2 BACKGROUND & NEEDS Impact Statement We had athletes representing our team accomplish the following: * 3 Youth American Records * 3 National Champions * 1 Silver medal finisher at National Championships * 1 Athlete qualified for the United States Youth Pan American & World Championships Team * 1 Athlete qualified for the United States Junior Pan American & World Championships Team * 7 Athletes represented the Team Florida Elite at the Youth and Junior National Championships Goals for the upcoming year are to continue with the success we have already experienced while putting more kids on the youth international teams. It is very important to get young athletes on the international stage as soon as possible to light the fire beneath the dream of representing the United States in the Olympics one day! Needs Statement 1. Funding for travel - $10,000 annual2. Funding for facility rent - $5,000 annual3. Funding for apparel (uniform, training clothes, etc.) - $5,000 annual4. Funding for event hosting - $2,500 annual Background Statement Full Circle Performance Weightlifting Club was started as a result of a few talented young lifters that wanted to pursue Weightlifting beyond their high school season. In the short time after the high school weightlifting season, the athletes that had made this choice finished 5th and 1st at the USA Weightlifting Youth National Championships! As the number and quality of athletes who wanted to pursue the sport grew, it began to cost more to get the athletes around the country to the National Competitions and Camps that they had qualified for. After hearing about the time and money our coach, Tyler Peacock, was spending with these young athletes, local Senator Bill Galvano decided to step in and set up a n-profit organization that would allow the club to grow into something special. Only a short time later the results of our Weightlifting team have been outstanding. We are proud to say that at this point Full Circle Performance Weightlifting Club is home to 3 National Champions, One 2nd Place finish at Nationals, multiple State Records, and American Records in two different age categories! We are also proud to have put athletes on Youth 7 Junior Pan American & World Championship Teams that have represented the United States around the world! Statement from the Board Chair Growing up I took part in most of the typical team sports yet never fell in love with any of them. Outside of the general fun that goes along with playing sports and being athletic, I was never able to build a love for any of the sports I tried. It was not until my sophomore year of High School that I found the sport of weightlifting, which was my first time participating in an individual sport. After winning almost all of my competitions I quickly realized that I not only had talent for the sport, but also the love to pursue being great at it. It was this desire to be great that led me to a high level in the sport, as well as the career that I now pursue. I have a strong passion to develop this club into a World known place that cultivates the talent of our youth and creates a pathway to the Olympics via the sport of Weightlifting. While we are well on our way to doing this, we have faced the many obstacles that any new or small organization faces. Limited Capital, limited volunteer help, and limited equipment have all been challenges that we have faced and overcome. Because of our ability to overcome these things, we have achieved a very high level of success in a very short time. With National Champions, multiple American Records, and multiple athletes already competing internationally for the United States, we are well on our way to achieving our goals. We will continue to raise money to help us achieve the goals that we have made for ourselves. Our main fundraising effort is currently a campaign to have a booster club for our program. People can donate to be a booster member of the club which will allow them to know and watch our talented young athletes compete and achieve their dreams on and off the platform. 2

4 PROGRAMS Weightlifting Practice Description Weightlifting Practice is held 6 days per week at various times throughout the day. During Weightlifting Practice we cover all elements of physical training in order that the body may be fully developed to handle the requirements of the sport. Core stability, general fitness, and balance are all elements of fitness that must be obtained in order to thrive at the sport of Weightlifting. Athletes are trained in accordance to their own experience level and capability. Only at the point an athlete has mastered certain requirements, are they allowed to progress or advance to the next level of training. We have seen that normally within a 6-month time frame of beginning that the athlete will be able to qualify for their age appropriate National Championships.Once qualified the athletes have then opened up new avenues of success in life and in sport as they begin traveling to new cities and meeting new people. With a little more time in the program we have had athletes who have earned the opportunity to represent the United States internationally and travel around the world! Like any sport, the athletes that pursue greatness in weightlifting will be faced daily with physical and mental challenges that must be overcome. Dealing with these challenges on a daily basis helps to develop many important life skills such as work ethic, perseverance, character, self-confidence, goal setting, and many more. The sport naturally provides a great barometer of success. As we continue to attend competitions we get to very accurately measure the progress of each athlete in the program. In only two years in our program our very own Sha'la McMillan has achieved an extremely high level of success. A rising senior of Palmetto high school, Sha'la has accomplished the following: *15-under American Record Holder *17-under American Record Holder *2-time Youth National Champion *2-Time Youth World Team Member *9th place finish at 2015 Youth World Championships Comments Program Comments by Organization Our Weightlifting practice is a regularly scheduled event that allows at risk youth to participate in a sport that can provide a pathway to the Olympics! 4

Currently as a completely volunteer oriented board, there are inevitably many variables that make it difficult for us in respect to this.
