3 VISION To establish a sustainable platform for identified young, highly talented athletes from disadvantaged communities, to excel and become fully integrated leaders of their communities and society as a whole. MISSION To provide corporate funding for tailored education, life cycle opportunities and for the underlying support structures. Our key focus is education!

5 Pic of boy SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY DEBENTURES is a recognized and registered non-profit organization which solely facilitates corporate funding to contribute to society via Corporate Social Investment, Socio-Economic Development and Enterprise Development mechanisms through the issuing of Social Responsibility Debenture Certificates. Debentures started in 2011 with nothing more than an idea, albeit a good one, to find and nurture some of SA`s finest young talent and with the aid of Corporate SA we have found and continue to find some outstanding talent amongst some of the poorest communities in the country. Our primary focus is always on a world-class education for the children

7 IN Together with the help of the various development teams and corporate donors Debentures has achieved to place 15 children into some of the best former Model-C schools as well as assisting one exceptional candidate with a scholarship to the Sharks Academy. We are also well on the way to start placing children into some wonderful schools in the Eastern Cape. Additionally also showcased the hosting talents of people such as Kaunda Ntunja, Gcobani Bobo, Jonathan Mokuena & Waylon Murray at our various fundraising events.

9 The Children... All of these children are already CHAMPIONS in their own right! All of them have overcome massive obstacles. Some are from poverty stricken homes, abusive pasts, parents who have tragically passed on... On more than one occasion during the talent ID processes the adults have broken down in tears with some of the stories about these kids backgrounds. A truly humbling experience! However, every one of these children have an unbelievable ability to leave you believing in hope, with a massive smile on your face and confidence in their futures. Thanks to all the participating schools!

10 Fundraising Mechanisms The organization facilitates the South African business sector the opportunity to channel their corporate responsibility funding into life cycle opportunities for our youth. We foster and nourish our relationships with each donor. We allow the business community the chance to make a very real, definite and positive change to our nation s social environment by creating exceptional young leaders and icon. Social Responsibility Debentures is a South African non-profit section 21 company. ALL DONATIONS TO OUR CHARITY QUALIFY IN TERMS OF SECTION 18a OF THE INCOME TAX ACT, 1962

11 Debenture Certificates Fundraising Debentures Fundraising Debentures are sold to any potential donor who would like to attend one of our fundraising events. All Debentures sold qualify for tax exemption and can in part qualify for SED contributions. Development Debentures Development Debentures are sold to any corporate concern or individual that would like to contribute directly to the charity for any of its Socio-Economic and Enterprise development programmes. The benefits include tax breaks and BBBEE points. These Debentures are specifically designed to each donor s specific needs.

13 The Road Ahead 2013 In the coming year Debentures aims to... - Consolidate our relationships - Offer assistance into other provinces - Identify more children (25+ boys & girls on bursaries) - Expand and explore new avenues of talent ID - Foster new relationships with corporate donors - Cement our footprint at major sporting and cultural events across South Africa. In exclusive cooperation with SARU and regional unions Debentures aims to... - Role out national capacitation programme and assist - Coaching & refereeing - Players & administrators - Community leagues

14 DEBENTURES VISION At least 100 children will be assisted by Debentures bursary programme. - Dedicated (mass participation) upliftment programmes in the children s communities - First crop of children will successfully pass Matric and receive university exemption passes. They will move seamlessly into an academy or tertiary education environment First Talented Individuals to sign their first professional contracts First tertiary graduates entering the workplace. Beyond 2020 Debentures envisions that the children will: be able to seize their opportunities in life! inspire others as leading examples for their communities! pass on the opportunity to a new generation!
