1 BREMER COUNTY 4-H HOTLINE Dear 4-H ers, Families and Friends HAPPY HOLIDAYS! This is my FAVORITE time of the year. I love all the lights, decorations, music, food, and most of all being around people that mean a lot to you! Thank you to all the leaders that attended the leaders training! It was a very successful evening and it was fun to learn more about each of you! We will be using a new online database to do your entries for FAIR THIS YEAR! Save some me for yourself and make room for less errors in you entries. NO MORE PAPER piled on your table! This new database is integrated with 4honline.com and you will need to access a separate FairEntry web page to sign up for fair. All livestock and non livestock entries need to be pre entered through this database. The Iowa State Fair 4 H Department is using the exact same program. You will s ll be required to mail in your entry fees. The database will be used at Fair during check in s and for entering show results. We are s ll in the process of se ng the database up and we are looking into training opportuni es for those interested. 3 BEEF WEIGH-IN County/State/Ak-sar-ben Saturday, December 20, 2014 Waverly Sale Barn 7:00 10:00 am 4 H & FFA members planning to exhibit market beef or heifers at the 2015 Bremer County Fair must have the animals weighed and ear tagged at this weigh in. Up to 6 head can be weighed per member. State Fair is $5.00/head; Ak sarben is $5.00/head must be paid at weigh in. Bremer County Born & Raised if you are going to exhibit an animal in the Bremer County Born & Raised class at the 2015 fair contact the Extension Office for a form that must be filled out and signed by the breeder/owner/seller and must be le at weigh in. 6 Bremer County Fair is Enter our 1st Annual Contest Try your hand at designing the 2015 Bremer County Fair T-shirt! The shirt color will be chocolate brown Winner will receive a t-shirt & 2 tickets to a Grandstand event of their choice at the 2015 Bremer County Fair! Finalist will be posted in the Hotline & will be notified by May 1st Theme: Artwork: Design: Submission: Diggin It at the Bremer County Fair Must include the theme, 4-H & FFA Emblem Must fit the theme and be appropriate On a plain white 8x10 sheet of paper Entry Form, with original artwork, is due by 1/12/15.
