8 obbe Arcus Arcel RTF Glider Review - RC Groups 8 z :01 Nice review...where did you puchase it. Robbe stuff is hard to find around these parts. This is very similar to the Multiplex EasyGlider, which is also very nice. What is a gullet? Finishman 2000, the plane is not in the US at this time. I do believe Robbe will ship to the US though. Be on the lookout though I think it is coming soon. Thanks for your support It looks like the exact clone of Multiplex EasyGlider Electro... is this the same model? No, it is not. I also did a review of Grand Distributions Hawk and they look the same, but many differences. I beleive this plane is exculsive to Robbe through their OEM. Looking forward to getting an Arcus since I am a big Robbe fan. I am very pleased with my EZ Glider electric but had to experiment with 3 power packages to arrive at what I am using now. (Astroflight 19 inrunner direct to a Fruedenthaler 9.5x 5 folder and Esprit (BB 34 mm turbo spinner). Draws 24 amps from a 3s 2200 mah Hobby Lobby "20" Lipo pack. Has nice speed and thrust combo. Tried Multiplex Speed 480/long can 400 with stock gear box, 10/6 Cam folder, 30 mm spinner and performance was about 10%better than stock. Then tried a Dymond 25 amp esc and Gunther 450 Tornado. I really liked this lightweight set up and flew it for 50 or so flights but worried about heat damage (18-20 amps x 11 volts ) to magnets so swapped it out for the Astro. I had to glass nose for firewall motor mount and hollow out foam. This combo is similar to Hitec's upgrade with 6 turn Multiplex BL with pinion to stock gear and prop but is more simple since it is direct drive. The Arcus design improvements appear to take over where the EZ Glider Electric stops. Looking forward to getting one!

It foams and foams and foams. You just have to wipe it off over a period of 20 minutes to an hour. Nice thing as I said is ti is celar and reamains clear. Strong as can be. Although I tried to keep up with the foaming I utimately had some I missed. It was not a problem to remove from the Arcus. I would as with any glue test first. Also I really liked the quickness of the set. Hmm. So, if you put them side-by-side, is there any consistency difference between the two? Does the clear one dry any faster? That's about the only thing I could see worthwhile in it. The brown stuff foams and foams and foams too, and it ends up a pretty light tan color anyways. Forgive me for intruding on the Arcus review with a comment about polyurethane adhesives. Here's a link to a post I made concerning Loctite's Sumo glue, which I feel is superior to Gorilla Glue. I believe it is only available at Lowe's home improvement stores right now. Extremely strong stuff and will not eat foam. Actually, I saw that stuff at Sears. I wasn't really sure what it was at the time, but it looks pretty cool. Maybe if I ever run out of Gorilla glue, I'll give it a try. Also, I kind of treat every forum/post/whatever here the same and discuss about whatever I feel like (as long as it doesn't seem too way far off topic ). Is this mutually considered incorrect?
10 10 z :01 I see the posts as exploratory. Even though the article was about the Arcus the glue I knew would raise some eyes. Side, by side the brown and clear seem the same. The clear though advertises it has more uses. Any glue that does not eat foam is worth exploring. As fro time set, it is really quick. Faster then I though it would be. Only have to hold things a shorth time maybe a minute or two. You can still move it a little if you need to. Once it set I did not notice any movememt while I was wiping thing down.
