON THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THE RULES GIVEN IN THIS NOTICE AND WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE PARADE ROUTE. PARADE ROUTE Begin at Irving and Concho; proceed East to Oakes, Left on Oakes to Twohig, Left on Twohig proceed to Chadbourne, Right on Chadbourne to College Street, Left on College to Irving, Left on Irving to Beauregard; Right on Beauregard to Randolph; Left on Randolph to River Drive and dismiss. We want everyone to have an opportunity to be included in the 1 hour time slot of televised air time, so please stay consistent with the flow/speed of the parade by staying 1 car length (or feet) behind the entry/float in front of you. WE WANT TO AVOID LARGE GAPS IN BETWEEN FLOATS.

RISKS, HAZARDS, AND DANGERS ASSOCIATED WITH PARADE PARTICIPATION: Parades involve inherent risks, hazards and conditions that may be dangerous to life, limb, and property. They can arise in an incalculable variety of unforeseeable or foreseeable ways which may include (as examples, but not necessarily as a complete list) the following: the presence and use of horses and other animals, motor vehicles, machinery, firearms, floats, baton/color guard twirling, wind, rain, hail, and other forces of the elements, other threats to life and limb, such as the possibility of slipping/falling, and complications associated with weather conditions and physical exertion (such as heat stroke, fainting, collapse, exhaustion or other more serious complications). In this regard, the undersigned hereby releases, waives, discharges not to sue and agrees to hold harmless the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo parade committee, all parade volunteers, employees and/or representatives of the San Angelo Stock Show & Rodeo Association.
