2 HALEY ANDERSON Free/IM 5-10 Freshman Granite Bay HS Granite Bay, CA THIS SEASON: Haley Anderson, a 2010 freshman, comes to USC as one of the top distance prep recruits in the country. Coming off an appearance at the 2009 World Championships, Anderson figures to compete at the highest NCAA levels in the 500y and 1650y free. She is also strong in the individual medley. HIGH SCHOOL: After graduating from Grange Bay (Calif.) High, she qualified for the 2009 World Championships by finishing second in the 800m free at the 2009 U.S. World Championships Trials. She was also 14th in the 400m free at the Trials and competed in the 400m IM and the 200m fly At the 2009 Worlds, Anderson finished one spot out of qualifying for the final, taking ninth in the 1500m free (16:20.62). She was also 28th in the 800m free (8:45.91) At the 2009 Junior Pan Pacs, she was first in the 800m and 1500m free At the 2008 Olympic Trials she was 17th in the 400m IM, 20th in the 400m free, 25th in the 800m free and also competed in the 200m fly She was first in the 800m free at the 2008 Speedo Junior Nationals. ANDERSON S PERSONAL RECORDS: 200-yard free 1: yard free 4: yard free 16: yard IM 4:21.01 PRESLEY BARD Free/Back/IM 5-9 Junior Napa HS / Indiana Napa, CA THIS SEASON: Presley Bard, a 2010 junior who transferred from Indiana to USC last season, is a top-flight backstroker who comes to USC as a 2008 Olympic Trials finalist and a three-time All-American She is a member of the 2009 U.S. National Team in the 100m back. 2009: Bard redshirted in after transferring from Indiana INDIANA: As a sophomore at Indiana in 2008, she earned All-American honors by finishing sixth in the 100y back at the NCAA Championships and helping the Hoosiers to the finals in the 200y and 400y medley relays She was second in the 100y back at the 2008 Big Ten Championships and anchored Indiana s first-place 200y medley relay After the season, she was fifth in the 200m back at the Olympic Trials As a freshman at the 2007 NCAA Championships, she was ninth in the 200y back. She was the 2007 Big Ten Freshman of the Year after winning conference titles in the 200y back and the 400y medley relay. HIGH SCHOOL: Bard was a four-time All-American for Napa (Calif.) High and set five school records with the Indians in her two years competing in high school. As a member of the Terrapins club team, she was a senior nationals qualifier in the back events in 2004, 2005 and CLUB/COACH: Terrapins/Ray Mitchell. HIGH SCHOOL: Blair prepped at Santa Barbara (Calif.) HIGH SCHOOL: Danny, a four-year high school All-American, prepped at Hart High in Newhall, Calif., where she was a CIF-SS champion in the 100y breast and a finalist in the 200y IM in both 2008 (Division II) and 2009 (Division I) She competed at the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, where she was 39th in the 100m breast and 19th in the 200m breast At the 2009 U.S. World Championship Trials, Danny was eighth in the B final of the 200m breast (2:35.13) and was 29th in the 100m breast (1:11.95) Member of the 2009 U.S. National Junior Team She was both the Newhall Signal s Swimmer of the Year and L.A. 3 ALEXIS DEMOND Diver 5-5 Senior Potomac, MD Winston Churchill HS THIS SEASON: Alexis DeMond, a 2010 senior, returns to her role as one of Troy s top divers. 2009: DeMond, as a 2009 junior, was USC s top diver on platform, finishing a career-best fifth (236.65) in the event at the 2009 Pac-10 Championships. She was also ninth on 1-meter (243.70) and 12th on 3-meter (245.60) At the 2009 NCAA Zone E Championships, DeMond was seventh on platform (421.80), another collegiate best for her. 2008: DeMond competed in all three diving events at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships as a sophomore, taking seventh on 1-meter (245.75), 16th on platform (185.65) and 19th on 3-meter (238.65) At the 2008 NCAA Zone E Championships, she was 33rd on 3-meter At the Trojan Invitational, DeMond was third on 1-meter, fourth on 3-meter She earned 2008 Pac-10 All-Academic honorable mention honors. 2007: DeMond, as a 2007 freshman was USC s top finisher in the springboard events at the 2007 Pac-10 Championships. She was seventh on 1-meter (249.10) and 12th on 3-meter (228.85) At the Trojan Diving Invitational, she was sixth on 3-meter. DeMond also saw some dual-meet action She missed two months of action recovering from thumb surgery to repair an injury suffered early in the season. She was a three-time prep All American from She won the Washington Metropolitan Swimming and Diving Championships in both her junior and senior seasons and the Montgomery County Diving Championships as a senior She placed third at the U.S. Senior Nationals on 10-meter synchro platform and was a semifinalist on platform at the 2006 U.S. Open. PERSONAL: She was born on May 27, 1988, in Vancouver, Canada. She is a communication major. LYNDSAY DePAUL Fly/IM 5-6 Junior Villa Park HS / UC Irvine Orange, CA THIS SEASON: Lyndsay DePaul, a 2010 junior who transferred to USC from UC Irvine in 2009, is a U.S. National Team member and an NCAA Championships point scorer who will further strengthen USC s fly and medley events 2009: DePaul redshirted the 2009 season after transferring to USC She represented the U.S. at the 2009 World University Games, where she won silver in the 400m IM and the 200m fly. UC IRVINE: As a 2008 sophomore at UC Irvine, she was a consolation finalist in the 400y IM at the NCAA Championships At the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials, she reached the final of the 200m fly, finishing seventh (Trojan teammate Tanya Krisman was fifth in that race) and she just missed making the 400m IM final, finishing ninth. She also competed in the 100m fly, 200m IM and 400m free She was the 2007 Big West Athlete of the Year as a freshman and was named a Mid-Major All-American by CollegeSwimming.com She was the 2007 Big West champion in the 200y and 400y IM, the 200y fly and the 200y medley relay. 4 ELLIE DORAN Free/IM 5-4 Junior Tucson, AZ Catalina Foothills THIS SEASON: Ellie Doran, a 2010 junior, continues to make big strides as a distance swimmer and will look to build on her NCAA Championships debut in : As a 2009 sophomore, Doran competed in her first NCAA Championships. She was 41st in the 1650y free (16:40.55) and 63rd in the 500y free (4:54.06) and also raced in the 800y free relay At the 2009 Pac-10 Championships, she anchored USC s school-record-setting 800y free relay, which finished third in 7: Individually, she was 10th in both the 500y free (4:46.88) and the 1650y free (16:29.21) and was 20th in the 200y free (1:48.34). All were career-best efforts. 2008: Doran competed in three events at the 2008 Pac-10 Championships, taking 18th in the 1650y free (16:57.01), 28th in the 200y free (1:51.19) and 35th in the 500y free (5:02.70). HIGH SCHOOL: Doran prepped at Catalina Foothills in Tucson, Ariz., where she was an eight-time prep All-American... She holds the Arizona 4A prep state records in the 500y free (previously held by former Trojan Kalyn Keller)... She is her school s record holder in the 500y free, 200y IM and 400y free relay. PERSONAL: She was born on April 10, DORAN S PERSONAL RECORDS: 100-yard free yard free 1: yard free 4: yard free 9: yard free 16: yard IM 2: yard IM 4: yard fly 57.5 KRISSY FORELLI Free 5-10 Senior Gig Harbor, WA Gig Harbos HS THIS SEASON: Krissy Forelli, a 2010 senior co-captain, returns for her final year as a solid middle distance and distance freestyler for the Trojans who is also strong in the 800y free relay. 2009: Forelli raced in her first NCAA Championships as part of Troy s 800y free relay, which finished 15th At the 2009 Pac-10 Championships, she was part of USC s school-record-setting 800y free relay, which finished third in 7: Individually, she was 20th in the 500y free (4:51.09), 33rd in the 200y free (1:50.56) and 38th in the 100y free (51.55). 2008: Forelli did not compete for the Trojans in : Forelli competed in three events at the 2007 Pac-10 Championships as a freshman, taking 27th in the 500y free (4:57.27), 34th in the 200y free (1:51.58) and 39th in the 100y free (53.54). HIGH SCHOOL: Forelli was a two-time All-American (2002, 2004) and four-time Washington state champion in 2004 while at Gig Harbor (Wash.) High... She competed in the 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials at age 16, finishing 54th in the 200m free... At the 2004 U.S. Spring Nationals, Forelli was 41st in the 100m free and 46th in the 200m free... 5 MICHELA FOSSATI-BELLANI Diver 5-5 Sophomore Palo Alto, CA Palo Alto HS THIS SEASON: Michela Fossati-Bellani, a 2010 sophomore who is an Italian national team member, is a talented diver who can provide dual-meet scoring and solid contributions at the Pac-10 level or beyond. 2009: As a 2009 freshman, Fossati-Bellani earned a spot in the 2009 Zone E Championships, where she was 12th on 1-meter (467.90) and 15th on 3-meter (497.15) At the 2009 Pac-10 Championships, she was ninth on 3-meter (250.65), 10th on 1-meter (242.95) and 11th on platform (193.80). HIGH SCHOOL: Fossati-Bellani prepped at Palo Alto (Calif.) High, where she where was a two-time prep All-American as a junior and senior and a two-time CIF Central Coast Section diving champion She was a Junior Olympic Italian and National Italian team member and a four-time Italian national champion... She has competed extensively internationally, finishing fifth at both the 2007 and 2008 Junior European Championships. She also competed at the 2004 and 2006 Junior World Championships and qualified for the 2008 Junior Worlds. CLUB: Stanford Dive Club. PERSONAL: She was born on July 3, 1990 She won the Presidential award as a freshman in high school and was an Honor Student throughout high school. (2:03.81), 28th in the 100y back (57.91) and 46th in the 200y free (1:53.55) at the Pac-10 Championships She earned 2008 Pac-10 All- Academic honorable mention honors Hegazy was among 14 Trojan student-athletes whose work was selected for the Louis Galen Annual Artletics Exhibition that was on display in the spring of 2008 at the Galen Center Arena. The third-annual exhibition included artwork in painting, drawing, design, ceramics, film and digital photography by intercollegiate student-athletes in USC Roski School of Fine Arts courses. 2007: Hegazy was 13th in the 200y back (2:00.32), 19th in the 100y back (56.13) and 39th in the 500y free (5:02.94) as a freshman at the 2007 Pac-10 Championships. Both of the aforementioned backstroke times were personal bests. She began competing for USC in January of 2007 as a spring semester enrollee and quickly earned a role as a dualmeet contributor. HIGH SCHOOL: Hegazy graduated from American City College High in Cairo. She also attended Sunny Hills High in Rolling Hills for one year. EGYPT: A national and Arab record holder in the 50m, 100m and 200m back, Hegazy joined the Egyptian National swimming team in 2002 and has competed internationally for Egypt since Most recently, she raced for Egypt at the African Swimming Championships in September of 2006, winning silver medals in the 50m and 100m back and bronze medals in the 200m back and 400y medley relay... At the 2005 Mediterranean Games, she was ninth in the 100m back and 10th in the 200m back... At the 2004 Arab Olympic Games, she won gold medals in the 50m, 100m and 200m back and the 400m medley relay... At the 2003 Junior African Championships, she won gold medals in the 50m and 100m back. HEGAZY S PERSONAL RECORDS: 100-yard back yard back 1:53.27 # 200-yard free 1: yard free 4: meter back 1: meter back 2:20.92 # USC record DINA HEGAZY Back 6-0 Senior Giza, Egypt American City College HS THIS SEASON: A talented backstroker with international experience, co-captain Dina Hegazy -- from Egypt -- blossomed as a junior and has worked hard to repeat as an NCAA Championship qualifier as a 2010 senior. 2009: Hegazy recorded her top year as a Trojan as a 2009 junior, setting the school record in the 200y back and reaching her first NCAA Championship In her NCAA debut, Hegazy just missed earning a consolation final slot in the 200y bac2k, finishing 19th (1:54.63). She was also 46th in the 100y back (54.43)... At the 2009 Pac-10s, she finished a career-best third in the 200y back in 1: It was in prelims, however, when she clocked a 1:53.27 to break Lindsay Benko s 12-year old school record (1:54.42). Hegazy was also 10th in the 100y back (53.89) and 26th in the 100y free (50.59)... Early in the season, she set the USC pool record in the 200y back (1:56.64)... She represented Egypt at the 2009 World Championships in the 100m back, finishing 40th... An accomplished artist, Hegazy s work was featured for the second consecutive year in the Louis Galen Annual Artletics Exhibition at USC s Galen Center Arena. Her work was also selected for an NCAA Champions Magazine online story that featured art by NCAA student-athletes throughout the country. The exhibit was also displayed in Indianapolis (home to the NCAA) in festivities leading up to the Indy She also earned 2009 Pac-10 All-Academic second team. 2008: As a 2008 sophomore, Hegazy was 25th in the 200y back USC Swimming and Diving

6 KATINKA HOSSZU IM/Free 5-7 Sophomore Bafa, Hungary III. Bela Gimnazium HS THIS SEASON: Olympian, World Championship gold medalist and All- American Katinka Hosszu, a 2010 sophomore who is another in a long line of talented Trojan swimmers who hail from Hungary, is one of the most versatile swimmers in the NCAA and a threat to win any race she s in. She is exceptionally strong in both IM events as well as in a variety of freestyle events and the 200y fly. She holds USC records in the 200y free, 400y IM and the 400y medley and 800y free relays. 2009: Hosszu became an immediate force for the Trojans and one of the top swimmers in the Pac-10 and the NCAAs as a 2009 freshman At the 2009 NCAA Championships, she was a three-time finalist and a four-time All-American after finishing eighth in the 500y free (4:40.20) second in the 400y IM (4:01.49, USC record) and third in the 200y fly (1:53.45) while helping USC to third in the 400y medley relay (prelim time of 3:30.59 was a school record) At the 2009 Pac-10 Championships, she posted three top 3 finishes, was part of one relay title and set two individual records and two relay records... She was second in the 400y IM (4:03.60, a then-school record) and was third in both the 500y free (4:39.34) and the 200y fly (1:54.01). She also led off USC s record-setting 800y free relay (7:07.59), her first 200 yards (1:45.22) of the race eclipsing a 25-year-old school record... Swimming the fly leg, she helped USC s 400y medley relay capture a Pac-10 Championship in a then-school-record 3:31.75 Competing for Hungary at the 2009 World Championships, Hosszu won a gold medal in the 400m IM (4:30.31) and earned bronze medals in the 200m IM (2:07.46)and the 200m fly (2:04.28). Both times in the IM were the third-fastest in history. Hosszu also swam the anchor leg of Hungary s 4x200m free relay in the final, which finished sixth Hosszu was named Hungary s 2009 Female Athlete of the Year. HIGH SCHOOL: An eight-year Hungarian National team member, Hosszu raced in two events at the 2008 Olympics, taking 12th in the 400m IM and 17th in the 200m IM. She was also a 2004 Olympian, finishing 31st in the 200m free She was a silver medalist in the 400m IM (4:37.43) at the 2008 European Championships and took sixth in the 200m IM (2:15.23) At the 2007 European Short Course World Championships, she was fourth in the 200m IM (2:09.99) and fifth in the 400m IM (4:32.10) At the 2007 FINA World Championships, she was 11th in the 400m IM (4:46.19) and 12th in the 200m IM (2:16.12) At the 2006 European Short Course World Championships, she was fourth in the 400m IM (4:33.65) and sixth in the 200m IM (2:12.77) At the 2006 European World Championships, she was ninth in the 200m IM (2:16.07) At the 2005 European Short Course World Championships, she was fifth in the 400m IM (4:37.06) and eighth in the 200m IM (2:17.10) At the 2004 European Short Course World Championships, she was bronze medalist in the 400m IM (4:35.41) and was sixth in the 2: CLUB: Bafai SVSC. 7 VICTORIA ISHIMATSU Diver 5-5 Sophomore Seal Beach, CA Halstrom High Women of Troy Profiles THIS SEASON: An All-American and Pac-10 title winner as a freshman, Victoria Ishimatsu returns for her 2010 sophomore year as one of the Pac-10 s top divers who will continue to provide USC with strong scoring dual-meet and postseason scoring. 2009: As a 2009 freshman, Ishimatsu earned All-American honors on the 1-meter springboard at the NCAA Championships, finishing fifth (304.45). She also scored points on platform with a 12th-place mark (260.95) and was 25th on 3-meter (272.25) At the Pac-10 Championships, Ishimatsu won a Pac-10 title on 3-meter (327.70) -- taking the lead on her final dive. She was also second on 1-meter (313.90) and seventh on platform (223.00). USC s most consistent diver all season, she carried that over to the 2009 Zone E Championships, where she qualified for the NCAA Championships on the first day with a third on 3-meter (583.05). She then took second on 1-meter (572.10) and was third on platform (456.95) During the summer competition, she was fourth on 3-meter synchro at the 2009 FINA Canada Cup. 2008: Ishimatsu took a year off before entering college to prepare for the 2008 U.S. Olympic Trials and trained at the U.S. Diving National Training Center At the Trials, she was sixth on 3-meter, qualifying for the U.S. Diving Olympic Selection Camp. She was up for consideration for the second U.S. slot on 3-meter for the Olympics, but was not selected At the 2008 U.S. Senior Nationals, she won the 1-meter springboard and was eighth on 3-meter She also won the 1- and 3-meter springboard at the 2008 USA Junior Nationals. HIGH SCHOOL: Ishimatsu graduated from Halstrom High in Oceanside, Calif., in She won the 1-meter title and was second on 3-meter at the 2007 Junior Pan Am Games and won the 1- and 3-meter titles at the 2007 U.S. Junior Nationals. She was also second on 1-meter and eighth on 3-meter at the 2007 U.S. Senior Nationals At the 2006 Junior World Championships, she was 13th on 1-meter. At the 2006 J.O. Summer Nationals, she was second on 1-meter and fourth on 3-meter At the 2005 J.O. In the months prior to enrolling at USC, she represented the U.S. at the 2009 World Championships in Rome, where she finished fifth on 3-meter and sixth on 3-meter synchro.
