Cattle entered in all Dairy Sections must be registered with their individual Herd Books. EXHIBITORS TAKE NOTE: MONEY TO BE SENT WITH ENTRIES, EXHIBITORS TO PROVIDE OWN STRAW Entries close: FRIDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER 2015 Late entries accepted, entry fee will be doubled. Exhibitors are to enter at Gate 6 Archer St. unload, and then exit via Gate 7. No vehicles to remain on grounds. Exhibitor parking is located opposite in Lisburn St. Please ensure Exhibitor wristbands are worn for admittance into showgrounds, otherwise full admission price will be charged upon entry. CATTTLE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS Exhibits must T.B Brucellosis, Johnes Disease and Notifiable Disease free. Enzootic Bovine Leucosis (EBL) Declared EBL Reactors can not be exhibited. Department of Agriculture PIC NUMBER of property on which cattle are at present depastured, must be included on entry form. FAILURE TO INCLUDE THE PIC NUMBER WILL RESULT IN ENTRY BEING REJECTED BY THE SOCIETY. ALL ANIMALS TO CARRY N.I.L.S TAGS. Age dates are from the July 1st. The following practices are strictly prohibited: The use of glue or any type of adhesive etc., excepting for the setting of hair and teat sealing. An operation or any kind of surgery materially altering the structure or the natural conformation of any part of the animal's body. The infusion or injection of any drugs or any other substance or the insertion of any object into the teats, blood vessels, muscles, under the skin or otherwise, of any animal to restrict the flow of milk or alter its natural physical attributes. The setting of the teats of an animal with any form of glue or other setting substance or any other action which alters the natural teat placement of an animal. Evidence of such practices renders an exhibit liable to instant disqualification and the Exhibitor or his agent liable to a suspension ranging from 5 years to lifetime. Procedures for the testing of prohibited substances will include "random" tests of exhibits. Should a positive to a prohibited substance or practice result any costs associated with the testing will be borne by the Exhibitor. Any animal infected with ringworm or warts shall be ineligible for exhibition. Evidence of possible hormone use renders an exhibit liable to instant disqualification. All cattle to be led by competent handlers with appropriate footwear. The conditions of entry as follows:- 1. The calves to be under 6 months of age. 2. Each competitor to parade his or her own calf and must have genuinely have looked after it. 3. The event is open to heifer and bull calves and ANY BREED OR CROSS and the judge to take into account the usual standards for the type of calf and not to be a competition for biggest or heaviest calf. 4. The aim is to reward the general husbandry and stockmanship rather than the finer points of the particular breed. 5. The competition will not be concerned with methods of feeding and "Commercialism" is to be avoided. 6 Waiver: Cattle VICTORIAN AGRICULTURAL SHOWS LIMITED Shepparton Agricultural Show Society Inc PARTICIPANT RISK ACKNOWLEDGMENT & WAIVER By signing the front of this form you are agreeing to the following: Victorian Agricultural Shows Ltd and the Shepparton Agricultural Show Society ( the Suppliers ) advise that participation in a competition or event at an agricultural show contains elements of risk, both obvious and inherent Competitions and events, including but not restricted to events involving chainsaws, hammers and other tools, axes, saws, whips, hay bales, stoves and other cooking implements and shears are dangerous recreational activities. 1. By signing this waiver I acknowledged that: 1.1 Participation in my chosen event is a hazardous activity and may result in injury, loss, damage or death to me; 1.2 Participation in the Event requires certain skills. I declare that I have sufficient skills to be able to safely and properly participate in the Event; 1.3 If the Event is held outdoors, there are risks to me as a result of the weather conditions, including either extreme hot or cold weather, rain or wind; 1.4 I am responsible for ensuring that I have and will wear equipment suitable for safely and properly participating in the Event; 1.5 I am responsible for the condition of any tools and equipment and ensuring that they are appropriate for the Event; and 1.6 I use the facilities of Shepparton Agricultural Show Society entirely at my own risk, as I find them and with the prior acceptance of the risk of possible danger to me. 2. I acknowledge and agree that my participation in the Event and associated activities is a danger and may have inherent risks as a result of which personal injury (and sometimes death) may occur and I accept and assume all such risks of personal injury or death in anyway whatsoever arising from these activities and hereby waive my individual right to sue the Suppliers for all claims I or my representatives may have for such personal injury or death against the Suppliers in any way whatsoever arising from or in connection with these activities. 4.
