2 Suitability of products for oil firing installations in areas subject to flooding and high-risk areas Areas subject to flooding According to Section 76 (1) WHG [German Water Management Law] areas subject to fl ooding are areas situated between bodies of water above ground and dykes or high banks and other areas that are fl ooded or where water fl ows through in case of fl ooding or that are used for fl ooding relief or water retention. High-risk areas According to Section 73 (1) WHG high risk areas are areas with a signifi cant risk of fl ooding based on the relevant authorities assessment. Products The suitable products in the following list were tested on the basis of E DIN EN :2009 Annex D.7. According to this, products that are intended to be subjected to the stress of fl ooding or high tides must be designed to withstand at least an external pressure of 1 bar. When the product is installed, no fuel may leak into the oil fi ring installation. Thereby the products meet also the requirements on fi ttings in areas subject to fl ooding according to German DWA-A 791. The screw cap may not be loosened in order to attach a padlock. Designs with a cardboard disc are not suitable. The vent cap must be situated above the max. possible high water line. The sealing at the screw-in thread must be executed properly.
