2 DDCouplings For IBC-containers General info The Mann-Tek DDCouplings for IBC-containers, with a non projecting piston spindle, suitable for direct mounting on ballvalves etc. (also available with normal outstick). The construction has all moving parts pivoted in selfl ubricated bearings, the coupling function have been optimated for non lubricating medias. Sizes: DN 40 (1½ ), DN 50 (2 ), Diam 70 mm couplings for IBC-containers. Operation The couplings are operated by connecting the Hose unit onto the Tank unit and rotating it clockwise. This action secures the units together and forms a gas-tight and leak-proof seal. At the same time, the internal valves opens, allowing the product to fl ow through. Each unit contains a fail safe springloaded valve seating on a tapered seat. The valve is controlled by the action of coupling and uncoupling the base unit. Sealing material: Viton (Standard), Kalrez, CHEMRAZ, etc. Options Pressure relief valve This system dissipates trapped fl uid pressure into Hose coupler without spillage, to allow easy connection. Reducer Allows Tank units to be mounted directly on ballvalves. Connections: Female S60X6 Buttress 2 BSP/NPT. Material: Polypropylene, other material on request. Locked piston guide Locked piston guide to prevent problems with special medias with extreme low viscosity. Material certificate 3.1 B on request. Must be specifi ed with order.

3 Standards All units in the DDCoupling range are manufactured to accept the international standards: Socket connection: NATO STANAG 3756, AUTOFINA SGM 2049.TUY.C. Threads: BSP=ISO 228, NPT=B and S60X6 Buttress=DIN 513. Spillage on disconnection The new, more accurate, test method used: Connect and disconnect with different hose and tank unit, at least 10 times each. Between every disconnecting and connecting we use a water-absorbing material to absorb all water outside on the couplings. Measured on a scale on 0.01 gram. Test media: Water. Temp: Ambient. DN 50 (2 ): 0.5 ml. Approvals DDCouplings in, and Hastelloy have been approved and certifi ed by APRAGAZ and Tüv in pressure stage PN 25 bar, and in pressure stage PN 16 bar. Our DDCoupling in gives you the most positive, seal safe connections you can fi nd anywhere. The Tank unit is supplied with parallel BSP threads and fl at sealing surface. This allows the use of the full thread length for screwed-on parts. Also available with tapered internal NPT threads and parallel S60X6 threads. Inner parts in Stainless Steel AISI 316. Protecting ring in weather resistant rubber. Electrically conductive. Riveted piston pin to minimize the risk of failure under extreme pressure conditions. Ball bearings in stainless steel. PTFE (Tefl on ) bearing between the piston shaft and the piston guide to eliminate the risk of seizure. Conical valve seat to eliminate the risk of piston blow out when extreme pressure is used. Rollers in Hastelloy C 276 on the shaft to minimize the risk of seizure. PTFE (Tefl on ) bearings between the driving plate and the piston guide to eliminate the risk of seizure.
