3 I ntroduction T hank you for choosing this 3B Scientific carefully p roduct. a nd collaborative T rucorp Ltd product. Please read the operating instructions b efore setting up t he device. This will ensure that it works correctly, and that you can work satisfactorily with this CPRL illyair i s a training s imulator for cardio- p ulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and airway m anagement. The s imulator meets t he l atest CPR guidelines of the AHA (American Heart Association) and the ERC (European Resuscitation Council). The simulator has a robust construction, is easy to use, and offers realistic working scenarios. It is therefore suitable both for m edical training a nd f or f irst a id c ourses i n s chools a nd a ssociations. I t o ffers a ll t he n ecessary f eatures f or l earning a bout t he life-s aving a lgorithm c omprising heart massage and artificial respiration for adults. Its features a re: Torso with shoulders and the necessary a natomical features for finding the ideal pressure point for cardiac m assage Head with airways for mouth-to-mouth and mouth-to-n ose r esuscitation T rucorp airway with the most realistic internal anatomical details for full range of airway management t echniques H ead tilt to open the a irways R esuscitator ventilation is p ossible R ealistic t horacic s pring f orce a nd t he r equired c ompression d epth o f 5 c m p repare t he t rainee f or a s ituation w ith a r eal p erson A sound indicates that the required compression d epth has been r eached T hanks to the disposable respiration bags the mannequin is hygienic, and is easy to clean and m aintain CPRL illyair h ave t wo r espiratory s ystems t hat a re d isconnected f rom e ach o ther. T he a dvantage: t he u ser s breath goes i nto the disposable throat bag only. T he inner circulation is notc ontaminated. CPRL illyair is a collaborate model m ade b oth in Germany and i n the UK While developing CPRL illya IR w e paid special attention to creating a simulator that would be q uick and easy to use, especially with regard to hygiene and for large training groups. The face mask is dish-w asher safe and replace- ments can be bought. For maximum hygiene you can provide each course participant with his or her own mask and disposable t hroat b ag. T he Trucorp Advance Airway head is easy to interchange for quick training scenarios but CANNOT be used for m outh to mouth and should only be sued for airway management using proper D elivery contents: CPRLillyA IR comprises ; 1 T rucorp Advance a irway h ead 1 C PR Lilly head 25 Throat bags 1 Carry case 1 Disinfectant 1 Tracksuit top 1 Bottle of Trucorp Lubrication 1 Android tablet PC 1 Plug adaptor for the charger s imulator, 5 Lower face masks (including teeth) equipment. 3

T his may t ake up to 3 hours. While on charge, the LED indicator will flash orange quickly. When the LED flashes orange s lowly, the battery is fully charged. To a void getting moisture into the inner circulation, respiration may only be carried out when a throat bag h as b een inserted. The throat bag should not be changed in the rain, because water could get into the inner circulation. The CPRL illyair c ould get damaged W hen being used, noises will be heard T his does not mean that the simulator is not working p roperly! Rotate 3B CPR Lily head counter clockwise to loosen the head and ensure the rotation pin has passed a long to the end point 4. C arefully pull the head towards you to detach it from the CPR lily body 5. Remove all 3 connection points: 1: Airway connector, 2: PCB black plastic housing cable and 3: pneumatic pressure tubing. All 3 connection points have snap fittings and should b e ea sily disconnected 6. R emove the CPR Lily head and attach the Trucorp Advance A irway head for intubation and airway m anagement 7. A lign head up and ensure that cylindrical part of the collar is aligned with the cavity in the CPR Lily body. 7
8 8. S lowly attach all 3 connection points. 9. S lowly align the rotation pin with the CPR Lily body and insert rotating clockwise to lock into place. 10. R otate fully until head is perpendicular to the floor or surface and facing straight f orwards. 11. Pull neck skin back down and around the newly secured head and reconnect the button studs for s ecurity. 12. T he head is now ready to use. 13. THE HEAD NEEDS TO BE CALIBRATED WHEN IT HAS BEEN INTERCHANGED TO START A NEW S IMULATION CALIBRATING HEAD FOR SIMULATION 1. A llow the head to lie flat on a surface so that the electronics can reconfigure that this is in the neutral p osition. 2. W ait until you see a message stating that the head is calibrated and that you can begin a new simulation 3. Upon doing a simulation putting the head into the sniffing position will trigger the head image on the t ablet to go green to illustrate the head is in the correct position to allow intubation and bag mask ventilation 4. T he head will need to be in the sn iffing positon to ensure full electronics are used for each simulation. P ower supply The CPRL illyair is powered via the small- d evice 15 Volt socket. CPRLillyAIR c omes with a multinational mains adaptor for u se in over 150 countries. It can operate betwee n 100 and 240 Volts and at a mains frequency of 50 or 60 Hz. W e recommend always charging the CPRL illyair w ith the supplied mains adaptor i ncluded. C hanging/charging the batterydoing a course with a flat b attery Even if the battery is flat, you can s till do your course! Simply connect the mains adaptor to the CPRL illya IR. E xtended period of non-u se If the device is not used for an extended period of time, ensure that the battery is n ot damaged by becoming completely d ischarged. C PRLillyAIR i s charged at least every two years, so that 8
9 I f you intend to not use the device for an extended period, charge the battery up completely until the LED flashes orange s lowly. C hanging the b attery T he CPRLillyAIR has a very long-life NiMH battery that on ly discharges very slowly. It should only be changed by a specia- l ist or an authorised electrician. f or inserting the new battery are provided with the b attery. You c an order a replacement battery from the accessory list if necessary.
